[Q]New OTA update - Sprint LG G2

I am using the LS980 on GSM every thing was fine i got an OTA (190MB) when i rebooted to install ,twrp was there and every time i reboot it boots to recovery how to boot back to system?

never accept an ota update with a custom recovery, thats just asking for trouble. What your going to need to do is reflash the rom you had on there. (may have to sideload it if its not on your internal memory in the phone), otherwise you will have to tot back and sim unlock your phone again

I tried to factory format my phone through TWRP, then when I tried to restart again, it never comes back.
I still have access to TWRP, but when I install zip files I downloaded, it always failed. I tried to use Odin, it failed to flash an image in.
Plz help me.
Many thanks.

What format option did you select in TWRP and hope you didn't accidently remove your OS? The device could fail to boot if you don't have an OS installed. You may be able to flash a complete stock restore image via TWRP. Would you recall what Android version you were on before the brick? Also what is your phone model and carrier?

Mine was ATT S3 I747 with Android 4.3 system. I did wipe my OS during recovery. That caused the whole problem. Then I use TWRP to flash a system and a kernel in. I was unable to flash bootloader and modem in; I did not know what is the problem. The weird thing is that I successfully start my phone and used it for a while. When I rebooted it, it dies again. I tried to install the some boot update in this January. It never works again. Any advise?

You can try flashing a complete stock system to get your phone back to working condition. Since you already had 4.3, flashing zips often fails if there is a bootloader incompatibility. The stock restore should do it. Please go to the following thread ....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658486
Download the stock restore zip to your PC. Use another device or something to load it to a (micro) SD card. Insert the card into your phone. Boot into recovery mode and flash from TWRP. When done, wipe your cache/dalvik and reboot to system. Let's know if this works for you.

[Q] Loop on recovery boot after update what can i do?

After installing a system update phone stayed on recovey boot. can't boot on normal. Tried wipe and restore did not help. Then make a factory reset. Now says "Your device does not appear to be rooted. Install Super SU now? This will root your device." Still looped on recovery screen... What can I do?
never take an ota with custom recovery. But since is sounds like you did that..what you will be easiest to do (if you can get into download mode), is tot the phone back to stock.

You should never install an update through the phone's update setting while using a custom recovery. The updates are designed to work with the stock recovery only.
If you can still boot into and use TWRP, use it to flash the full ROM of OOS 4.0.3.
If you can't boot into TWRP, try to see if fastboot works and manually sideload a working ROM in.
Otherwise, you're going to have to use the unbrick guide. Your phone doesn't have to be completely bricked to use it. It simply reverts the phone to a truly factory-fresh state (relocks bootloader, wipes everything, etc. - At least method 2 does anyways).
I got stuck in the same situation some time ago, and in order to solve it I had to flash the stock recovery, let it restart, it tried to update (and failed) and then it booted to system again. Hopefully that way you can avoid installing everything again. Once the device boots you can try to update with the stock recovery and revert to twrp if you want.

Pixel C OTA using Flashfire - stuck on "waiting for fastboot command"

I have a Pixel C, rooted using the Nexus Rootkit, TWRP and SuperSU.
All was fine and was on build N2G48C.
I had an OTA notification for Oreo, so I downloaded the OPR6.170623.010 Oreo OTA file, and used FlashFire to apply this.
Now everytime it reboots it goes past the Google logo, then to the "waiting for fastboot command" screen. I've tried rebooting to Recovery and I get the same thing!
Google didn't seem to help, so please can anyone else help?
I was manually flashing rather then using flashfire, but I was getting the same problem. First, flash just the stock room (no root or TWRP) and check that it boots. Mine would, but every time I tried to flash TWRP, it would bootloop to fastboot.
You may want to download the full rom, not just the ota. You can modify the flash batch file to not wipe the tablet, or just flash the components.
What was finally successful for me was to flash TWRP and NOT let it finalize. It should ask if you want to mount R/W so it can keep the rom from overwriting the recovery. I told it no, then flashed the Magisk zip for root. I haven't tested SuperSU, but just replace it here to try. This got me a proper boot to Oreo, with Magisk working correctly.
If I understand it right, and I haven't booted to recovery to check, the rom will likely have overwritten TWRP. Worst case, I have to reflash recovery whenever I want to do a backup or update my rom, but that isn't something I do often on this tablet.

[HELP] can't OTA update my phone anymore !..

hey guys, so i have a 64GBs Oneplus 5T and i rooted my phone 1 year ago with magisk using fastboot And TWRP. i used to get OTA updates and i was able to update my phone always. when i recieve an update i would remove TWRP , flash back the stock recovery and remove the root, update my phone then get them back. and this method worked many times.
right now i cant do this anymore. when i download the OTA update and it finishes the reboot the upgrade button doesnt work anymore. tried aswell to update it manually using local update the local update button doesnt work. tried putting the zip file to the internal storage and flasing it with the stock recovery from internal storage , it doesnt work aswell it doesnt even browse my phone .. tried flashing the ota zip files with TWRP it gives me "updater process ended with error 7"
right now phone works perfectelly fine, i have access to stock recovery and TWRP aswell. BUT iam unable to update my phone anymore.. any advices?

hi, without knowing your device-status, i recommend updating TWRP & dont forget 'disabling' MAGISK inkl modules before flashing (possibility of bootloop)!!
OREO - twrp-3.2.2-x_blu_spark_v8.83_treble-op5_op5t - flashing PIE with this TWRP will end up in an "compatibility error" [you have to remove compatibility.zip inside the OTA]
PIE - twrp-3.2.3-x_blu_spark_v9.91_treble-op5_op5t
my steps are: download OTA > go to MagiskManager -- 'restore images' > reboot into TWRP -- flash OTA.zip (wipe C/D)+Magisk18.1+[Kernerl] > reboot -- updated and MagiskModules are enabled
