GingerSense for Hero leaked on VillainROM

Hey I found this while trolling about.

It seems to be a Gingerbread Sense ROM being put out by VillainROM, but I am having issues getting it to download.
Can you guys check it out, just in case its my dodgy internet connection.

The file is only accessible to admins, so unless you have the login and password you won't be able to download it.

Still if they already have a test version then it could soon be released. Will look forward to that

right not buying it i hate april fools day every 1 is expecting pranks and stuff its more fun to do this some where on a random day

I've managed to download it and all I can say it runs preety smooth for an Alpha ...

Would anyone who managed to download it, upload it for us please???
and how well is it working, camera, stability, feedback i mean...

2.3 ROM with sense for hero will be really sweet . Hope some1 develop that.

Something fishy here...Donator on VR and my username password wont work....Pulser said use your usual name and pass...Anyone care to link me?

1. Is this for GSM Hero?
2. Wird thing for me - we do not have 100% working Froyo Sense ROM (in fact - port) and now there is Gingerbread Sense ROM (it should be port, but from which hTC smartphone?)
3. Would be nice to test it, so I would appreciate any link/username/pass to this ROM on my PM
4. Or at least - screens

No. It isn't real. The username and password were a hint.
ROM wont flash, as I removed update script.
It is just VR13.

I liked that you still went to the effort of changing some of the build.prop entries I noticed that but when some were still showing old 2.1 versions and the update script was missing.. Damn you Pulser.

TNz Blend Rom Issues

I am not able to reply to emails using the non-gmail client. Has anyone had this issue. Im trying to figure out if its my phone.

Have you been able to on other roms, using the same mail app?

I haven't tried any other roms yet. I really didn't want to keep switching because i don't want to mess anything up.

Do I have to stick with EL29 Roms since that is my factory build.

Not at all. El29 is the most recent gingerbread build but you can run the ics builds. Just make sure you read thoroughly and remember, they are leaks, so they aren't perfect yet. I would suggest waiting for a more stable build.
As for your email woes, have you made sure your settings are correct for pushing mail? You may also want to make sure the settings from your email provider are set up to push through a email app.

Im sorry I should have clarified, the email would freeze and forceclose when I try to type my reply. I did figure out though when I use the Samsung keyboard its fine, it ounly does it with the HTC keyboard. How will I know when something is more stable? Thanks for your help.

Push Email Issue - Anyone same Problem?

This is my second post in ths forum.
I got my HOX couple days ago, and notice a problem with the phone.
Push email is not working consistently, and the time it takes for email to get pushed to my phone ranges from 5seconds to more than 1 hour.
Are you facing the same problem? Here is a quick test to check.
-Setup Push for your email account (using Microsoft Exchange),
-Set Push for both on peak and off peak times ( do not use smart sync)
-Make sure auto-sync is turned on
- send your self an email. Then observe if the email comes in instantly. (within 3minutes is acceptable).
Sometimes it works right after you put your phone to sleep. But try putting your phone to sleep for about 15minutes then send your self another email to see if the push setting is working?
I have been spending quite a fair bit of time looking around and trying different things, but sadly, I have not found a solution yet. Coming from an Iphone, my Iphone gets pushed 100% of the time within 5 seconds of receiving the email.
I resort to flashing to a custom ROM to see if this problem goes away, but again, no luck.
This issue has been reported in the AT&T ONE X forum, but I have not seen much mentioning in the internation version forum. However i have seen people saying they have issue on the internation version as well.
Just a quick note to let you guys know my setup
- I have setup both my emails (gmail and work email) as Microsoft Exchange Account with "Push" enabled for both on peak and off peak times.
- Automatic Sync is Turned ON
- SmartSync is NOT used here.
This phone is amazing, and I did not regret selling off my brand new S3 for this. However, being the flagship phone for HTC issues like this is just unacceptable. This issue needs to be fixed before I can drop my iphone and move over entirely.
Please let me know if you have similar issue, and I believe as a team we can solve this issue much faster than required for a single person to do!

