[q] friend stream?

hi there
i have been searching around and just saw a video of the touch hd 2 and the ui of it is really nice i maen i have it on my phone now but its got something like friends stream which has facebook and twitter is there anyway to get this on the touch hd?

you mean the Sense 2.5 Twitter tab and te Facebook application? Look in the rom development section and try flashing a random Sense 2.5/ Leo Rom . Read the guide on how to flash a Rom if you don't know how to flash a Rom

LOL...No he isnt talking about that...
What he is talking about is the just released today new HTC Widgets..
Those are for android man.
HTC already said that they are moving forward with Sense (the android style) and no longer with the Manilla...
If you notice WinMo 7 doesnt support sense anymore...
So in the future if you want another device with "Sense" your gonna have to jump to Android...

yeah this dude is right its in hd 2 but does anyone have a way of just using an installer because i don't wonna loose all my current rom settings

I thought he was talking about the new sense widgets that HTC demoed at Mobile world congress...
The link to the youtube phone that you posted is the HTC Smart...if you google it and read on Engadget Mobile, that is a "Dummy Phone" it doesnt run winmo or android, its a very low grade HTC phone they are putting out that just runs a cheap version or sense and dummy software....

After digging in some more it definitely appears to be. It's listening on port 2479 which is the same port that Samsung's CarrierIQ listens on.

I just read about samsung's version of this IQ; sounds very shady.
Does any know if any of the EVO developers have managed to remove this from their ROMs?

Not sure. I read the same thing about Samsung's version of IQ which was what made me start looking at my running processes. That's when I noticed HTC IQAgent and started digging in.
I just flashed CyanogenMOD and there's no agent. I guess the best bet is to go with an AOSP based ROM to be sure. Hopefully it can be pulled from custom Sense based ROM's.

Very Interesting! If I were a DEV I would certainly list this in my Changelog!

[Q] Gingerbread + Exchange 2003 = error

Hello there boys and girls!
I have tried all Gingerbread ROM's there is for DHD but everytime my trial stops when trying to add my Exchange account. Is there some common problem with Android 2.3 and Exchange 2003 (SP2) or what can it be?
I can go almost through the wizard but when I press finish (or something like that) after naming the account it says that the account couldn't be created.
Is there anything I could try or should I stay playing with Froyo? No errors with it!

Anyone?
Am I really the only one with this issue? Hopefully but still doubt...

Dude its a leaked pre-beta rom what do you want people to do? Go back to froyo untill htc release GB, problem solved

[Q] Downloaded Skins not showing in the customize menu

Hello all,
I have a slight issue that only seems to be popping up on jb. I have downloaded skins and once they have installed not a single on except the 6 that come with the rom are showing. Has anyone else come across this? Has anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

I have the same problem, any solutions for this ?

Have the same problem atm, but one custom skin successfully installed on viperX 3.2.0 with the Viper AppInstaller, but seems this doesnt work on 3.2.1/2 unfortunately

Only sense 4+ (JB) skins work at the moment. There is a thread somewhere on XDA, but can't find it right now..

I don't think this is the problem, it's the same with skins from venom hub which are 4+ skins but doesn't work any more..

Still no luck?
Have tried re-downloading skins, but alas, no love from the skins. Menu still only shows the 6 htc skins. If it helps I'm running a virtually stock jb rom.

And even if I get it here on XDA I still have the same issues...
Downloaded team virtuous skins off the market and its all a no go...sigh...and they are SUCH COOL skins...

what rom are you using?
EDIT: have you tried downloading skins from here

I'm using a ROM I have cooked myself for just over 2 months now, before that I was on stock jb and same thing every time. No skins except those that come with the rom. I think even when I was using ARHD jb roms the same thing happened. No I haven't tried those skins, will give it a swing tho

Ok so I think I got the problem fixed, I went and downloaded a skin called "war" off the 420 thread as you suggested and low and behold I got that skin available as well as the others I downloaded! So thanks Goku80 for that suggestion. But this still doesn't really answer the question as to why this happens...

Maybe you did something wrong. I know in 4.2.1 roms the place were we save stuff changes. Wonder if that could be the reason for jb sense Roms to

As far as I know my rom is only jb 4.1 with sense 4+, nothing outside of the requirements of these skins, are there even 4.2.1 sense roms available for the one x? Anyhow, I would still love to know what causes the issue in the first place. For future reference and for others with the same issue...

You can find sense 4+ themes on the playstore
virturiousteam updated their skins and they are now for free because of a playstore issue

Just Updated Sense Home. Can't Load anything

I just downloaded the latest update for HTC Sense Home via the Play Store. It brings the new theming engine from the One M9. But when I open it up to change/edit themes, nothing loads. All I keep getting is 'Network error'. All other reviews for the update also say the same thing.
Anyone have a fix?

It is broken for me too. I can no longer customize the color scheme of BlinkFeed under Personalize - Theme. It is stuck in greyish-blue on my phone.

Yeah htc has just ruined something that worked perfectly.
The network error issue is gone and I can now pick themes. Once you get there, you can change BlinkFeed's color.

It's still network error here most of the time, although it attempted to load the themes for a few times, before giving up to network error again.
It looks like the HTC servers are just swamped, and could not meet the demand when so many people are trying out the themes. Hopefully, it will all work better in a couple of days when the hype die down.

Installing the quoted apk does the trick. I tried it on my M8 running stock lollipop.

The M9 / Sense 7 clock widget is what I was referring to....I'm still trying to figure out if we are supposed to have it with the Sense Home update for the M8 since the lock screen has it now. Seems strange one would have it and the other would not...

The weather/clock widget is not directly part of the updated (new) HTC theme. May be it will get updated soon, may be not until the M8 gets full Sense 7. Anyway, I used the linked apk, and updated it myself. It works perfectly fine.
