I have a LG Optimus 7 WP7 phone (unbranded);
I am in Finland;
My operator is Saunlahti (if anyone cares);
And the roaming icon is always on, which is really annoying. Is there any way to make it work properly? Is there a way to say to the phone that this Saunalahti network is my home network?
(I do not want to hide the icon completely, I just want to know if it is possible to make it work properly)
As a side-note - my HTC Hero and Nokia 5800 detect this as my home network correctly with the same SIM.
As a second side-note - could the fact that my LiveID region is set to UK somehow be involved in this?

I have an unlocked HD2 with an o2 sim. When I try to change GPRS connection settings I cannot select any network other than the original T-Mobile. The auto option is disabled. I'm not fussed about the T-Mobile splash screen but I do need to be able to connect to the o2 network (GRPS). Phone / text is fine. Any suggestions? I would like to avoid flashing the rom if poss. I have a HD2 locked to T-Mobile, all of the internet settings are obviously pre-configured for that network.
I'm not sure how to change them but I'm pretty certain you can get O2 to send you the GPRS the settings directly to the handset as long as they have the device or they may not support it.

Unfortunately that isn't possible (HTC & o2 advised). Also there is no option on the connectivity wizard to update the list of telephone providers (that surprised HTC!). Presumably there is a regkey missing / overidden. Any ideas out there?

i got the same problem. theres no alternative to write a new rom to your hd2.
after that i could easily download the o2 settings...

Dont get me wrong, Verizon Coverage is unbeatable, but I plan to live in Tijuana Mexico so that I can save some money on rent. The problem is that my phone (and every other phone I had) tries so hard to find verizon signal with no success as obviously there is no vzw towers in Mexico (only partner towers). On the phone menu there is only home only, automatic A, and automatic B. I need a hack so that I can have a "roaming networks only" so that I can freely use my phone without it switching automatically to a 1x one bar or zero bars. How can I do this?? I'm currently running XenonHD (December 22, 2012 update) on a Galaxy Nexus. My problem is that as soon as my phone loses signal with Wind Home (n.b. my provider is Wind Mobile) and reconnects back to it when I get within range it displays the numbers 302490 instead of Wind Home. Now, although I know that to be Wind Home and everything works it's annoying to have to restart the device to get it to display Wind Home again (Note, toggling airplane mode on/off doesn't work). I can't simply set the phone to WCDMA only because I need to be able to receive SMS while roaming on Rogers (since receive SMS are free) and I also don't want to use the custom carrier label function that comes with the rom because I'm pretty sure it doesn't discriminate whether I'm roaming or not which defeats the purpose of having the phone telling me whether I'm on the network or roaming since I only want to receive SMS while roaming. Furthermore, when I try to manually select the network in the mobile networks options it also shows digits for wind and several providers (e.g. Rogers) in digits as well. Was wondering if anybody knows of a fix for this problem since I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.

So I did a little research and to toggle 3g on your suppose to go to the dial pad, type in the numbers and it will take you to toggle ens. The problem is I don't have that option. I'm trying to put 3g instead of 4g because there's a go phone Sim card in my phone currently and you can't use 4g with a go phone Sim. Can anyone help?

at&t removed the option. You have to use nokia care suite and downgrade to a much earlier OS, then do the trick. The setting should stick when you use Zune/Windows Phone Mac connector to upgrade back to 7.8

did u make sure your APN is set properly ?
GOTO settings(tab view) ~ Networks ~ More ~ Mobile networks ~ Sim card 1 ~ Access point names~ and make sure its there configured properly and selected as default data APN
your screenshot shows you enabled the data but doesn't show a data logo at the bar weather it was 2-3-4g or lte
i found out as well that if your provider doesn't allow 4g-LTE on certain data packages then it wont connect to it unless its 2-3g
try the APN first , if its not that then do get in touch with your provider and make sure ur phone number/data plan is eligible for 4g-lte service
my APN configured well and my sim was subscribed to 4g data, actually the 1st lg g4 i bought the 4g icon appear because i had a problem on camera on that phone i returned it and they give me this phone but the problem now is the 4g icon.
