Hey,
I got a problem with my Ascend P6. I was using a B014 KK based Custom Rom (Link), but encountered some problems with the rom, for example, the battery lastet not even a day with almost no usage of the phone. So I decided do perform a downgrade to JB. My intention was to flash the B107, then the B120 and then a JB based custom rom. So I started with downloading the B014 stock firmware to extract the stock recovery. After I flashed it succesfully via ADB, I copied the B107 UPDATE.APP file into the dload folder on my SD Card and installed the B107 as local update. The phone rebooted, passed the Huawei Ascend P6 logo, but is stuck at the 'pulsating' Huawei logo. Can anybody help me getting my P6 back to work?
Thanks, NotoriusBB

Edit: Ha, I just performed a factory reset when i was in the recovery after update failed due to low battery percentage and... Phone simply booted up
According to the latest reports we received from our readers, Huawei is finally pushing out official Android 4.4 update for people in some European countries such as Hungary,Romania and Czech Republic. This new B510 update seems to be the same one pushed to registered beta testers in Germany not too long ago. There is speculation and rumors going on that Huawei rushed and outed the beta firmware as official one, but knowing Huawei’s numbering scheme B510 still could be the final official one intended for release in Europe.
Here are some details about this official firmware
Compatible Model – Ascend P6-U06
Firmware version – B510
Android version – 4.4.2 KitKat
Emotion UI version – EMUI 2.3
Kernel version – 3.0.8-00787
Size – 775MB
Region – Europe
English language is included
We won’t go through describing the changelog here because you guys have probably know the changes by now because of the leaked and official Chinese firmwares. Basically this update brings the new EMUI 2.3 user interface and few new software additions to the camera and power saving features.
Again we still don’t know why Huawei pushed B510 firmware as a beta one to Germany and as a official one to others. The download file below is obtained from the official B510 release and not the B510 German beta release. So if future proves that both B510 aren’t the same you can be rest assured that we have provided you the official release.
Make sure that you are running B132 firmware before installing this new B510 release. This B510 was pushed to the users running official B132 firmware http://huaweinews.com/2014/03/ascend-p6-b132-firmware/ and early adopters of B510 reported us that B510 won’t install correctly as the previous leaked KitKat firmwares unless you are running B132 prior installing B510.

Please report the issues and your thoughts about this firmware in the comments below so other readers will be aware of it.

I cannot update to 510, i'm on b132... i tried OTA update and local update, none work for me...when it boots in recovery mode i get an error 7 something about music2.apk...i tried the download link ota download...but nothing...same error. I tried factory reset, wipe cache partition...still nothing...any ideas?
Hello !
This update work only for Stock Huawei Firmware B132 JB and also for Stock Huawei Beta B510 KitKat !
If you have issue to update from this two stock firmware, it seems that your stock rom in your device was modified , so you should put all the files back .
For all device already updated to KitKat but not Beta 510 , you can downgrade by installing a intermediate step ( update.app ) . Only now you are able to flash Stock B132 UPDATE.APP by /dload method .
For all device already updated to OmniROM KitKat 4.4.3, you can directly downgrade to B132 ( without install intermediate step update.app ) .
Put UPDATE.APP from Stock B132 in external sdcard/dload directory, also you should put back stock boot.img & recovery.img ( for B506 ) from second post TWRP 2.7.0.0 ! After these three steps you can downgrade by pressing combo key . ( Before put back stock recovery from B506, please go to TWRP recovery and wipe : cache, dalvik-cache, cust, data & system ) .
Good luck !

Nop, you shouldn't wipe Internal Storage on TWRP ! I already downgraded ( and more than once ) from OmniROM 4.4.3 directaly to UPDATE.APP from B132, but wiped all without Internal and External Storage .
Now , you can try with intermediate UPDATE.APP before flash UPDATE.APP from B132.
Good luck .
Does anyone knows about the B610 4.2 -> kitkat update schedule?

Is very simple mate, but I don't know if you understand ..
So, please put OmniROM 4.4.3 on your device !
- copy UPDATE.APP from B132 to external sdcard/dload folder ;
- go to TWRP and wipe : cache, dalvik-cache, data , cust & system !
- reboot to bootloader from TWRP !
- flash stock boot.img from B506CN ( fastboot flash boot boot.img )
- flash stock recovery.img B506CN ( fastboot flash recovery recovery.img )
- reboot your device ( fastboot reboot )
- now try to flash UPDATE.APP by combo key !
That's all -> now you are on Stock B132 !

