Is there a good app that shows you a break down on what apps are using your battery the most? Right now I just look at the battery use under settings (running cm7), but I was wondering if there was anything more detailed.
Thanks
I'm sure there are others, but Spare Parts also has some pretty good info.
I use Battery Monitor Widget and it shows basically any kind of Battery info I can think of.
So, I checked my battery usage on my M8 and saw some apps like Facebook,Whatsapp are taking too much battery compared to other apps.
So my question is, How can I disable the apps without entering into settings>app.
Is there any widget that we can place on the homepage so that we can disable/enable apps whenever we want ?
Thanks

Greenify. It works for both rooted and nonrooted devices.
consider also xposed + amplify. for the same price I think there is more control about what is eating battery. you can disable or limit rate of strict wakelock/alarm/service. but it is not so simple as greenify and require some set-trial-repeat process.
but once set you have pretty much full working device with all connectivity goodness but with considerably lover battery leak.
for me it was like dropping from sane uncontrolled 50mA to 6-8mA per period during idle hours (when the phone screen is off). 1% drop per 2 hours. kk but different device - s3 lte.
btw. that's interesting if it could manage to last ~200h on single charge - workweek [emoji15] however I'm not at position to resist so long period without checking Parez Hilton rumors [emoji6]
Hey guys
I recently installed CM12 (official version) but i noticed that it eats up alot of battery alot quicker than my stock ROM
i installed better battery stats and started recording stuff but idk how to read the information it provides
can someone help me?
Thanks
You could also try a cpu app such as no frills cpu to set the min and max frequencies.
I don't want to mess with clocks till I have expended all my other options. Do you guys know how to use the information betterbattery stats record?

Set BBS to show stats since Unplugged.
Charge your device so that it is fully charged just before going to bed.
Unplug and let it set idle overnight. This will let you know about background processes consuming battery, as opposed to you actually using the phone and consuming battery.
First thing in the morning open BBS. Click the share icon at the top left of the screen. Select the Text Dumpfile option and then Save. You could then take screenshots of the BBS pages; especially Partial Wakelocks, Other, and Alarms.
There are active threads with participants who are very familiar with interpreting the BBS results obtained.

You could also try dkp kernel. Search the forums here. I've heard you can get better battery life with it on cm12.

I just migrated to the Note 7 after being JB iPhone user, sorry for the newbie questions. How reliable is Google Play store in approving apps?
I saw a new app Battery Temperature Alarm (and Pro version).... 2 questions:
1) Should the app be safe (malware) ?
2) Could the alarm actually work if the phone gets too hot (even if only directional).
I've never used it personally, but the permissions it requires seem off.
If you want a good battery monitoring app, GSAM Battery monitor is great, and not shady.
It's free with ads, or you can get the paid version to remove them.
I'd also recommend the Elixir widgets. I've been using them since Froyo and they're great.
When I still had the Note7 I put CPU-Z just like on PC. It tell you temp, battery, and many other detail about your phone.
I set up a profile in tasker to sound alarm when it hits a certain temp works perfectly
I use 2 apps CPU TEMP and CPU-Z .....CPU TEMP does have a overlay that I find useful when running programs
I am using Resurrection Remix latest version. The Battery Discharge Rate is between 250-750mAh when I measured. Is it normal?

If you browse(only browse) with heavy browser (e.g., chrome/brave/facebook etc.) 1% in every 5-8 minutes is normal. While gaming, 1% in every 3-4 minutes is normal. However, if you just flashed the rom then wait for 2-3 cycle discharge to see the actual result.

No. While looking apps like WhatsApp and Facebook. I just flashed it 24 hours ago. Mobile Data Off, Bluetooth Off, Wi-Fi - Connected, GPS - Power Saving, CPU (Governer) - Powersave, Automatic Brightness. No many background apps (2GB RAM Free).

Yes. I use GApps.
But, when I was running CrDroid with GApps it was ok. Then I installed MSMXtended and Ressurection Remix. In both there was high battery usage. I install GApps with every ROMs but never faced such problem. Which is the best ROM in terms of battery performance?

Sure.
Because of some network problems, I am unable to attach the file. I can write it here.
It is showing Core Nos.:
0, 1, 2, 3 - 100%
4, 5, 6, 7 - 52%
Governer - powersave
I think its high

I'm on latest RR also. It seems latest one has slightly higher battery drain. May be CPU is using higher clocks all the time.

that purcentage shows the available purcentage
only your higher frequency cores are used ,which mean a heavy task is runing (or tasks)
are you using a custom kernel ?
(me too i'm using RR now for some tests and my battery drain is between -130/220mah while listening to music and -250/500mah while browsing , but i think my config is little crasy cus i freezed LOT of system apps and uninstall others ...)

No. Stock kernel came with the ROM (RR).
No heavy tasks I set. How can I check if there are any? I haven't set any? I want to check any app is doing this.

But the apps given in the image are important and they need to work. However, I think no way without switching ROM or downgrade.
