MIUI - Indicator turns green at 90% - no problem, that is how it should work on MIUI.
Battery should be calibrated with the Nexus one calibrator app - search for a guide.

[Q] Phone is not turning automatic off when battery level is low

Hello,
I have a question/problem, hopely can someone help me.
My Desire is rooted and has villian 0.8 rom.
For a couple of days ago when my battery level is 7% the phone automaticly shut down. Saterday a i had calibrate my battery (full charge-shut down-full charg-start and shut down- fullcharge- wipe battery stats-reboot).
Now the phone is not shutting down when battery level is 7% but when battery level is 0%.
I recover my orginal HTC rom but this won't fix it. Now I'm back to villian.
Is its possible to fix this?
Thanks
Desire

Villian 0.8
Well usually the phone shuts down, when there is no charge left. Mine always shut down at 0% (stock froyo - leedroid), so for me that's the correct one...
0% = empty ? do you expect it to run with no power ?
I had always think that android has a safety build in it to shut down your phone when the battery almost is empty. This was working, but now not anymore

Battery Problem: On Leedroid

Installed Leedroid froyo over stock rom.
Replaced the radio with recommended one.
Installed the kernel.
SET CPU= Smartass
Problem: 8-9 hours standby time. No wifi. Phone on 3g network.
New problem: Phone's screen is not getting off automatically since i updated the kernel.
Please help. It is driving me nuts. If I use gtalk for about 2 hours, battery is drained off in 5 hours.
Its a brand new phone and battery had a days back up on stock rom with conservative usage.
Was your battery at 100% when you flashed the radio? I had to recalibrate my battery after flashing a radio on my standard Desire when the battery was at about 50% as I was only getting about 6 hours standby. See here for recal method: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/calibrate-your-htc-desire-battery/

Did that. The only problem am facing in this is when I achieve a green light and 100% with the phone switched on, the moment I shutdown/power off the phone to charge further, the CWM recovery console comes up with a backlight and the orange battery indicator never turns green (even after 1-2 hours).
So at orange indication only I wiped battery stats, and thereafter there was no improvement in battery life.
I would advice to wipe all (backup first of course), install the ROM again, monitor the drain with nothing installed (except battery monitor widget).
I usually do a test in flight mode (target=2mA)
then with phone ON (data ON/OFF doesn't change a lot for me) (target 3-4mA)
!!! disable all autosync !!!
If you have the same values I will say that it's ok.
Then add one by one your kernel, account sync, appli an monitor the drain (at each step).
You will find what is draining your phone.
Do not forget that the drain is subjectif. In GPS I have often more than 300mA drain!
Where do I download the battery monitor widget?
you can download it at HTC widgets for battery monitoring.
Current drain is at 250-300. That too in standby. Gps off. Wifi off. Don't know what is happening
Airplane mode it is 134

Defy Help !!!

Hello Friends,
I am new to Motorola defy, installed CM7 RC 1.5 few days after purchase.
Now i am having few issues.
1.) Battery indicator shows 99% immediately after charging unplug (Not even touching screen or any other key). Is this normal to all ?
2.)Phone remains hot and always 35c+ even in ideal.
3.) 2-3 Hrs continuous usage drains battery to 60% after fully charged.
4.)"Choose Catalog" option on widgets forces Adw.Launcher to close.
O/C : 15/300 24/600 44/1000 ,up_threshold 86% stable,no random reboot,no freeze, no lags.
Any help would be appreciated.
its normal for it to show 99% ....the temp will remain that high if u r overclocking

Calibration needs to be done after flashing a new ROM.
Download Battery Calibration from the app store and install it.

[Q] HTC DHD 4.2.2R8 drain battery so much

Hi everyone!
I'm using JellyTime 4.2.2R8 on my DHD.
It's working fast but battery drain so much.
Ex: I only view screen, scroll something. Everage 1 minute, battery degree 1-2%
Who can help optimize this problem?, thanks!

Hi,
I installed JellyTime R8 on Monday evening, and I haven't experienced such a battery drain so far, it goes down a bit faster than my stock Gingerbread+Sense ROM. I might have other stats issues (wrong "on battery" duration, charge stuck at 90%...), but no drain so far.
I am not well experienced in flashing ROMs and how to solve problems, but I have seen lots of people advising to flash the battery stats and recalibrate. But you need a few complete charge/discharge cycles to make it work properly. (But according to a few other people, it's a kind of religious belief too...)
You can also install a more precise battery stats app. I saw a more detailed message in Jellytime Dev thread (in one of the last pages). If I find it again, I let you know.
BetterBatteryStats

I cannot find again the thread/post where I saw this information, but the application some people advise to use is BetterBatteryStats.
To give you a counter example: since I flashed JellyTime R8 (Monday 20th Mai, 23h GMT+1), I fully charged my phone only twice.
The first discharge took almost a day (but I used it a lot, configuring and playing with the new features).
The second discharge started 33 hours ago and I still have 50% as we speak. Maybe the stats are wrong, but the phone is still ON after 33hours. I'll let you know how long it lasts.
I am on GSM roaming all day long, but my phone stays most of the time in standby mode.
A few things that I've done to optimize the battery life:
- remove the constant location-tracking, both GPS and 3G (especially as GPS is not working since I flashed JT R8);
- remove permanent/auto 3G connection, as I am spending all the day abroad, it is useless to keep 3G activated, without data roaming on.
Go in Settings/location and switch the toggle off.
Go in Settings, expand Wireless and Networks (Plus), then Mobile Networks and untick the first box (my ROM is in french so I am not 100% sure of the translation, it might be something like Activate Data)

Thanks Matth59 !
I toggled off some setting in phone (GPS, MobileData, effect screen, animation, turn off notification some app...)
But but it does not improve the problem of battery.
I charged full battery, after 24minutes
Saw status of battery on 24m19s, (95%)
Screen 70% (I set bright of screen about 20-30%)
Cell standby 6%
Android system 5%
Phone idle 5%
Wifi 3%
Facebook 3%
Android OS 2%
Media server 2%

And how long does it usually take for it to be discharged?
The second time I charged it, it said that charge was complete and stopped charging at 90%, and I got the impression that it reached that level quite fast. But the device is still on, after 38 hours.
I hope somebody with more experience in that field can give you a better advice or more information, than just flashing the battery stats and recalibrate it.
After one week of using R8, this is how battery is going for me.
On standby, it can last as long as it used to with the stock Sense + Gingerbread ROM (or even a bit more, but maybe because I haven't reinstalled all my apps).
When using the phone, battery life is going down quite fast, and I am not sure if it can last more than 1 day of normal use (3g, mails, messages, calls...).
The most battery consuming task is the screen. It makes me wonder if it could be related to the feature that was introduced by Google since JellyBean 4.1: Project Butter, which makes everything smooth in Android.

I my battery gone?

Hi dear friends, i have triyed the battery test in htc diagnostic program, and i finish the session with a percentage more then 75% so it means is a good thing, but sometimes the phone shuts down when the battery says is at 40% and one second later is at 1% , and sometimes when the percentage is under 50% and i try to shot a pic it does the same, i triyed to calibrate it multiple times, but is always the same, maybe is an battery related problem?