PS: I am currently looking for a sense-less rom and try to see if this issue persist. If you are currently running any sense-less ROM which you think is very stable and suitable for day to day use, please let me know.

its a sense issue, all cm and aosp roms with google email app have it working and syncing lperfectly. im hoping the new 2.15 base solves this, as i love sense

Thanks for confirming this issue. Like you, I think sense is great. But very disappointed with this issue as I am constantly missing emails.
Can you recommend a stable cm or aosp rom for daily use?
I have been looking around but they are all still within early developement stages and I can't afford to have the phone die on me while I am on the go.
Also when u say 2.15 base is that JB?

nope, just a 404test release base that is better than the current 2.05 test release our 404 roms are based on
as for aosp, cm10 preview 11 is more than capable for everyday use, but u can always stick with cm9, and icecoldjelly is a pretty awesome rom too

I am a little confused. How will I know if the stock has a new base as you have mentioned? Are there any custom rom that might be using the new base already?
Sorry for all this question as I am very new to android, and I really wanna move onto the HOX.
I have tried revolution and ViperX rom. Both still has this issue. I will try Cm10Preview11 tonight. But really hope that HTC can sort this mess up as i am big fan of sense apart from this problem. Have been using sense since HTC Touch! (4 years ago!)

android revolution hd will be releasing their 7.3.0 rom using the new base today in a few hours, so i suggest u get on that. since it is a test release, stock users wont be getting it. many other ron devs have got thr test release source code from footbal, but arhd is probably going to be the fastest to release it.

a current solution is the hotmail app in play, but it isnt visually appealing at all. at lest it gets the job done

HTC One X auto upload problems

Ive had the One X for a while now and its by far the best phone ive ever had. Havent quite got round to rooting it yet but im going to wait a bit.
Anyway, i have a problem with the facebook auto upload feature, as far as im aware ive turned it off but whenever i take a photo it attempts to upload it but fails and gets stuck at 0%, rsulting in me havingto cancel the upload after every photo ive take!
Any Help would be appreciated!

Are U sure it's a rom issue? Read commits on market from official facebook app...this thing is crap!

were you using the facebook app itself to do this (assuming there is a way), or the auto upload setting within the camera app?
i've had this before when uploading pics manually. sounds like yours maybe stuck in the middle somehow..

Well i dont think its a ROM issue because i havent flashed any custom ones yet, all ive done is run the setup wizard then try to cancel the auto upload? who knows, what ill do is root my phone and flash a new ROM and thatll sort it!

[Q] SUPERNOVA Xtreme question

I have this rom on my htc desire and it worked great for long time..
Lately i have a problem... WHen i close an app and go to the home screen, not always, but often, the cell kind of..restart the gui...i get the white screen with the htc logo, and it reload the system.
Any idea about what it could be? I tried to reset it, reflash the rom, wipe everything but the sd.
Thank you in advance to anyone would try to give me ideas or any kind of help

It's kind of a "Refresh". It doesn't do any harm. It's actually good.
That usually happens when the launcher process is put to sleep, allocating more memory to the foreground process.

Maybe it's just a refresh and it could be even good, but it's kind of bothering..and i don't think it's anything normal..
I was thinking it was 'cause the system gives all the resources to the process i use, and then, when i got back to the home screen, it has to restart it..but...

It is the way it simply is and there is no cure. Maybe you could try making it bulletproof using V6 Supercharger script?
Your interpretation is much closer to the truth, as it is nothing good and is certainly annoying as hell. It would never happen on a phone with decent hardware specs.

I can try with that script, but.. i don't wanna mess up things more just to end up with same issue...
It's...stupid...i mean...sometimes it happens in the morning when the alarm rings and when i turn it off..it goes to home screen...and i get the white screen.. What could be wrong after a night in deep sleep?
And..anytime i install or update an app...same thing...
I was thinking to change it anyway...but i can't waste much money..i was thinking about the desire x..now i don't wanna end up with another problem...

Try using a Gingerbread AOSP rom, like MildWild. They don't have that reset thing.

The main reasons i chose the supernova rom was 'cause it was based on the orginal and with the htc sense..
Dunno..i just am sad and disappointed..
Maybe i will try to flash some other rom..

You can also try the original and rooted gb with sense rom.
Look for it in the dev index.
