Tried this on my toro gnex... Works amazing! Has a billion options and you can enable a great pie menu instead of the standard navbar.

Its my daily driver right now and seems really stable.

Best way to find out which is the best one for you is to try some out and see. What is stable for one person is not for another.

I can't see past stock jelly bean after flashing countless ROMs

Please can someone try and change my mind because I'm only disappointed and let down every time I try one .

What exactly are you disappointed about? Try the latest official builds of cm10 or aokp. Not a nightly or a kang.. an official build.
Try Paranoid, it looks pretty wild!
SHHHH!!!! You're not allowed to say that!
I've done the same as you. The only change I've made to stock is run nova launcher to make it a bit more purdy and personalized.
Minco is pretty nice since it's really close to stock but faster, but in the end I'd rather just run stock for peace of mind (not that Minco was unstable).
Stock based roms perform the best in my opinion. Although Bamf Paradigm and Wasabi Miui run well for me, if I run them with trinity 1344 kernel.
IMO It seems like CM and AOKP stay in the nighties phase for way too long, and bugs and stability issues take too long to fix. This has been the case on most phones I have owned. They are great innovative roms though. I find it rare when a Rom with loads and loads of features runs as good as stock based roms do. I love having features, but performance, stability and battery life are above all features for me. I can just find mods myself anyways and add them as I need.
If stock is what works best for you, run stock, there's nothing wrong with that.
Why do you want people to change your mind?

The last ROM flashed was team baked black ROM it was OK but the force issues became very annoying .I was just asking am I doing something wrong when flashing ? I don't seem to get the same user experience from using jelly bean. There is only one feature I've used that isn't stock is fast reply which I think is brilliant and will definitely be in 4.2

Fast reply, I don't even know what that is but anyway, Android comes down to user preference, if you enjoy stock, then rock it dude, I've tried only a handful of roms here but stock gives the most solid performance 9 out of ten times. granted I'm running Slimbean now, but I like to flash every two weeks and this rom is pretty great aside from bootup time XD.

i just hit 260h with no reboots. custom built from src, JRO03R, maguro. rock stable so far. gcc 4.7.0.
just saying, stock can be rock stable, and still be fast and responsive, if you're willing to tweak it and spend time testing it.

I've tweaked till the cows come home but I think Google have totally cracked it to be honest and early reports about 4.2 seem to suggest they've went one more step in terms of speed and look .The quick reply feature is in cm10 when you receive a SMS you get a pop up window at anytime so you can instantly reply ,must be enabled tho .

i love love love stock Jelly Bean. That is what i run, so i suppose i also can not see past stock JB.
i wouldn't say i'm "disappointed" in any ROMS I've tried, just that i personally have found no need to move away from stock.

I decided to give the latest Paranoid Android a try. I am running it with the latest franco stable milestone 5. Its running pretty excellent with no bugs so far. This is an instance of a non stock ROM running pretty well. They did good on this 2.17 PA build.

I've tried EOS, CM10, PA, for at least a few days each, and yep, I'm back on stock + Nova. Just couldn't be bothered any more with messing around with the others.

What is the most stable version of AOKP?

Is there a version of AOKP that is comparable to the stability of CM10.0.0? I am looking for a very stable version.

All devices react differently to different ROMs. Nobody can answer this for you because they don't own you specific device. So your best bet would be to just try each one out and see which one works best for your device.
That's true what was said above. Not to mention how even using different apps can affect of your phone works. But overall, if the ROM your looking into has a lot of negative reviews I would stay away from it.

If you want a more direct answer, the 4.1.2 is quite stable. But yes, without trying them out, you'll never know :good:
The 4.1.2 Milestone build was pretty stable back when I used it, but then again performance varies. Good luck
If you have an AT&T Galaxy SIII definitely go with Task650 AOKP JB 4.2.1 he updates his ROM in a regular basis and he is one of the best developers in XDA

Slim bean vs liquid smooth

As the title says
I want to switch to one of these ROMs but I want a stable fast and smooth ROM
Which one would you guys recommend?
I know of the features that come with both ROMs I'm just basing your opinion on stablilty, smoothness and speed.
Thanks for your input

the best option is to flash both and test them out yourself
Liquidsmooth FTW!

Testing both for sure. However I've tried both and...
I would recommend the newest unofficial build by LiquidSmooth JB 4.2.2. It's pretty darn smooth and the fastest I've come across. Most all the kinks if any have been ironed out!
Fast. Daily Driver. Great Features. Superb battery life!
Here's the thread with the download links. Any questions as well would be already answered there! Have fun.

Big thanks to itsmikeramsay!!!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1665225
Hey, I'm trying Liquid Smooth atm. It's pretty smooth so far
Only irk I have about it though is that it's missing Sound > Vibrate preferences. Ie When it's on silent it's not totally silent as the buttons still provide feedback (vibrations) on touch. The stock rom behavior is to be completely silent except maybe alarms. It's nothing major but an annoyance that hopefully will be gone at some point lol.
I thought I posted a reply already but I guess not??

Most stable ROM for a month flasher?

Hey there I just got my girlfriend a galaxy S3 and would like to know what is the most stable ROM for daily driving? I'm using CleanROM for the note 2 and it's amazing. Was wondering if there is something as simple as CLEANROM?

Anything popular. There isnt a best rom.

Ya that really a loaded question and can get you a lot of fanboy answers. You best bet would be to show her some of the diffrent roms there are and the features they have. Then let her test drive it and see what she likes best. Thats what it alwasy boils down too. Not so much the best ROM but the best ROM for you as the user.
look around in the Android Development section if she's more into the stock S3 look and feel. some great options in there like i747z and CSROM

That's exactly what I did with my fiancee. I showed her mine and gave her a different and let her choose which she liked most.

Definitely a matter of personal choice. Whether you go with my Intergalactic ROM, enewman17's, upndwn4par, or even more that I have not mentioned, chances are that you will receive a good quality experience on this phone. We all work together to make it better as a matter of fact. Take a look at each thread, flash a ROM, make a nandroid backup of your settings if you like it, try another, come back if you preferred the last one. We are fortunate to have many talented devs here who dedicate themselves to making this phone the best it can be. Good luck and regards.
I can't say "most" since I haven't tried them all, but these have been my favorites - simple, very stable, great battery life, de-bloated, no BS, just work great:
ICS - KyanROM
JB - Ultimatum S3
i like cyanogen mod but I am currently on Liquid Smooth RC2 4.2.2 rom and so far so good

Best rom for nexus 7 2013?

Im using darkjelly right now, sofar so good, any advise on which is the most stable rom?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Stock is most stable... not sure what your definition of "best" is, but it will definitely change based on what features you want/like/need in a ROM. Try them all out and pick the one that works best for you is my advice.
As railed said, there is no 'best' rom, it depends on what features you want.
Personally I use CM and it's rock solid, but so is pretty much any rom, it's a Nexus device after all
I use CM Kangs with Faux kernel. No issues.
Thanks guys for your insight.

I've been using Slim Bean; no problems so far. I like the non-standard DPI setting (perfect for me) and it has quite a few more customization options than the stock ROM.
Thread Closed.
Here on XDA we prefer not to allow best ROM threads as there is never just one 'best ROM' and which is the best often depends on the user, what they want from their device etc.
This plus best rom threads often spark arguments between users as to which is best.
Thank you
