Hi
The market is working and the updates are shown correctly.
However, whenever I choose "Update all" or just a single app for updating, the process starts but the file isn't downloaded. It just gets stuck at the "downloading.."-visualisation. For hours.
I've reflashed the newest gapps, tried to reinstall the market via titanium, but the issue persists. Any idea?
Clarification: There is no freeze, or no error message or something like that. It just doesn't start/finish to download the apps properly
Yeah yeah, of course:
Couple of minutes after finally posting to xda the problem is solved:
I reinstalled my backup via titanium, wiped the data,
entered the store. The phone crashed,
I took out the battery and inserted it again,
after restarting it demanded my agreement to the market update (not the initial one), it worked again
Apparently my phone is unhappy with the latest Facebook app update, and reboots every 15 minutes or whenever I run or attempt to uninstall the app. I managed to remove it by deleting the .APK files in debug mode. Running the latest CM10.2 ROM from Chillybean.
Hello,
I've recently upgraded my Sony Xperia Acro S to android 5.0. Everything was fine, until i tried to install google play store. I downloaded .apk file from apkmirror, installed it, everything seemed fine, but when I try to open it, the app just shows a white window and immediately shuts down. It doesn't even load or anything. I tried to download different versions of google play store - new and old ones, and tried to import the apk file from computer but result is the same for every version. Any tips/ suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Google apps don't work that way. You need to flash them via recovery, and they are separate for separate Android versions. If You are on Android 5.0, You need to flash these gapps via TWRP, and if on 5.1, then these gapps. Although You need to uninstall play store completely first.
today i installed cyanogenmod CM13 and gapps on my asus zenfone 2, the install went fine, but when i booted my phone, i selected the language, then when it went to look for updates, a system message appeared "google play services has stopped", which has caused the phone to hang at the update page, and to top it off i forgot to install TWRP, so i think im going to have an issue installing a fresh install.
does anybody have any ideas as to what i can do please?
+1 same problem

This is a CM bug (not relating to our device), showing up on a lot of devices since 3/26 builds. Chances are it will be fixed soon.

Hello I'm umesh soni, from India
As i mentioned, my playstore is unable to update Chrome browser and its Plug-in (or whatever you call it) WebView, since I updated my phone to latest Android version 10.
I tried to clear Data and force stop, play Store, re-start my phone, clear cache... Every possible thing....
Also I tried to uninstall the chrome, but since chrome is my pre-installed primary browser so I cannot completely uninstall it, so when i tapped Uninstall button, basically it just uninstall the update and back to older version...
Even After doing this, the update button stays unresponsive, i tried to update via opening playstore.com from browser, and tried to update Chrome, and it also not worked.
So finally after everything i decided to download Apk file from other sources, (Apkmirror.com)
But this is not the solution..
Please tell me why only chrome & WebView is not updating, and rest of the app are working completely fine, and update when ever i want.
Please help me...
Thank you.

Hi,
I have a Xiaomi Poco F3 and a Redmi Note 8 pro that are facing the same issue, I have investigated a bit more by doing an adb logcat on only the Poco F3, and I have found that the following error gets triggered when I try to update Chrome.
Code:
4-10 00:34:14.008 17140 17170 E Finsky : [993] tvh.apply(44): IQ::GROUP_INSTALL: Error validating group. Rejecting requests: [com.google.android.trichromelibrary, com.android.chrome]
04-10 00:34:14.008 17140 17170 E Finsky : com.google.android.finsky.installqueue.impl.preprocessor.GroupInstallValidator$InvalidGroupException: GROUP_INSTALL: Group com.google.android.trichromelibrary and com.google.android.trichromelibrary have overlapping module [com.google.android.trichromelibrary, com.android.chrome]
long backtrace from java
TLDR: Cannot install chrome update because group trichromelibrary and trichromelibrary are in conflict.
Yeah makes senses since this library exists already...thus it conflicts with itself.
I don't know why this check is only made under MIUI 12, and not LOS (Lineage OS roms for instance) because I could update chrome on LOS with no issue like this, this doesn't look like a Google Play Store issue but more a MIUI 12 issue.
