Hello folks I recently bought the tab S and trying to find some decent stylus for artwork and writing. wacom's fineline came to my mind, and was wondering if fineline works fully with palm rejection and 1024 pressure levels. Thanks in advance!

Samsung galaxy note 3 is about 4 months away. So far there hasnt been any confirmations from samsung of what it will be, hence putting the hardware aside. All I am interested to know is the future of S-pen. Can anyone predict of how the new spen will be? What will be its core functionality. I want to know how far samsung can go with this technology?
I hope someone has the answer

As far as I know they're just using Wacom's hardware and adding their own software features. I wouldn't expect anything new other than the size/shape and maybe a few new features. Maybe they'll integrate an eraser into the opposite end like a few of Wacom's styluses.

Until it is actually released, no one can answer your question. We can guess, (and hope) but not answer.

Hi,
Just wondering if anybody any recommendations for note taking apps which have implemented a software algorithm for palm rejection?
Thanks

Try inkredible. Not 100% guaranteed but with their optimizations they say it is
FYI our tabs don't have a wacom digitizer so I guess palm rejection is out of the question via hardware it all comes to software which would be difficult
Ah cool, thanks!
I will try that out.
Yup i knew the S Tab doesn't have a pen digitize like Wacom or N-Trig which is a shame especially for the premium price you pay.
Damn evernote doesn't have software palm rejection. haha
Yeah well that's life you can't have em all.
Well at least they got Palm acceptance
Hi everyone!
Looking for some help...
Is there a possibility to watch 3d over/under videos on t705?
I know, that our device doesn't support that stuff, but mayby someone figured this out.
Thanks for attention.

I'm talking about possibility of watching 3d videos without glasses. Some app maybe, that will transform over/under video, or smth like that.

You know that's not really possible with a standard display?
I have a Samsung 3D TV (I think the lcd has a double refresh rate 120mhz as it has to display the left and right image in the time an 60mhz TV normally does) and you need active glasses and the TV transmits a synchronization signal to them.
I have an old HTC evo 3D phone, that does not need glasses at all, I think it has a dual lcd layer screen or something, but you have to look at the screen at the right angle to get the 3D effect.
But the Tab S1 does not have a transmitter for 3D glasses or i think or a 120mhz screen, so i doubt it can display true colour 3D images/video thought i think it could display the old fashioned images that need those old red/green glasses but nobody uses them today.
John.
I suggest if you want cheap 3d you look into Google cardboard compatible goggles and use a suitable phone.

Yes As I wrote above, I know that t705 doesn't support 3d video & it's not compatible with standart 3d video players for android. But there are a lot of people (especially here, on xda) who figures out non-standard problem solving. Unfortunately I'm not one of them. That's the reason I started this thread.

You're asking the impossible. So there is no point in continuing this thread. [emoji55]
The only way you can get 3D on the T705 is to get an VR adaptor so that you wear the T705 like glasses, then left and right side of the screen shows a slightly different image giving you a 3D image, though i do not know what software you will need.

I don't know of any vr headset that can accommodate an 8" tablet? [emoji55]
Yeah, you are most likely right, but i have seen cardboard adaptors that some people use, maybe you can download a template and make your own to fit.

Been wondering the same thing. I haven't tried the Z Pen, but it's a bit pricey to take a chance with, even if I plan on trying to get a few years out of this tablet. Did you ever find anything?

That's too bad, but thanks for the quick reply.
Crud...Came hoping to find an answer to this question, too. The z-pen bites completely.
Offset is ridiculous, pressure sensitivity is really shoddy, and actual note taking and or drawing is as bad as if I was using one of those rubber-nubbed capacitive stylii that come bundled free with pretty much everything.
I love the tablet itself, but this stylus is a joke. I just can't afford to throw money at replacements unless I know they work. Almost makes me wish I still had my Note Pro 12.2...

i gave up some time ago, sorry mate ..but if you find something let me know thank you
Ya, I paid the high price for the Asus Pen and it broke..
Anyone find an alternative? The pen six for many reasons, including the holding clip is cheap and breaks easily.
I've got a Lenovo Pen for my convertible laptop but I've not tried it on my tablet. To be honest I didn't even think of it until I saw this thread. I'll give it a try because the Lenovo pen is really nice. Should I try and special apps etc? I'm on stock ROM and don't think I'll be rooting this device for a while.

told you so, i for my part will never buy anthing again from asus.
I got the watch the tablet and both are garbage.
I only messed with it for about 10 minutes before I went to my sons basketball game. I'll try again when I have more time to mess with it but I don't think it's going to work. BTW - The Lenovo pen works great on my laptop.
Hello, i didnt get a pen with mine, anyone selling his, or any idea where to buy legit one?
I got one a few months back on amazon.co.uk. I think it works really well. I use it for notes and sketching.
Search for m pen lite I think or mediapad m5 lite pen and it should be there.

It was £26.58. Not exactly cheap but I had factored in the cost when I bought the pad. Still worked out better value than a Samsung.
