Hi everyone, I have an HTC M8 with cid HTC_622 (Asia-HK-CHT). It doesn't seem branded and works with any SIM card.
Is it a CDMA or GSM variant? Is there a way I can check?
I haven't found a clear answer so far and some guides here only work for GSM variants and vice versa... Any help would be appreciated.
It sounds GSM what country are you from
GSM with the 2.5GHz processor. Works fine with the 401 firmware.

Thanks for the quick reply. I bought it in Lebanon.
Is there an app or command I can run to make sure?

Hello all,
I am aware that multiple model numbers exist with the desire. This includes the a8181, a8182 and a8183 (so I believe). I know there are different radio supports between these also, so that one model supports 850Mhz and one 900Mhz.
But I have S-Offed, reHbooted and am using the ICS rom,
My question is, how exactly can I tell which A series I am using?
Has anyone actually used 3G900 yet? Im meant to have it at work but im stuck on GPRS:1.

Hi,
As the title says, I converted my T-Mobile M8 to GPE (stock). Is the phone now unlocked to work with SIMs in Asia?
Anything carrier that was "locking" it down should be gone, right?
Thanks in advance!

Are m8x and m8n same except for frequency?
Then Do M8x and M8n have same ROMs?
The way of rooting is same?

The M8n is the Euro version? Googling for M8n seems to indicate that it corresponds to Model ID of 0P6B100, which is Euro version.
M8x is Taiwan version; that much I know for certain. M8x is same in hardwar as the Euro version; and in turn same as most other "GSM" versions of the M8 (excluding dual SIM, and Verizon/Sprint). However the processor on the M8x is clocked higher.
Bootloader unlock and root methods, as well as custom ROMs are the same for the M8x versus the Euro "international" versions. However, one difference I have seen, is that it was confirmed that "international" baseband radios (which are interchangeable) cannot be flashed to the M8x (even with s-off).

Unlocked US is fully compatible with T-Mobile US, not sure if the WWE is.

So I change the CID to BS_US001 correct? Do i need to change the other number too? forgot what it was called.
No. The mid is the same
If you convert to wwe that's what it is... You also lose some bands and tweaks meant for us networks

i plan on just changing it to unbranded US unlocked version and not the WWE that's why I was asking if any differences between each one. Just to confirm BS_US001 is for the US unlocked version correct? and I don't have to change the MID?

Yes, that's correct.
Hey guys! I´ve got my 10 S-off'ed with the following issue:
Phone model: m10h
Factory CID: HTC__060
Factory MID: 2PS620000
Booted into download mode setting cid to BS__001 and MID to 2PS650000 before running US Unlocked/ Developer RUU. I can only get 3.5G (also called as H+ or 4G). But I'm not able to get LTE. I'm from Argentina (South America), and my M9 from T-Mobile works great on LTE.
Now on the HTC 10 I'm actually on 1.96.617.20.
Any thoughts?
Thanks! :good:
Your model isn't fully compatible with US LTE bands. Be sure you've flashed US firmware if you expect any LTE bands.

I think that your model isn't fully compatible with US LTE bands. You won't ever get normal performance domestically here in the US. .
Also VZW radio isn't for 1.96.617.20, that isn't technically a VZW build even though it says VZW in the title. If you flash the RUU it includes the proper radio.

i have the same phone and I get LTE bands 4/12, but not band 2 on Tmobile. It's possible you are in an area where the LTE band isnt available on the phone.

Why not try out T-Mobile US RUU?
CID: T-MOB010 | MID: 2PS650000

It should work perfectly. I'm on TMO with US Unlocked HTC 10, I don't enjoy it with Unlocked Rom like I do when it has TMO ROM flashed. With Unlocked ROM it doesn't show HD Calls, and sometimes Voice over LTE disappears, show 4G while calling and goes back to LTE after the call and signal level is slightly lower in some areas. I prefer TMO ROM!!
