Hey everyone !
Basically, this tutorial is here to explain you how to SPEED UP ANIMATION. I find my phone way more efficient.
NO ROOT NEEDED.
1 - Enable DEVELOPER OPTIONS :
Go to Settings, About phone.
Tap many times on the second line (Build number) until the popup shows "You are now a developer".
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2 - Change settings :
Go to settings, developer options.
Scroll to the line called : Window animation scale.
Put Windows animation scale and Transition animation scale to 0,5x.
3 - You may need to RESTART your phone.
You should now notice that transitions are way more faster, you really get your phone more efficient switching app, navigating through menus,...
Feel free to leave a comment if you have any question or suggestion.
Yes, decreasing animation scales is always a good idea to get your phone snappy.
But I keep it at 1x, as I tend to enjoy the animation sometimes.

I also like animations that's why I don't disable them but in my opinion it is worth the time you get putting them at 0,5x !

Yes, it becomes a lot snappy when we set it to 0.5x.
It actually seems like that it doesn't take any time loading anything, and just fetches everything from the RAM.

At the beginning it seems strange but when you're used to, you can't come back haha [emoji1]
when you adjust "Animator duration scale", it will affect the camera timer.

Disabling them is better to me
i think is a common way for all android devices....just disabling animations
morover uninstalling bloatwares and disabling unwanted and unusefull system apps may also contribute in reduced lags
You got it right :good:

Has anyone ever received a traffic alert? I get them on my phone, phone vibrates, watch does nothing. Kind of disappointed they don't come across. I get every notification on my phone except those.
I get them multiple times per day.
I actually just dismissed one telling me it was 11 minutes to the gym... Way too early in the day to care about that.
I also get the notification of drive time to home in the late afternoon daily on the watch.

nope - this isn't what i'm referring to. you're talking the standard Google Now cards that tell you how long until your recent destination/home/work, etc. I'm talking when there's an incident or heavy traffic, you'll get an alert (not a card) that says, "accident", etc.
example:
{

In Europe you get these on Google Maps when you have Waze installed. It's marked on your map too "Reported via Waze"

Your pic isn't linking on my phone. I rarely get those kind of alerts you described, even on the phone.

google purchased waze - which is why the alerts show up.
I know but I thought Waze had to be installed to get them but Google Now shows them any way

Given the general unreliability and lack of timeliness of Google Now traffic reports (I would get them, but usually when it's too late and I'm already stuck in it), I added Commute (by MapQuest) which allows me to set certain automatic traffic updates for frequently driven routes at the most opportune times. It has Android Wear support.

At 7:15am before I leave for work and 5:45 before I leave I get the heads up on my commute.
Hello, I would like us to make a list of apps and configurations that we have lost in Android 8 or addons.
Do you cheer up?
If there is a solution, it would also be interesting to put it. I will update this post with your help.

Double tap to wake has never been on this phone, nougat or oreo, unless you run androplus kernel.
That's because it is a kernel feature rather than an OS one.
Screen video capture, not sure, never seen nor used it, but there's apps for that.

Sony used to have a built-in screen capture app but they got rid of it for some reason. Im super annoyed that theres no double tap to wake though. Thats like a step down from my Z2.

I thought id take a look through this app called privset and I noticed theres a set double tap to wake option. I wonder if it works because its current value is false. The app does require root but I know that some root apps can be used with write secure settings granted through adb on non root devices. I wonder if this could work.

Thanks bro looks nice
No offence but the other person that posted the enhanced version, look much more accurate as actual Xperia 1. This looks stretch-up & zoomed after applied.
Attached are the enhance version.

Are you referring to the ones I posted?? I also have these wallpapers. I even updated my post to include these. I do not know where OP got these wallpapers but mine are from Weibo. From Zackbuks to be exact. Still waiting for the stock wallpapers though for the full resolution ones.?

Oopps seems like it lol. Maybe yours for the lock screen? Live wallpaper animation then streched up to this version? Still unknown as no leaks about how actually Xperia 1 live wallpaper works.

Yeah, I think the first ones I shared are the initial images of the live wallpaper on the lockscreen and then these new ones are the static part. I think it works the same as the 10/10 Plus'. Animation when unlocking the device then becomes static after that.
Check this hands-on of PhoneArena at 0:06 mark. It shows the live wallpaper animation.

Yup that confirms it. Yours are static image for the lockscreen, this post are static image for the homescreen.
I dig it why Sony using horizontally pattern wallpaper, its to cover up the tall long display 21:9 screen ratio by give us some illusion into it lol.
I'm using Nova prime launcher on RMN8PRO, and every morning I have to configure my widgets.
Does anybody have a solution?
Already tried removing launcher and respective widget apps from battery management, giving permissions, turning off special mi power management, etc...until now, none of these actions solved the problem.
small curious detail, I thought that it only happened during the night, when the device is sleeping for several hours, but a few days ago, around midnight, I was watching tv, and the device was only unused for not more than 45/60 minutes, when I grabbed it, the widgets were gone again, so I guess it's not a question of sleep time but also or rather a system action that occurs at some time frame.
Help? [emoji24]

Peharps you have to change the parameter to " no restriction" in the battery settings.

Already did that to launcher and apps with widgets I use...still the same problem
Sent from my Redmi Note 8 Pro using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I'm with nova launcher too. Mine does that when a system backup is performed. Super annoying.
Additionally, I am using nova launcher gestures to lock my device via touch. Every time the widgets get reset, this also stops working. When I try to use it, it asks me what I want to do via the touch and then it asks for device admin access for nova.
Does the problem arise because of the RN8 or because you are already with Miui11?
Envoyé de mon Redmi Note 5 en utilisant Tapatalk
Even I face the same issue with lawnchair Launcher. The wallpaper automatically resets to default every few hours.
I guess it happens when we use third party launchers

I am on miui 10
os botões de navegação no s20 são enormes, eu queria torná-los menores
vi outro post de como diminuir adb mas no android 13 não funciona mais
English only please...
Translation:
the navigation buttons on the s20 are huge i wanted to make them smaller
I saw another post on how to decrease adb but on android 13 it doesn't work anymore
First mistake was going past Android 10. This N10+ is still running well on Pie.
Try using Galaxy store Good Lock family, Navstar. You may be stuck with the size but you can make them more transparent.

Try One handed Operation plus again from the Galaxy store. It allow any navigation swipe command or even popup buttons from anywhere on either side. Almost no battery usage. I use it constantly.
