I searched the forums about the issue but found none so here...
I recently installed CM11 (cm-11-20141119-NIGHTLY-nicki) on my Xperia M and everything went well and as expected until the point when I booted it up and it gave me an error about referring to the operator's user guide about my SIM card! After that, I checked to find out there was no network! Googled a little bit and then checked again to find that my phone had lost its IMEI!
I had a nandroid backup that I took of its, just before flashing so I used that and everything reverted back to normal! The connection, IMEI, everything. But when I flashed CM11 again, it was the same issue all over again!
I upgraded from 4.1.2.
Hope I'll get some solutions quickly.
Thank you.

I rooted and flashed my phone and everything worked great but my data package stopped working Completly. I restored the phone back to stock ROM using Odin but still no data (wifi still works). I checked my IMEI number and it appears fine.
The instructions i followed to root the phone was the one where you do not tripp the flash counter, and I backed up IMEI using the NV reader, and the ROM i installed was the Sonic Rom. The only thing I think I could have done wrong is when I went to use the NV reader I accidentally started backing up the entire array of numbers and I canceled the operation midway through. I then just backed up just the IMEI and installed the ROM.
Is it possible I corrupted something when I hit cancel? And please does anyone know how I can get my data working? I was on the phone with tmobile for over an hour today and they were zero help.
thanks.

Exact same thing happened to me..I used PeopleArmy's method and tried re-injecting the correct IMEI back into the phone for a couple hours, then suddenly, my data started working again out of nowhere. Really weird, but it fixed my issue..good luck to you!

Thanks for the reply. did you use PeopleArmy method to recover a lost IMEI number? My issue is a little different. I still have IMEI numbers but I have no data signal working on the phone at all.
I did not get many many replies, maybe my original post was hard to understand...
My H+ and 3G indicator lights blink as if they are working but my phone is completly unable to use any data services. WiFi works, Cellular Voice works but no data.
When I first got the phone everything worked great but after I rooted and flashed it started showing a screen on my browser indicating that my data plan was not compatible with my handset. Tmobile could not help, since I have the correct data plan, my previous phone is the awesome HD2. Please let me know what I can do to fix the phone.

Hey everyone i recently install a rom posted by a user at the following threat http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033132 both mine and my gf's s3's, my install went flawlessly but hers had an issue. the signal was very weak, at first we thought it was a reception problem cause some text and calls were going through (and when i say some i mean almost none). then i went poking around and saw the imei was showing 0, the phone had been rooted with cwm installed on it, so i used so of the tools and the tutorials i found on these forums to restore the imei but still very weak and losing signal, on reboot of the phone there is no signal at all, so i kept on reading in the forums and tried to flash a modem but nothing still, then installed cm10 stable and still nothing finaly i gave up and installed stock rom unrooted the device, used triangle away and all that and still nothing even installed the latest ota updates and still nothing, im at the end of my rope lol and my gf is about ready to kill me, any help would be greatly appreciated . im with bell model number is i747m, the base band that it currently has is i747mvldlk4

I have the same problem, I am looking how to fixing it. If you find a way, please PM me.
hi guys, i flashed the lte modem on my phone and it seems that its wiped out my efs folders, ive been trying to restore my efs folder with nvtools and qpst, neither seems to work since somehow dm mode is not responding to them
any solns? ty in advance for any help
a couple of things:
ive already odin'd back to stock, no luck on restoring efs(perhaps im doing something wrong?) i dialed *#7284# and put it into the RNDIS+DM+MODEM mode, nvtools says phone failed to answer while QPST says that comm7(the samsung serial port) is not a phone
its pretty had to do this since the phone is rebooting itself every other minute
Questions and help issues go in Q&A
Thread moved
Thanks
FNM
Been there, sucks. For me to get out of the constant restarts I had to flash the lte modem again. Flash stock (odin) flashed cwm (odin), put the modem on my external sd card and flashed that.At least that way I could work on it a little. And below is basically what I did to finally get it to work. Hard to say all my steps as I was trying everything.
Well I dont really know how I got mine back to life, tried all the standard stuff from the threads, got my imei back but had no network, network type, service nothing helped. last resort I said whatever ill try anything now. Came across this
http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-n...3g4g-aws-bands-on-att-galaxy-note-2-sgh-i317/
whatever it did it restored everything (cold see carrier, network, etc)but corrupted imei, next i followed this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117
If you need this is a complete no imei nv backup I used before flashing my imei with the generator
http://db.tt/4hunZ7qy
used the imei generator, then the writer (link on post does not work for the imei generator,so found it here
http://d-h.st/vVV
Wrote my imei back and presto, back in action. Fully functional again, including 4G
Like I said this was a last resort, but worked

Let me guess. You've git a Canadian phone
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
+1
got it fixed on friday, was so tired that i went to sleep
basically i followed someone's post on the forum(forgot name) and flashed the tmo modem, since the mct one always gave me the bootloop, then i enabled DM mode and finally got nv tools/qpst to recognize my phone, it appears that the issue was that the drivers does not recognize the new modems..
anyway, once i was done restoring nv, i flashed the tmo lte modem and paranoid android
now i have my imei back and i can use lte
although my bluetooth address still says unknown..not sure if normal
My bluetooth also says unavailable, I would think if you are not hooked up to bluetooth then it should say unavailable. Im to scared to flash the tmo lte modem again...
Hi there,
I've got an HTC One M8, on the T-Mobile Network. I recently unlocked and rooted my phone. I downloaded the Paranoid Android beta ROM and installed it along with gapps. All went smoothly and booted up fine. However, I noticed my phone wasn't connecting to LTE. All I could do was make phone calls. I tried flashing the ROM again, same issue. I then tried the Cyanogenmod ROM and also had the same issue, so I finally restored my phone's nandroid backup so I'm all good again.
But I'm curious what the issue might be. I also tried taking out and putting back in my SIM card etc. Is there something I'm missing that I need to do?

OKay, I was able to resolve this issue on my own. I changed my APN setting to utilize IPv6 and it's been running just fine. Go figure.
Ok so i got this new Tab S 8.4 LTE from an online chinese retailer, after using it for some hours i decided to flash lollipop rom to it. Then i inserted a sim card but i keep getting "Emergency calls only" if i manually search and connect to a network,it will show "Not registered to network",i have tried flashing back kitkat/lollipop/kitkat all over again but nothing fix it.
After some digging i realised the problem is pretty much common and it has to do with a deleted/corrupted efs folder,so i have tried several solutions like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1813559 this http://www.technobezz.com/fix-samsung-galaxy-unknown-baseband-version/ and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-recover-imei-9-steps-t1264021 i cant seem to get it right. You guys are my last hope. The Tab is barely 3 days old. I am thinking of returning it back to the seller if all methods fail.
My friend has an exact type of tablet, can i backup his efs and restore to mine? If i restore his Nandroid will that fix my problem?
Have you tried flashing a stock rom via Odin? Sometimes that does that the trick.
