I just restored my own Note 4 to factory using this method. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1984717 I'm not sure how long this will work by so fare so good. I'm guessing when At&t get OTA this will not work any more.
Happy testing.

So what would be the benefit of using that method versus using the normal factory reset? Or what are you trying to accomplish? Just curious. ..[emoji2]

From the looks of it this will reflash your device should you do some experimentations that make it unbootable so long as you can get into download mode.

Like post above mine. You can test your device and even if you do something to it and only you can boot to download mode you can restore to factory settings this way.

Does it reset all of the flags?
An odin flash can't reset a counter, but Knox won't trip if it's official firmware.. It's only an issue when you get into root/kernel/recovery

I don't think it is if you trip any. I use it triangle away on other devices, but you can't here since we have no root yet.

You need to odin back to stock.. download the .tar in development section and follow directions. Its easy. You will need this if you ever want to go back to stock or un root for warranty etc

Entirely up to you, honestly it isn't that hard to make a backup of all your apps with 'Helium' and restore onto the stock rom, etc. It's the challenge everyone faces when flashing ROMs. I would wait until there's an update and see what changes it brings before reverting. But you will want to download the stock .tar for instances you need to go back to stock.
Is there a way to root the device again and still maintain having all blotware removed? Or will it add back all carrier and third party apps?

If you did a nand backup, it will install the bloat again and also with the .tar file unless stated bloat has been removed.

All official updates are complete with bloat, the only way is to install the update and remove the bloat afterwards or wait for someone to release a debloated rooted build.

Just wait. When an official update is released a debloated version usually appears on the forums that is prerooted and ready for CWM/TWRP.
I'm also getting the same message. Is it because super user is installed or because of my custom recovery? Or both? If I remove super user will it work? Or would I also need to flash the stock recovery?

It's because we rooted, but uninstalling it won't reset it because of the ticker, anything installed after the factory condition will show it as custom.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda premium
There is no official stock (yet) so your stuck like that
But if your rooted in the first place why does it matter you can install any firmware/software updates yourself
Official stock is out. Check the general forum.

Will this revert everything back to stock? I mean will root be lost, and Knox reset? I've been reading some posts that just rooting the phone makes you lose the ability to get OTA updates. I actually can confirm as all I did was root, and now checking for updates says my device has been modified, and I can't get them.

Hey thanks for the file saved my ass after a botched recovery install. I hope someone can post this file up on another website because last night i tried to download using the slow (NONE PAY) method at http://www.filefactory.com/file/5u0ud54hxu3l/N900TUVUBMI7_N900TTMBBMI7_TMB.zip
and waited four hrs (at 3am) for the download to fail with a server error after 4.5 hrs. So i felt better to pay the website for their unlimited speed downloads. Well that was a crock of S*** because i still had to wait for over an hour to complete the download. I hope someone will post this somewhere where it can be easier to get so you don't suffer my grief.
I do want to thank deeznutz1977 for the file because without it I would still be stuck in a bootlopp at startup after installing twrp recovery that apparently has some real issues. Thanks for saving my bacon deeznutz1977.

If you were just stock rooted then not much will change. If your boot loader WAS unlocked, it won't be now. You'll have factory recovery. Then you'll need to do a factory reset to clear everything.

That may be the only option.
He must have used the wrong root script, like AT&T or Sprint root.

You need either 4.3 or 4.4.2, MDL is 4.2.2, it'll never flash, so flash 4.3 or 4.4.2, you can only flash 4.3 if you had that firmware before you attempted to root, if you had the latest update you need 4.4.2!!

That's what happens when you flash a 4.2.2 ROM which you can still do.. that SEANDROID message doesn't prevent anything so there is nothing to bypass..