Unzip the zip file to the SD card and select Local Update
Hi guys,
I've update my international B512 ROM to B706 China developer ROM. Now i want to get back to international, but the phone just wont let me do that, Tried with local update and even tried to flash B513.zip thru TWRP Recovery and it doesent want to put me back to international ROM. Please, tell me how to go back from China to International ROM!
you need to revert back to a rom called unicom (search should find something)..
with this unicom rom you are able to flash first jb rom (like b125) and then the known updates/upgrades to kk rom (like b512/513 and so on)..

Tried to search but no results - can you give me some link or something? Please...
here: To any one having same problem as me. Flash B118 Stock Recovery (via bootloader and fastboot commands) Download P6 Unicom EMUI2.0 from here http://dl.vmall.com/c01l4l4a2y#, unpack and copy dload folder to your memory card and install from "locale update" or force update from recovery by pressing power+volume-volume when phone is off. Next, download B132 International and make update the same way as before (update.app in dload folder). Last step, download B512 official international kitkat and again unzip and use "local update". Just remember to delete old update.app in dload folder. If you experiencing any issues, just do factory reset for fresh install. As my phone is P6-U06, I don't know if it will works for others.

Just please notice: after B132 update I've had message "android process media has stopped" and had to factory reset before update to B512 KK.
so best Idea make a backup of all your important things before you do anything.

I hope it will help to somebody else.
there is a link to the unicom rom..
Since everybody knows how to upgrade OTA or from LOCAL UPGRADE and go from 4.2 to 4.4 I've decided to let you know how to easily downgrade from 4.4 to 4.2 AND / OR change from Chinese to International Huawei Firmware!
The method I describe here, I've found in some German forums after long search. It really works! 100% tested on my device Ascend P6-U06!
!!! CAUTION !!!
Before you begin, you must be sure you have STOCK recovery, NOT TWRP one!!! This flashable files work and can be flashed only thru STOCK recovery!
If you have TWRP recovery and don't know how to go back to STOCK one, look the SECOND POST in THIS thread and follow the steps there, before you begin this procedure! ONLY after you're done with turning back your STOCK recovery and you're sure of that, you can continue with the following steps:
To Downgrade from Android 4.4 to Android 4.2 / Switch from Chinese to International ROM, do the following:
1. Download this (Unicom 2.0 Downgrade Flashable ZIP) and flash it thru STOCK RECOVERY - https://mega.co.nz/#!ZYVixBqa!JNMLRB2DUVKlGpZVqPJbIsdbVPijks7r1Mtk46KGrmE
This is a 240MB archive, also known as Unicom 2.0 - something like ROM, but it is not an entire ROM, but just part of it, that must be flashed thru stock recovery. You must unzip it, take the dload folder that is inside and put it on you sdcard. Than you can flash it like a local update thru the updater, or you can forcefully flash it - pres power+ volume down+ volume up and it will take you directly to flashing updates thru stock recovery. When you flashed it, you can once again boot normally into you Android device. Now you must take dload folder from the B132 zip (from the link below), once again put it on your sdcard and flash it again using the same methods again thru stock recovery. The cool thing is that the first little flashable zip allows you not just to downgrade from 4.4 to 4.2, but also change from China to International ROMs. So when you're finished flashing this thru stock recovery, flash the official international B125 or B132, wait for the system to install and boot into android. When it is finally booted, you can flash B510 or B512/513 - whatever you want. In my case when I downgraded to B132, after the first boot the system prompted me, that it can be updated directly to B520 OTA. I've updated and now I am once again with International firmware
2. Download this (B132 International 4.2 Firmware) and flash it thru STOCK RECOVERY ONLY if you already flashed the file in the step above! - https://mega.co.nz/#!5JkAzKpB!nFqfHIHfWo6EO4XPqjO3Gga6a3XWWnqqZxZDZpzAdWE
3. Boot into Official Huawei Android 4.2 firmware and check for update OTA. If you have one - install it. If you don't - you can flash B510 or B512/513/etc...
Enjoy International firmware line again! This method can also be used just to downgrade form Android 4.4 to Android 4.2!
Files are not flashable thru TWRP - please, use ONLY Stock Recovery!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please, hit THANKS, if this thread helped you!

