Hi guys,
I'm a new user and I can't post in the pa thread. I am having constant WiFi drops on paranoid android 4.6 beta 2. The WiFi will work for 5mins and then net connectivity drops. Disabling and enabling WiFi fixes it for another 5-10 minutes before it drops again.
Anyone else faced this issue?
Are there any solutions or is this a known bug? Otherwise this ROM is perfect for daily use and I love it.
Please help!
Thanks.

Okay. I admit like to keep my process list fresh and my phone "clean". So every night I reboot it.
Everything works fine except my WiFi MAC address changes every time. I'm new to the site as a member (I've been lurking for some time). So, I'm stuck w/o 10 posts and need to post here instead of [FIX] 07-01-12 - Fixes for WiFi, BT, GPS, & MMS on Verizon Jellybean 4.1 ROMs
Is anyone else experiencing this? Has anyone have a possible solution?
Thanks!

I am a Big supporter of the CM Team and how they were able to give New Life to my old Epic 4G. Great job!
The problem I am having started when I moved from using CM9 to CM10 After doing a Factory Reset "clean" install... I primary use my Epic 4G as a Wifi Hotspot for my Xoom WIFI tablet which is using Team EOS3 Nightly ROMs. Now I never had ANY WiFi (speed) related problems using the CM9 version as long as I had a good signal. When I upgraded to CM10 I was able to enable the WiFi HotSpot but web browsing was extremely slow and had timeout issues to the point where it is completely frustrating and unusable. The issues due not seem to be depended on the phone's signal strength and I have not been able to resolve the problem. Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
Thank you in advance,
I have something similar. It seem to have began after the 11/19 nightly for me. The range of my connection seem to have decreased. Or if it is connected with -70 and below on Wifi Analyzer, it may get not data or very slow speeds, and timeout issues.
I have not seen any kernel changes from bbelos, so maybe it is something else in the CM nightly changes?
I am currently on 11/29 nightly, stock kernel.

I am on the nightly from 12/3, and I can't get the wifi tether to work regardless of what I try (have set it up with open, WPA2, used Auto and Device specific for Epic 4G) - nothing seems to get it to work.
Is there another modem or anything else I should try? I tried to post on the CM10 forum, but as I'm new, I'm not allowed to.

Don't use an app, there is an option in settings>more>Tethering & portable hotspot
I can't even get it to work with the built in option. It acts like there is no internet.
Hi everyone. I currently have the note 2 att dn3 v4 beta rom installed. My signal is constantly jumping from 4g to h+ on a daily basis every 30 min or so. The internet seems to also glitch a lot. I always have to exit and reopen the browser in order to finish loading the page. Anyone have any solutions or possibly experiencing the same problem as me?
I swear I saw someone post about a similar issue to this only a few days before it started happening to me! I was just installing AOSiP, and after getting it all set up I noticed the exact same issue, but I can't find the post anymore!
Basically, when I leave the range of a WiFi network, instead of disconnecting the indicator jumps back up to 2 bars, and thinks it's still connected, even though I have no internet connectivity. It never disconnects unless I toggle WiFi off, and if I don't toggle wifi off before this happens, it won't reconnect to any network until I reboot the phone.
Very frustrating as this ROM was otherwise perfect for me. Does anyone know of a solution? Could it maybe be fixed by reinstalling the same ROM? I was going to try resurrection remix next I guess, but I had heard very good things about the battery life on AOSiP.
I am also facing the similar issue. When I was out of range of WiFi it is never getting disconnected...

I can't find any info about this other than the post I saw just before it started happening, so frustrating.
Can you provide some info on what you're running?
-What ROM? (and what base in case it's not obvious)
-Firmware version? (Did you update just the modem from jamal's thread, or is it all the same version?)
-What kernel? (and the base if possible)
-What kind of Gapps did you install?
-What kind of root?
I m on stock oneplus rom
I posted that and I would still be on my home wifi when I was at work!!! All is fixed in the beta 13.
I am also on beta 13...
i only know this issue to happen when you run a kernel that doesnt fit your ROM
My Robin was working just fine until a little over a week ago when these random but frequent wifi disconnects started happening. It seems to be a common issue with the phone. I'm not seeing any threads on here regarding the issue, however, so I'm wondering if a custom ROM will fix it. I've no experience with this sort of thing, so forgive me if it's a silly question.
I've never been on stock before, so I can't report on that. But as far as I can tell AOSPA is the only ROM I've had minor WIFI issues with. So assuming the stock rom has WIFI disconnection issues, yes a custom rom should fix it.

Im using HEBF Optimizer apk It seems to be helping me a little
Running my vpn apk helps too...
Thank you for the replies. I suppose I'll just have to try it and see.
