I'm using default.... want to flash first tym

hey you can find driver for fastboot in here http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/fastboot-driver. just download it after that connect your device in fastboot mode to your pc and then open device manager and search warning driver. And do driver update, extract the file that you download it before and then you can use this folder for driver update for your windows after update and wait for installation. finish your device fastboot driver has been installed just try it ok, this for windows x64 bit only ok

This may be the solution.

i think so, windows 8.1 can't installed any driver that you want it, if you installing fastboot driver from flashtool they will say only adb driver and flashmode driver has been installed right? it same with me, so you must download fastboot driver in here http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/fastboot-driver, after you download it extract file after that connect device in fastboot mode to your pc and then open control panel and open device and printer after search device that still unknown i think it detected S1 boot device after that open that device and do driver update, and choose search from browser, select file that you download it. and choose install, yap and fastboot driver is installed correctly try ok yaa

Flashtool drivers problem

Hi everyonen, i just hard resetted my pc and just installed back flashtool 0.9.5.
I installed the driver that were in its driver folder, i also let pc companion install them but everytime i connect my Arc S (Debug USB ON and MSC), flashtool dosent reconize my Arc cause of the driver, infact if i check the device connected to pc, the arc is shown as without driver. so i tried to manual install them from it and it failed. few months are passed since first time i did it did i forgot something?
Just plug in your arc, go to your Flashtool folder and install them straight from there [With your device connected]
Kudos!
already did, also through pc companion and manual but i continue to get this

15/011/2012 10:11:26 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.
Now when its on it reconize him, but when i turn it into fastboot mode to flash the kernel it gives me the error again

So I'm gonna try and root an LT18i. Do I install the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Xperia neo, Xperia PLAY, .... drivers and Flashmode and Fastboot drivers? Also, I heard that for flash tool to work, PC Companion and other Sony applications shouldn't be present on the PC. Correct?

[Q] [S] ADB Drivers - Help me rooting!

Hey guys,
My lovely Xperia S just got here on friday and I've tried to root it. However, the problem is that when I plugged it to my PC, the SEMC driver wasn't installed correctly, and now it just won't no matter the USB port I plug the device into.
I've read here on XDA that for the driver to be installed correctly now, only by restoring the phone. And I really don't wanna do that right now... Is there any other way around? Does someone know where I can download the ADB Driver for the S?
Thanks a lot!
Download and install flashtool from HERE and install drivers in C:\Flashtool\drivers or your installed directory.
It didn't work. And I'm using the latest flashtool (0.9.9.0)..
As soon as I plug my phone to the PC and it goes trying to install the driver, the phone boots up to the charging image (the little battery). And I'm pressind the volume down key, the green light shows up and everything, but the phone starts and the process ends...

Check THIS drivers. Maybe the drivers from phone is erased. So try this drivers.
Android SDK os also installed with all the drivers.
I'll try this Sony one! Where should I put them?
Extract the file somewhere like desktop. Right click Computer on desktop > Manage > Device Manager Find there is something like "Sony ******" when the phone is connected. Maybe there is yellow mark. Right click it > update driver software > Browse my computer for driver software > Browse (Select the folder you extracted) and install the drivers. Do this and let me know whether it is working or not.

try to uninstall any Android Emulator programs you have
Check also if both ends of the usb cable are properly connected and intact to phone and laptop.
Install Android SDK, open it, install all drivers with it. That should do the thing, if I remember correctly.

If it's possible for you and not too painstaking, try and format your system, and then do a fresh install. Worked for me when I had a similar problem in the past.

Try this, download and install latest flashtool. Go to the installation directory, find a folder called drivers and run the exe "flashtool drivers". Scroll down and select Xperia Z AND FASTBOOT DRIVERS. Reboot PC and see if your PC detects your phone in fastboot
Also keep in mind, to have adb running, enable Android Debugging on your phone.

Connect your smartphone to PC
Make sure the USB debugging is enabled and revoke all debugging history(the option below the enable debugging)
Now install the drivers that appear on the screen as ZUK z2 drivers or something like that.
Install it .
It should take some time.
Then try the following command line"adb devices"
Now a prompt should appear
Click always allow and then on allow.
Now you should be able to connect your phone to the PC.
I just unlocked my bootloader on a win 10 machine
Like this if this works for you.
