Moto 360 sudden death - Moto 360

Hi,
I bought the moto 360 in about a month and a half ago.
Yesterday I charged my watch to 100% and wear it on me(as I do every day) suddenly my phone alerts that the watch is disconnected I'm looking at the watch and it turned off! I was trying to recharge it and turn it on but with no success!
Does someone knows what to do?
by the way, I have never used my moto near water, it never got hit and basically it's in new condition.
thanks!

Happened to me as well

Try and put on charge and at the same time hold down the power button until it vibrates keep trying..

Similar thing happened with me today. I have been using the watch since Oct and today it was almost fully charged in the morning and then randomly a few hours later the battery had drained and was at 8%. This is the first time this has ever happened. Usually the battery uses between 4-6% per hour.
WHATS GOING ON??

Same exact issue happened to me, put it on the charger and now it won't turn on. Tried holding the button to turn it on, left it on the charger overnight and still nothing

Try leaving it alone...
It must be on a deep sleep mode or something, leave it alone until the battery dies for like, a day or two.
Try recharging it then.

i need replacement screen
Hi, i went under the shower by accident with my moto 360 on , and now the screen is f*cked up.
the watch boots up, but the screen is just dead.
If you cant get a replacement or repair it yourself, could you please send me a message, than you can send your watch to me, and i can give u some money for the effort,
if you are intrested please leave me a message:fingers-crossed:

I might have killed my Battery (FIXED...for now)

Hey Guys,
I am running the Cell Pro 9.5 ROM and since yesterday my phone doesnt turn on.
So this is what happened, I never got a chance to recharge my phone yesterday and so I used it to the very last bit of juice. The phone kept switching itself off with the critical level battery warning and I kept turning it back on. So it got to a point where it wasn't switching on at all. So I pluged in the phone to the computer to charge and left it there for approximately an hour (the orange charging light was on), came back and tried to switch the phone back on and it didnt respond at all. Took out the battery, tried the soft reset button etc and everything else I thought of with no luck. So I plugged it back on and suddently it turned back on, did the boot up, loaded the touchflo and I saw the battery level was at "0" and then suddenly it turned of with a "tuck" sound (similar to a PC when you hold down the power button or turn the power off without shutting down). This has been repeating since then, I have left it plugged in and every 5-10 minutes or so the phone switches on by itself and shows the boot screen, go all the way till HTC animation and powers off suddenly. I have had no luck in turning the phone back on, I dont what is causing the issue - wether its the battery or the phone.
Please give me your thoughts....I am completely lost without my phone...
- issue was that the phone kept restarting as soon as the battery stored enough charge for a reboot. I pulled out the battery at one of the restart cycle as advised below and stopped it from repeating it. After that the phone let the battery charge without a restart, did not mess with it for a long while.
Never let the battery drain all the way down to 0%. Not sure if it affects the battery, but it sure will give you enough hassle that you wont repeat it.

The same thing happened to me last night... but mine works now. what I thought it was is that it kept turning on as soon as it had enough battery to do so then it would die and repeat... So every time it would turn on
I would take the battery out and let it charge some more and then when it quit turning back on I left it overnight and now its on...

Ok....I will try that and report back....
Sorry you pull the battery then the cord then put the battery back in then cord. Also it will take a lot longer if you charge it on the computer.
Never mind mine quit working again...

I managed to get it charging after pulling out the battery and putting it back again. Charged it through a computer cause i dont have my charger with me.
I turned it on and the battery said 40% and now every second or so it is dropping by 1%. I can literally watch it dropping down sitting here. The phone doesnt want to charge when it is on. I plug in the usb and the LED turns orange and then turns off. Now the battery is at 25%, This is litterally in about a minute or less. I dont know whats wrong, is it the Battery?
I had this exact same thing happen to me twice on previous HTC hardware (wizard). The first time I couldn't save it and just had to buy a new battery. However, the second time it happened I was able to resurrect it once I got it plugged into a higher-current charging source, like the wall charger it came with, or even most car chargers (that's how I saved it when I couldn't get to my wall charger). I had to let it sit on there for about an hour before it held enough charge to stay on, and another 2 hours before it was fully charged, but it worked just fine after that.
You battery may indeed be toast from what you describe. I have had the experience of totally discharging the battery and the device not coming on at all. I recommend that if you do this, you should fully charge it using the wall charger NOT the computer (if the computer works at all. it didnt in my case). I have done this a few times now and the battery turned out fine each time.

