I'm new to eclipse.
I want to create a very simple app that when the user clicks on the app icon takes him to a custom url. No extra buttons in the app. That's it.
Can someone help me out?
Thanks.

I'm looking for an app which works the same way as "UCCW" but with memory stats feed and the feature to add a desired image as background. Memory feed as in how much space I got left on my phone and SD card (wouldnt mind RAM feed as well). I'm also looking for a way to create a widget which I'm able to change the image in every percentage.
I know that "make your own clock pro" have the memory feature but youre unable to add your own image.
Does this ring any bells? Thanks in advance!

I saw a widget like that on the Post your homescreen thread or I think the What does your MIUI look like thread in the Android Themes Section. But its a long time now. Maybe you can ask it there as most of them is friendly.

or you can just mod the wallpaper to include the images, then use something like UCCW or minimalistic text to add the dynamic stats

Well, that would make the wallpaper scrolling look a bit weird xD
The one that you were able to set a to-do list and set alarms for each item. I've tried a few apps in the same vein, but nothing comes close to the functionality and simplicity of that app. It did exactly everything I needed.

You don't have to capitalize every letter of every word. That seems very illiterate.
Also, thanks for the share.
Holo Launcher can do it easily.

Thank you for this app, exactly what I needed to hide apps without using a particular launcher.
I have 7100 with 4.1.1 (not rooted) and have been playing with the sidebar after searching threads about it.
I'd like to add different apps to the sidebar and I know that this isn't available yet without rooting, BUT I found that one downloaded app - Total Commander file manager - appears on the sidebar edit screen and I can add it to the sidebar.
What is special about this app that it breaks the rule?
Will the no-edit rule change with 4.1.2 ?
The apps that I open from the sidebar don't allow windowing - will this change with 4.1.2 ?
Maybe I will root it but I'm not yet confident enough to try...
I think only a few apps have the feature to use multi widow, and rooting is really easy, one package to flash via odin in download mode

i don't think there will be a way to add any app to the sidebar without rooting. third party apps like Total Commander or gReader add Multiwindow support by themselves, so if you want an app to support multiwindow ask to the developers to add that feature.. or you can root your phone
Thanks for the replies guys.
The programs on the sidebar don't actually multiwindow - it's just another way of opening them. Will that change with 4.1.2?
Expect I will root it eventually, just not ready yet..

Gotcha! I was clicking on the icon instead of dragging it.
Really will have to root it now.
Thanks!

Absolutely... when editing your uccw widget tap the menu to enable hot spots. Do a search for uccw and you'll find some really cool pre made stuff with a ton of instructions. I'll find my favorite thread for you....

Hi. This appears to be an answer to something I have been trying to figure out. I've read the thread you posted, and have played pretty extensively with the Tasker app. I think I have done a lot of reading trying to solve this, but maybe am just not searching accurately. Could you point me somewhere that will explain how to set up a home screen folder?
My problem is an aesthetic one. I want my UCCW icons to look like icons for specific apps. For example, I have Keep on my home screen as an app, and a folder with FaceBook and BaconReader in it. I would love to have these use UCCW to define the folder, if possible.
I have Simi Folder, and I can sort of do what I want with it, but that app is not an ideal solution due to its lack of support.
Thanks.