Just try with the stock B510 recovery from the second post in the TWRP recovery theme! I think stock recovery is the same for all 4.4 ROMs and it doesn't matter which one. I recommend the one that I told you about! Should work! I was with Chinese B706 ROM and TWRP. To downgrade I've flashed the B510 stock recovery first and then - step by step as I wrote above.
thanks..will try to do that..

I have a question for you - I see that you modified the .prop file for the local channel, to get louder sound in headphones (from your signature). I've tried to do this today, but when I try to modify the file every time it says - cannot save changes, file cannot be modified, changes not saved! I have root and I've mounted / and /system as writable! I can edit build.pro without any problem and save the changes, but this file - I can't! How did you edited it and how can I edit it too?
Thank you!

did not work for me..
i made the following:
flashed stock recovery from b510
took a fresh 4gb sdcard with dload folder on it..inside this folder was the update.app from the unicom rom..
then turned off device..
then pressed power, vol + & - together and held it 'til the recovery screen with yellow writing appeared..
it started to flash..but on the point where the verlist check begins it tells me "fail"!!!..
so what to do now???
i know this procedure..did it with the b506 rom and it worked..but with the b635 rom it won't work..

Try to flash B706 Chinese EMUI 3.0 new Development edition ROM from the official Huawei web site. If you flash it over the B635 successfully, then you must be able to do this procedure to turn back into international line of ROMs and to B132 4.2 ROM. after that you can flash B510 again. Try this method! I'm pretty sure that it will be possible to flash B706 directly over B635, even than that in the official website it is recommended to update only from B508SP02 official chinese rom. I had success with updating directly to B706 from B512, but if you can't go from B635, try to flash B508SP02 first, than B706 and than downgrade! Should work! Good Luck!

No. No problems at all. I think just the upgrade took a little while that usual but it flashed like charm over the B512 without any problems! I think the flashing from B508 is just a recommendation, because the B508SP02 is the latest chinese ROM, and this B706 is Chinese developers edition...

That's right! Download the official B706 from Huawei EMUI website, unzip it, put the dload folder in you sdcard and then i recomend to make Local update first. If it doesn't want to update thru local update option in the Update Application, then try with forceful update - press and hold power + volume up + volume down and wait until phone boots into stock recovery mode! The update can only be done with stock recovery! If you're on TWRP, that you must go back to stock!
**** uc browser sucks
I kept to download b508 due to some problem I have to pause it only 36mb was remaining and when I resumed it showed a error was not able to resume the download so I re downloaded the b508 it got downloaded now

I tried to downgrade with this method but it fails when i flash Unicom 2.0 (i follow the instructions:download it..unzip then put UPDATE.app in dload folder of my sdcard). When i flash it,itfails(i have Stock Recovery, never installed TWRP).
Is this method valid also for B513+EMUI2.3?Or maybe i've done something wrong?

Try to flash it forceful with holding all buttons together, or try to copy not only the update.app, but the whole dload folder from the archive. If it's not working, just try to flash B510 or B512 on top of B513 - this should work. After that you can try to downgrade to 4.2 again with the same method!

Hello,
Im User of Huawei P6 B709_modby Oxalis_v08. I wanna back to JB or stay at KK but return to B520 ... But I dont know how do this.
I flashed B709 by TWRP... But how return to B520 ? Tried to by http://forum.xda-developers.com/asce...inese-t2951566 but I dont understand how do this...someone can write how install it step by step ??
Really? No one knows how do this?
I am in a similar situation like yours. Want to go to CM11 from Oxalis rom. I will attempt to install stock recovery of KK and then flash the original rom of 4.4.2 after that its back to the regular way of flashing
You can download the official upgrade to Kitkat B520 from Huawei: http://consumer.huawei.com/nl/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=38302&key4=huawei%20ascend%20p6
It's very slow though, I flashed it and it was so slow and bad that I immediately flashed Paranoid Android 4.6 beta. Which is great by the way.

Update: i finally made it to b132 by installing this https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=...86595ef5034a2070982e9a6876ad434117e6b1c417ae2 recovery and then following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p6/general/how-to-downgrade-4-4-4-2-change-chinese-t2951566
It seemed to me the stock recovery the twrp thread had was shot and failed to work with SD cards. But after using the other recovery i successfully moved back to b132.
My process 1) put unicorn into sd 2)flash recovery from the above link 3)local update to unicorn 4)reboot into oxalis 5)put b132 into sd 6)local update to b132 7)stuck in bootanimation 8)force update to b132(Vol + -) 8)boot into b132
After that you can update from software update to b520 or the local/sd way