My issue seamed to be fixed. I had to rely on a computer as I didnt have access to my charger and by the time I did my phone was at approximately 65% charge. I plugged it in and charged it all the way to 100%. Replugged it and left it for a little more while to make sure it got charged completely. I have been using it since today morning 9am and now it is 2pm at 73% after couple of calls, messages and emails.
Few more charging cycles with the wall charger and I am hoping it will be back to normal.

[Q]

hello! yesterday i went to the beach. i know it was really hot [but not above 60 C] but i kept my phone in the bag and shut down because it didn't have any energy left.when i got home something appeared on the screen and it said something like this: reboot, shut down and something else i can't remember. i think i pressed reboot first time and then shut down. i tried to turn it on but it didn't work. when i recharged it the phone turned on. i wrote some msgs, i talked on the phone, it was alright. this morning i took the phone with me in my bed, at around 9 o'clock and it didn't have anything. i slept till 10 o'clock when i woke up the phone was again turned off.after many tries, it turned on but the touch screen wouldn't work and the battery couldn't charge. now its turned off and i don't know what else tot do. is it the battery? do i have to buy a new one?
sorry for any language mistakes but my native language its another.
thank you so much for any upcoming answers.
There is orange led when the phone is charging ?
When its charging, yes. So.. sometimes. I tried a factory reset just now:it turned on but then.. nothing. Its turned off again. Do I have to make a soft reset? I don t have warranty.
Take out the battery and leave it to cool for a couple of hours. Then charge it (while powered off), leave it again to cool and then use it

Powerskin not charging GS3

Hey guys I was excited this morning when my Powerskin case arrived. Unfortunately after opening it and putting it into my phone, the power button does not seem to start charging it. I hold it down anywhere from 1-30 seconds, double clicking, etc. The power button seems to work as when you press it it shows the current charge of the battery. I decided to fully charge it but that seems to do nothing. I realize that its probably busted, just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem because its very frustrating to have to go through the whole return routine since Im on a college campus and Ill have to go a ways away to get to a place to buy a new package to send this with. Thanks guys.
From what I understand the powercase doesn't use its reserve bank until your actual fones battery dies. Then it uses the reserve power?

When it comes in, it might not have been charged, usually it is about 50 percent. To turn it on you only press the power button once, to tun it off you hold it down, and all four lights turn on and then go off one by one. It will charge your phone when It's on, but if you do that it will probably charge 40% if you turn your phone off at 60% it will charge 40% twice. I have a thread

[Q] cannot turn on my 360

I got my 360 a month ago and it had been doing great with me.
But earlier I put it on the stock cradle and the circle appeared showing 52%.
Then I went to take a shower, and I found it completely dead when I came back.
The light of the cradle still turns on but my 360 just cannot be turned on anymore.
I looked into these threads but failed to find a solution. 1) Won't boot or charge, 2) [Q] DOA, 3) [Q] Won't boot or charge at all
I'm not living in the US so it's not possible for me to send it back to Moto unless I don't have to take shipping fee into consideration.
Attached is captured from Wear Battery Stats.
It seemed shut off after charging to around 80%.
I tried different cables but still couldn't boot it up, though it's getting warmer.
Gonna charge it overnight and see if it works.
:crying:
No worry mat, just try to hold moto360 power button until the watch vibrate (take around 20 25 second or so) and it will turn on like normal. Just faced the same issue 2 days ago

I asked for help from Moto's online customer service and he asked me to do that for more than 2 minutes.
Unfortunately, the screen still showed nothing and no vibrations at all.
Hence by way of that trouble-shooting he did via online chat, he recommended I send it back for a replacement.
I'm gonna take a nealy $100 of shipping fee into account.

