Has anyone ever received a traffic alert? I get them on my phone, phone vibrates, watch does nothing. Kind of disappointed they don't come across. I get every notification on my phone except those.
I get them multiple times per day.
I actually just dismissed one telling me it was 11 minutes to the gym... Way too early in the day to care about that.
I also get the notification of drive time to home in the late afternoon daily on the watch.

nope - this isn't what i'm referring to. you're talking the standard Google Now cards that tell you how long until your recent destination/home/work, etc. I'm talking when there's an incident or heavy traffic, you'll get an alert (not a card) that says, "accident", etc.
example:
{

In Europe you get these on Google Maps when you have Waze installed. It's marked on your map too "Reported via Waze"

Your pic isn't linking on my phone. I rarely get those kind of alerts you described, even on the phone.

don't have the waze app. still get the alerts. as far as I know, they're Google Now notifications.
I thought the two were linked but obviously they're not

google purchased waze - which is why the alerts show up.
I know but I thought Waze had to be installed to get them but Google Now shows them any way

Given the general unreliability and lack of timeliness of Google Now traffic reports (I would get them, but usually when it's too late and I'm already stuck in it), I added Commute (by MapQuest) which allows me to set certain automatic traffic updates for frequently driven routes at the most opportune times. It has Android Wear support.

At 7:15am before I leave for work and 5:45 before I leave I get the heads up on my commute.

I am thinking of buying zenfone 2... I just bought Mi Band and it working awesome with my mediatek device ... I want to know that will it work with Intel CPU? I really like Mi Band but if Intel is not compatible then it won't be of any use.. Anyone has any idea about it?
Hey, my Miband works just fine with my piece. Z00AD bought in Taiwan. No worries.

For me it works, but the app does not show data points in the statistic and neither kilometers nor calories are counted, only steps.
It worked flawlessly with my nexus 5. Hope the problems will be resolved by an update of miFit or Zenfone 2.
Mine shows distance and calories just fine. It also syncs with Google Fit.
Screen unlocking via Trusted Device doesn't work though. It's something related to Asus' framework.

Which version of the mi fit app are you using? Maybe there's my problem.

Newest one from the play store. The modified apk one in the xiaomi forums that does notifications is too old.
Very strange as I'm using the same version. Maybe I need to uninstall, clean cache and try again.

Didn't work the app doesn't save anything.
Mine works fine...low distances does not show fat burned...if I walk a half mile or more it will show fat burned....but it tracks sleep, steps, and calories every time. I have not tried screen unlock, as I simply don't want to.
Okay guys, thanks for your feedback. Just fixed the issue by setting up a new mi account.
Hello,
i have bought a miband it is working great, but i have a problem from beginning, official app crash on start. I have bootloader unlocked, root, xposed. Is this even be possible to always crash on start?
Edit: installed oldest app and upgrade it to latest via play store, all works fine now.
Hey everyone !
Basically, this tutorial is here to explain you how to SPEED UP ANIMATION. I find my phone way more efficient.
NO ROOT NEEDED.
1 - Enable DEVELOPER OPTIONS :
Go to Settings, About phone.
Tap many times on the second line (Build number) until the popup shows "You are now a developer".
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2 - Change settings :
Go to settings, developer options.
Scroll to the line called : Window animation scale.
Put Windows animation scale and Transition animation scale to 0,5x.
3 - You may need to RESTART your phone.
You should now notice that transitions are way more faster, you really get your phone more efficient switching app, navigating through menus,...
Feel free to leave a comment if you have any question or suggestion.
Yes, decreasing animation scales is always a good idea to get your phone snappy.
But I keep it at 1x, as I tend to enjoy the animation sometimes.

I also like animations that's why I don't disable them but in my opinion it is worth the time you get putting them at 0,5x !

Yes, it becomes a lot snappy when we set it to 0.5x.
It actually seems like that it doesn't take any time loading anything, and just fetches everything from the RAM.

when you adjust "Animator duration scale", it will affect the camera timer.

Disabling them is better to me
i think is a common way for all android devices....just disabling animations
morover uninstalling bloatwares and disabling unwanted and unusefull system apps may also contribute in reduced lags
You got it right :good:

I'm using Nova prime launcher on RMN8PRO, and every morning I have to configure my widgets.
Does anybody have a solution?
Already tried removing launcher and respective widget apps from battery management, giving permissions, turning off special mi power management, etc...until now, none of these actions solved the problem.
small curious detail, I thought that it only happened during the night, when the device is sleeping for several hours, but a few days ago, around midnight, I was watching tv, and the device was only unused for not more than 45/60 minutes, when I grabbed it, the widgets were gone again, so I guess it's not a question of sleep time but also or rather a system action that occurs at some time frame.
Help? [emoji24]

Peharps you have to change the parameter to " no restriction" in the battery settings.

Already did that to launcher and apps with widgets I use...still the same problem

I'm with nova launcher too. Mine does that when a system backup is performed. Super annoying.
Additionally, I am using nova launcher gestures to lock my device via touch. Every time the widgets get reset, this also stops working. When I try to use it, it asks me what I want to do via the touch and then it asks for device admin access for nova.
Does the problem arise because of the RN8 or because you are already with Miui11?

Even I face the same issue with lawnchair Launcher. The wallpaper automatically resets to default every few hours.
I guess it happens when we use third party launchers

Hello guys! I am experiencing a problem with Google play services that are always working active or in the background and it's been draining my battery when I'm not using my phone. I currently have 80% battery and only 1 hour SOT. I have tried every fix which I found but nothing has worked for me. Only thing i haven't tried is resetting the phone. Anyone have the same problem?
try disabling location history and clear the data for play services

Tried it, doesn't make a difference.
New record.. 22% usage from Android System, and only 3 and a half hours SOT and I'm down to 22% battery at the moment..

Check the permissions of your installed apps, there should be some apps that are continuously working on the background. Also, I would suggest turning off "Allow background data usage" for most of the apps
I have already done that, and for a couple of days the phone was acting ok but it just shocked me yesterday.
Install GSam Battery Monitor and give it permissions using adb (follow instructions on the app). The app will give you a detailed analysis of what apps and even the processes within them that are consuming battery. Reflashing the official Samsung firmware with Odin could help.
