No push?
Is it just me, or does this app not support push/IMAP Idle? Even with Gmail set up using IMAP, the emails don't come until refreshed or it checks for new mail, and there is no option for "as items arrive."
What's the deal with that? Very disappointing, unless I'm missing something.

I copied and pasted to system/apps but won't install. Am I doing something wrong?
edit: fixed with reboot
Do you guys happen to know if this version still has the same issues as the version that's been floating around since the galaxy tab came out?
I've flashed it before, worked great, or so I thought, until without warning I stopped receiving e-mail pushes. Apparently its an issue specific to exchange (which I'm using) with specific e-mails that will lock it up and prevent any new e-mails from being pushed. If you delete said problematic e-mails, it will start syncing again, but I can't take that chance with work.
If any of you guys happen to use exchange with this new galaxy tab e-mail app and have reliable success with it I'd love to hear about it. Otherwise it's plain old regular email app for me

[Q] Anyone able to change bootanimation in XPLOD mini?

Hello, I have been able to change on every other ROM i have used, but unable to here. Tried pushing using adb, tried using root explorer, and as of just now, I have reloaded the rom with the new bootanimation in it. Sad to say, I looked at the one that was preloaded in the rom, and that isnt even the bootanimation that shows. Ughhh, just getting frustrated, hope someone else knows. And yes, I even tried renaming it sanim.zip.

Boot animations are handled differently on ICS. Instead of bootanimation.zip it uses another format (I tried to look it up but I'm currently running AOKP which uses another format). I myself haven't seen any way to change it yet.
Sorry!

Yeah, I figured that much out. I was hoping I was wrong in my searches, but handled by a .qmg file. I just don't know how to edit to point in the right direction or even know how to read one yet. I was hoping someone out there could point me in the right direction. I have found a forum which explains how it is handled, just doesnt tell me how to read/edit the file. Still searching......

Okay, so an update is required here. Aftery research, all things point to samsung changing to bootani.qmg during froyo rollout. I can find several other threads with .qmg files in them for boot, but nothing with custom boots due to the .qmg software being too mich $$$$. Will keep this ipdated as much as I can. Seems that there is a hex editor that can read them??? But I am at work, so cant try until tonight.
EDIT: This software appears to be unobtainable. You can look at the .qmg file via hex editor, but after reading all day long, these types of files are a waste of time to try and change, and have been a dead topic here on xda for quite some time. It boils down to the kernel whether it will support a different boot animation or not. So.... Now you know how much a dev has to work in order to make us all happy, because believe me, kernels are not easy, nor creating a custom rom in order to match and flow smoothly with it.
MOD: Close this thread if deemed necessary, was just hoping for a good answer, finally found it myself...

FAIL to load BIOS in gameboid.

So I'm trying to get my emulation on with pokemon fire red, and it repeatedly will not let me load the game. I've tried others and it's random on which ones will work and which ones won't. Anyone else experience this and know how to get it to work? What do you do? Create a file for the games?

What's your setup? I'm having no problems.
Did you load gba_bios.bin? Google that and make sure that's the bios selected and then pick the rom.
Ah okay ill try. I think it might be easier zip file. I'll check back in.

Help with Downloading wildstang83 Rom Please

I couldn't download wildstang83 rom Desired Inc HD 3D Vsix. First I couldn't get the download to start I had an error that my javascript was not enabled. Now I can't even get to the Download Link.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Ok I'm able to get to the link but this is what I get when I click on it:
{"INFO":"failed posted hashcheck","SOLUTION":"please make sure you have javascript enabled for androidfilehost.com. Hit the back button, enable javascript and try again please. we promise we are probably not doing anything nefarious. maybe. no promises though."}
I even Enabled the Scripts in Internet Options>Security Tab and I also put the website on the Trusted list. Still nothing.
Are you downloading from your PC or phone?
That error means JavaScript is disabled in your browser. Google how to enable it in your particular browser. Are you doing it from a home or work PC?

Home PC. Like I mentioned I did Enabled the Scripts unless I'm missing something.
I'm starting to feel dumb now trying to download a simple file. Not like this is my first time.

Dont feel bad i get the same errors. Talked to stang and he said its the server and he cant do anything about it, and is unwilling to direct link his work on xda. In my opinion a rom you have to jump through hoops just to get, by a dev who is unwilling to distribute his work in a normal standard fashion, isin't worth being on my phone.

Build.prop

On my Kindle Fire, I am running TWRP 2.2.1 & CM10 SGT7 linaro.
My issue is that the Facebook app is not working correctly. It will open; I can view my news feed, like posts, create new posts, however, when I try to comment on a post, the field widens, but the keypad won't open and I cannot comment.
I was told I could edit my device to "Galaxy S" in the build.prop. I don't know how to find build.prop, much less edit it
Could somebody give me some advice, or point me in the right direction.
Thank in advance.

That's a typical problem of that version of Facebook. Revert to an earlier version.

Revert to an earlier version of the ROM or of the Facebook app? If its the app, where can I find an old .apk file to install the older version?
Thanks, Soup.
An earlier version of Facebook. You'll have to use Google or ask around to find one.