Phone switched off overnight

I have recently purchased the A50 and love it. However, this morning I woke up late for work as my phone had switched off during its overnight charge. There was no way to turn it back on until at least 10 minutes after taking it off charge and frantically running to work. Once the phone was on, it had 100% battery.
Does anyone have any idea why this happened? Could it be an overheating issue?
This has never happened to any other phone I've owned.
I have been charging with the cable the A50 comes with but with the S7 plug. Could that be the culprit?
If that's the case I will just use the A50 plug itself.
I have looked everywhere for an answer. This only happened today and may never happen again but I would like to know other people's opinions.
Don't know why this happened, bug somewhere, software update, don't know, but do you really need to leave the phone on an overnight charge,
The treakle charge at 100% is known to cause heating issues, and I hear the a50 is not the most durable phone,.
Strange that it would just turn the phone off completely

To be honest, it could have been as simple as electric fluctuation. I have no idea.
I didn't charge last night as I as slightly reluctant to do so.
So far, the phone is working flawlessly and hasn't restarted or shut off on its own. I will eventually charge it once the power drops to almost 0.
Will update so as to let everyone know in case there are similar issues out there.

When it happened to me it was the second time I had charged over night, the first time was fine.
I haven't done it since and so far the phone has been fine.
During Update my phone A50, I just press Power button+Vol down button together. After that my phone was off and can not on till now. I tried to press vol up + power button together but it did not work. Can you please Help.
My Samsung A50 just went off by itself after power went off and has refused to come up. Truth is i have charged it several times using this same power and i can tell power is almost stable except that i am using a different charger head to charge for some time now. Wont sill come up, any help or suggestion?
We have several of these A50's and up to now we had 3 of them with this problem.
At the moment that it refuses to turn back on i noticed that the back of the phone is warm , between the top of the phone and the word SAMSUNG . The rest of the phone is cold.
I left the phone alone for about 4 hours without power cable plugged in , after those 4 hours i plugged it in and after a minute it started charging with a indicator of 0% .
You can also try a forced reboot ( hold volume up and down + power button for 5 sec )
Did anyone manage to solve this issue? My girlfriend's A50 has shut down twice overnight now, and the only way to turn it on is by pressing power and volume down for 10 seconds. She has the May update.
Same issue here, i reset my phone to factory settings then install all of my applications and since do that, the issue doesn't occurs any more till now (1 week)
Same here!
Same situation here!
It turned off during the night 3 times now!!
I was late to work The first time, now I have to activate the alarm on my wife's phone, because I don't trust this one anymore.
To turn it back on, you don't need to wait 4 hours, you just have to press power and volume down.
Samsung has to do something about this!

That doesn't sound like it's actually turning off. More like it gets stuck with screen off and you're making a forced reboot with the button combination.

Yeah that might actually be the case, and it's completely hung since alarms won't go off. Apparently it does not seem like an isolated case so I guess we'll see what the store says.
Same situation at my A50 to. No notifications,no reaction, no alarm, no reacttion after simple power button press, only black display. It get alive only with described buttons combination-power+vol up .
The problem occure only after night charging time, in the morning.
I was advised not to leave on charge overnight. I have just got this phone and was asking live chat about something else and she mentioned new smart phones did not require full overnight charges and unplug as soon as it’s finished charging.. also that fully discharging battery to 0% is not recommended either and should be charged around 20% to increase the life of the battery. I think I will try that advice. Always had Samsung phones and been happy with my S5 for many years..but it’s very outdated and decided on upgrade but can’t justify the price of S10 lol.
