Hello! In the avaiable roms for the v500, which one you would recommend to be most stable and closest to stock android? Thanks!
I Think that Mahdi ROM is the best my friend... To be honest all the ROMS are good... But i'm using MAHDI ... Try them all to see what's best for you....
I switch between Mahdi and Slimrom. Performance wise I can't tell any difference, but each has slightly different features. Try them both and pick the one you like best.

it´s really a question that you can´t solve by yourself testing several roms?
i tested a lot of roms and the majority are stables and fast (always custom rom of course )) my current rom its wrote in my syg (it don´t means that the rest are worse....)simply ITS MY CURRENT ROM
I think that it hasn´t better answer.... the only thing that i can say is try several roms since @Seraphic pure android 2.3.3 to AOSP roms, themed roms.... and decide.
Yeah i went and used a few other rom's but to be fair i got the best out of Android Revolution, though i've also had RCMix rom's they are always good fun to use
I would recommend LeeDroid. It's stable, fast, and very well supported and updated by the developer. Highly customizable too
I'm using Revolution and love it. But it's really about testing out each ROM and seeing which one suits your needs. You'll be sure to find more and more ROMs you love. Then just pick the one you found the most usable and more to your style.
Obviously always make sure to check over new ROM updates to see if maybe another ROM offers something a bit more.

under my opinion, this is the best answer..
Try and play around flashing. Its also fun anyway. xD
Thank you guys. The only reason im reluctant on keep flashing roms is due to fear of bricking. I mean I spent £340 for the phone and I dont want it dead lol

i've recently sold my g2 to my brother and i want to flash the most stable rom, i dont need ics or crazy overclock, i just want a rom that doesnt reboot or turns off by itself.
So many to pick from.... I tend to go back to elite mod the most. Everyone will give you a different answer so your best picking a few to try out. As you'll see the next few posts here will be other roms

CM7 roms are very good without overclock.
I only miss the camera quality of sense , but for another features CM7 rom's are ok.
Cyanogen Stable 7.1 OR you can use one of the stock OTA roms. Those are quite good.
I was using miui and g-lite and those turn off like once a week.
I guess ill try the ones u guys recommend

v sense and g lite are good stock roms. Elite and ilwt are best cm based.
Sent from Planet Vegeta.
I'm currently using glite 2.0.1 and its my favorite rom so far. I also tried gslim1.6 good aswell, and if you want just stock get the 2.3.4 stock rooted rom. I have not had any issues with the phone restarting on glite 2.0.1.Here is a link for the G2 rom index thread, it lists all avaliable G2 roms.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1493365
Anyone share their input on what they feel the best most stable 4.2.2 ROM? I have not tried any and would just like some opinions first.. Thanks guys!

Tried this on my toro gnex... Works amazing! Has a billion options and you can enable a great pie menu instead of the standard navbar.

Its my daily driver right now and seems really stable.
Best way to find out which is the best one for you is to try some out and see. What is stable for one person is not for another.
I used both cm11 and carbon rom 4.4.2 but I couldn't tell which's the best?
can you guys tell me which is the best among these two?
I have used both of them. I prefer using CM11 than Carbon. Actually both are almost same, you can go with any.
Currently, I am using Stock rooted and customized just because I need dual sim functionality.
Hit Thanks if I helped you.
I don't try carbon really but i use cm11 and it's cool

I think it's down to your preferences... AOSP ROMs are all highly customizable anyway, so for example if you see a cool feature on Carbon chances are you can get it too on CM11 with a little bit of work...
Well .as carbon and cm are almost same as are also based..but carbon got some preset customizations AFAIK...it is getting halo feature in future (which is coolest of multitasking feature)..
Right now am using omni ROM..which is quite amazing...will change and try carbon later if it gets halo soon...was on cm11 all time...its amazing as it's base of all these Roms(mostly...)..so choice is urs...
developers are like gods
thanks

I'm trying to find as close to stock kitkat rom as I can that works well and is stable on the gnex. Suggestions?
You can try ShinyROM, it's the most stock ROM currently

I think AOKP KK Rom is stable and it's close to stock kitkat rom
Shiny.
Shiny is the most stock like. Liquid, Vanir and Omni I believe are the fastest, especially if you pair them with DirtyV kernel.

Any ROM is going to be fast when you pair it with the right kernel.
I personally love CM Remix. It is cm based. DSP manager works flawlessly on it and it has tons of features on it and its super stable. Of course whenever you go messing around with different kernels, there's always a chance you will mess up the stability of the ROM.
My personal opinion is to try each one out. I don't see any huge noticeable speed improvements between each ROM when flashing my kernel of choice.
Everyone has their own likes and dislikes of ROMs. So make a list of all the ROMs and try each one out for a few days each. Unless you're a flashaholic. We've all been there.
As far as which ROM is going to be more "stable", that's debatable. But a good indicator is how long has a ROM been around. How many builds or releases have there been? That's not to say that the ROMs that are new and fresh aren't as stable. But they do generally have less issues than the new ones.
