I have an caller id app that checks incoming phone numbers over internet.
But when I'm using LTE / 4G the phone has no network when answering.
If I switch 4G off it works perfectly.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Are there any ways to solve it?

Hi,
Does anyone have any ideas on a specific problem I have with the One X (on t-mobile - sim only contract in UK)
Had the phone since it first came out and the last 6 weeks I've been unable to send or receive texts while the phone is in 3g (wcdma mode or wcdma/gsm auto). The only way I can receive/send texts and calls is in gsm mode. I've been on the phone with T-Mobile for over an hour making sure my service centre number and network operator is correct and I have no signal issues (mostly full signal).
I've tried turning the wi-fi off to see if that's an issue but it makes no difference. What's weird is that in 3g (wcdma) mode I have no problems with data, so I can use the internet/facebook/twitter apps and upload/download pics and files just fine.
The engineer at T-Mobile (android dept) told me there's a 3g and 2g antenna in the phone and the 3g antenna may be faulty. Sounds plausible but wouldn't that mean no data connection on 3g too? I've also been told to check my micro sim in another phone, which I'll do when a friend comes round (I don't have any other phone that uses micro sims).
I just thought I'd check in here to see if this is a known issue. I've googled and nothing's turned up with this particular problem. Normally it isn't an issue as I use wi-fi for data so just keep the phone in gsm mode. However, when I'm out I swap to 3g sometimes and forget to swap back. I had two days worth of missed calls and texts when I forgot to switch back this weekend
In summary:
gsm mode = texts, calls and internet all working fine (though slow data connection, obviously)
wcdma = no texts or calls but internet fast and working fine.
Any ideas, help or advice would be appreciated. I don't want T-Mobile saying it's a phone problem and HTC telling me it's the network's problem.
The same problem here using a WWE model (no carrier) in Vivo Mobile (Brasil).
No solution until know...

Hi all, I hope I can get help here since I'm getting crazy trying to have my p8000 with Rogers connectivity.
I've tryed on both Stock and Eragon roms with same results.
The phone seems to only be able to find 1 network - ROGERS 4G. It registers it, but then I can only get the messaging to work... both calls and internet are still down.
Also important to say that the reason why I can't see the LTE might be related to my old sim card. I'll be replacing it soon.
Anyways, in the mean time I could use some help with:
- assuming I can only connect to the 4g, should I be able to have calls at all? are calls delivered through 4g? 3g? 2g? all?
- Any reason why I can only see 4g? is the phone not capable of connecting to 2g/3g?
- anything else I could try? different modem drivers, some app to assist on this?
Thanks
update
I partially solved the issue...
few notes.... since I leave in canada, the 3g frequencies do not work...
So, I can only have internet with 2g or 4g....
no this brings one other issue regarding receiving phone calls while phone is in 4g... it does not know the calls are coming since they are transmitted using 2g... any way phone monitors 2g incoming calls while using 4g internet?
Hi
Any progress on this. I have the same issue (p8000 and rogers) Have you found a solution?
I'm on Rogers with the P8000. When it is showing 4G, I'm surfing away fine. Making a call, it switches to 2G because like most carriers (other than Wind/Mobilicity), voice calls are on the 2G network. I dont believe the P8000 has 3G bands that we use in N.America so you are only going to get 4G or 2G.
According to willmyphonework.net, the P8000 is able to use all of the frequencies. Therefore, you should have 2g, 3g and LTE.
Is this not the case?
Currently I am in stock room.
My phone suddenly drops the network (Wi-Fi and cell network) but it is not in airplane mode.
I won't be able to receive any calls, but the caller will hear busy tone.
During the whole time my network shows few bars, but it is probably fake network.
I am just missing many calls due to this problem, and when some one notifies over other phone I will get to know and I will put into airplane more and back, the network resets and works fine.
Can anyone know what is the problem ??
I have reset my phone also, but of no use.
Thanks in advance.
So I'm wonder if anyone else has been having a problem with their 4G on MetroPCS. Like I've been having trouble receiving calls and using my 4G data. But if I go in my mobile networks settings and set my Preferred Network Type to 3G or GSM/WCDMA, I can get calls but I can't use data at all. But if I set it to 4G/LTE it works for a bit but the signal just slowly dies to just 1 bar and I can't do much except make a call.
Anyone else facing a problem of lost data connection during a call? It happens even even with wifi connection. I sometimes need to use the internet during a call... but the internet connection automatically disappears for the duration I'm on call. As soon as I end the call everything is normal.
When on LTE the phone automatically switch to 3G/UMTS during call (VoLTE is not supported by much providers yet).
During the switch if you're in a bad 3G area or with many people on your cell data connection is lost, the phone gives the priority to the call obviously. LTE is working very differently so that's why you can have a nice LTE data connection and without moving a ****ty UMTS data connection.
I've managed to browse web during my calls without issues on the 5T.
