obnoxioius Softcard notifications - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Lately, Softcard has been issuing notifications on my Note 4 that harass me to shop at places I have no interest in. Denying location access to Softcard does not stop the notifications. Does anyone know of a way to do so, other than uninstalling the app?

Uncheck this.

Oh, that's pretty easy. Thanks!

[Q] Sprint VVM

I used to be a hater of Sense ROMS, but a few months ago I decided to go with MikG3.11 and am rather pleased with it. Very fluid once you set up V6 and other tweaks. I used to use Google Voice with my decks 1.3d setup, however, I lived in a rural area and used Google Voice mainly to text on wifi since I had no signal.
I have since moved and have service everywhere and want to try and use Sprints VM app, but Idk how to get the visual voicemail to work. Do I have to actually subscribe or is there a work around?
Bump? :XX
VVM in mikg works already.... You don't need to subscribe. What exactly is the problem?
When you receive a voicemail, just open the voicemail app, and click on it. It should open it and have a GUI instead of a dialer

Well I tried sending myself a voicemail and it didn't transcribe it. Just had a button that said subscribe. Do I have to reflash and port all my apps over again?

I downloaded the rom and went through the files of the zip and pulled the apk from it and installed, saw a guide for ICS to provision it and got it working, but didn't use the app in the post....
Got it provisioned, moved to system/app and it downloads my VM's, but it still wont transcribe. Help?

The Voice-to-Text feature of VVM is a subscription service. You typically get a 30-day free trial prior to subscribing, but after that, yes, some fee gets charged to your Sprint bill.
I think that's what you're asking.
Ah, ok. So all the threads I've seen is to just get the app. There is no way to actually get VVM unless you subscribe then. Shame really, I enjoyed the feature on Google Voice, but since I now live in an area with service, I'm trying to break away from it because I never did really enjoy it. Unless somebody knows how to have it alert for JUST voicemails, and not texts, as I now use a different messenger app, would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

It handles Voicemails by default. That part is free.
that part I know, but I always liked being able to take a glance at it and get a basic idea of what the message was about.... but 2$ a month... it's not bad, but I already get charged a stupid fee of 5$ for a "spending limit" that they qualified me for of which I didn't ask

Samsung Email Speaking Emails when S-Pen is in use.

Anyone else notice this? When i'm using the S-Pen and i open the email the device just starts speaking the emails. I have not been able to find a way to disable this. It only happens when the S-pen is out though

Google Account Hacked???

I just found three apps on my Sprint account that i didn't buy on February 13. I got a credit for them, $10 total, but anyone else see anything suspicious from that time frame? Thinking it was right before MB1 update.
I had one purchased and went to sprint account last month and don't know how that happened. Needless to say I got a credit back for it and I changed all my passwords again

You have to turn it on in your google accont settings (not on the phone, on a browser). It's under account settings --> Security. Should be the section heading, "Two-step verification".
Strange. I wasn't charged for any apps but I did have $20 in international text fees that I know for a fact I hadn't sent out :sly:

Yeah this
Back when texting was just starting up I would get charged when random people (who thought they were texting the original owner of a certain number) would text me. Many calls to sprint and talks with representatives laters, i blocked texts and all was good.
This was happening to me too! Sprint ended up reversing the charges but still very frustrating

Can the note 3 read your sms notifications to you?

I have been sending sms via voice using google, but I was wondering if there was an easy way to have them read to me. I'm thinking while Im walking listening to music, it would be nice to hear them without pulling it out. As it is now, I hear the notification, so at least I know when they come.
I was looking in the settings, but didn't see anything. Is it in the settings, or do I have to get an app?
Readittome in market.

Robin from play store... It's very similar to Siri on Apple. works flawlessly

No Spam Message Blocking? Had it on the Note 4..

I upgraded from a Note 4 to the Verizon Samsung Note 7 today and have been unsuccessful in locating how to send contacts text messages to the spam folder - A feature that I used frequently on my previous phone. Does anyone have any idea where this feature could be? This is different than going into your contacts and blocking their phone calls. If this feature no longer exists, I will likely return the phone for a different one if I cannot find an app to send these texts to without replacing the default messaging app. Any help or ideas on this would be appreciated, thanks!
Verizon has taken that feature away and added their own. They want you to go on my Verizon add block it through there.
Lame huh.
I use an app in the play store called Hiya. An article I read said that White Pages and Hiya merged or WP bought the later and that Samsung was using them. I know it can integrate with messages but I haven't enabled it yet. So far this morning it rejected 5 calls, three were telemarketers or suspected and two were the IRS scam. It flashes for a brief second on the phone then shows "Call Rejected - Suspected Telemarketer", or whatever the reason for rejection. Then it allows you to view comments on the number or add comments of your own. It's pretty cool, although I sometimes miss answering with my latest, "<insert business> Pizza, Would you like to start with our new carry out special?". That or "Judges Chambers, bailiff...", always gets a quick hangup. Lol
Truecaller app is awesome.. I've been using it a long time.
