I have a LG Optimus 7 WP7 phone (unbranded);
I am in Finland;
My operator is Saunlahti (if anyone cares);
And the roaming icon is always on, which is really annoying. Is there any way to make it work properly? Is there a way to say to the phone that this Saunalahti network is my home network?
(I do not want to hide the icon completely, I just want to know if it is possible to make it work properly)
As a side-note - my HTC Hero and Nokia 5800 detect this as my home network correctly with the same SIM.
As a second side-note - could the fact that my LiveID region is set to UK somehow be involved in this?
Hi
I have just rooted my Xperia Play, everything is working fine, but in the notification menu the phone shows "(No Service)" despite the phone working and all calls are perfect.
Anyone know why it's showing no service ?
EDIT : It's showing my carrier now after I toggled 2g/3g in the Network Settings.
All,
I, like others have had a living nightmare with repeated 'Unfortunately LG IMS has stopped working' which keeps popping up every few seconds. I noticed it happened after wifi lost connection, and the network switched to mobile data. Most annoying as I was having to press it up to 20 times when in car as I was driving along!!! I was so desperate I even asked LG for help, and at one point considered reading the manual
I tried everything - even factory reset and nothing worked.
Mine is a LG 818N dual sim model imported into UK, (running on Sim1 - three and Sim2 o2) so not sure if this is factor.
I think I have found a solution at last.
Go into the hidden menu - on phone dialler, dial 277634#*#
When in the menu, select Field test > Modem settings > VoLTE on/off > Subscriber and untick IMS to disable it. I restarted the phone, and the annoying messages were gone.
I believe IMS can be turned off without any major loss of functionality - if anyone knows the effect, please post here for others. So far I can't see any difference other than I can use my phone again
HEY, I was searching for an answer these days too, and just 10 mins ago I flashed back to ver.10b hoping that it will help...... anyway thanks for your tip there.

VoLTE is an improvement over GSM and WCDMA voice service and is the 'wave of the future'. As such LG and the associated operators who use LTE and VoWLAN, voice over the WiFi, Wireless Access Network should be fixing this sooner rather than latter.
This is mostly LG's problem but the buck has to stop with your service provider because that is who you pay for delivering service that is not crapola. The network service operator must arrange their network to use VoLTE and switch from voice over WiFi to VoLTE. Both of these are IP based, using the same basic set of protocols as a common web browser. The advantage of that is voice can be embeded into and between applications including integration into social networking, picture posting and exchange, video conferencing apps, etc. VoLTE is much more agile and should be made much more seamless, ie. without drops, and poor quality. VoLTE is able to pack more calls on the network at higher fidelity than all other voice. '3D'+ multiplexed voice and software voice cancellation, for example, can be done, potentially using multiple devices watching an event, for example. This can be be the direction of evolution or it can stick with the old glitchy voice networks of the past.
LG IMS has to do with the WiFi-Calling feature.
There's a safer way to fix this problem. In the hidden menu, rather than disabling VoLTE, scroll down a bit (in the same menu "VoLTE on/off") to "IP Version." Change this setting from "IPV6V4" to "IPV4V6." If the problem persists, change it to "IPV4," and the problem should vanish.
A LOT of networks don't support IPv6 yet.
airplane mode
the "Unfortunately LG IMS has stopped working" sometimes keeps popping up before you can set up the hidden menu options.
by setting your phone to [ airplane mode ] -- this will help you get through the hidden menu settings.
In india it must be ON for VoLTE services . and i never dealt with the this kind of ims stopped problem
Hey Guys,
I've just rooted (only rooted, haven't flashed anything yet) my Galaxy Note 3 sm-N900T from TMobile (running android 5.0). I bought my unlock code online and unlocked it and put in my Cricket Wireless sim. It works, calls, messages etc. however, I have this little red phone icon to the left of the status bar that says "WiFi Calling Error. ER05 invalid sim". Also on WiFi I can browse, like the Playstore, for instance. But when I turn off the WiFi and try to use my data plan I get no Playstore, no browsing at all. I get messages like 'not connected to the internet' or 'no internet connection'. Has anyone dealt with this before? Or can someone please point me in the right direction to try and resolve these issues?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking into buying a 5G phone that I can use as a secondary phone to map on Cellmapper and run speedtests. The Mi 10T ticks all boxes, the only issue I see is that there doesn't seem to be a way to display the network technology of both SIMs at the same time (for example 5G/4G).
With my current Huawei, through SetEdit, there is an option which allows me to display the network type for both networks in the status bar, even when I'm connected to WiFi. Is there something similar in MIUI?
