[Q] Bluetooth and arduino - Testing

Basically I want my phone to communicate via Bluetooth with a arduino. But here is the catch, I want the arduino to send a command to the app that tells it to shut off cellular data until the ardunio says to turn it back on. I would like it to run in the background and even when the phone is rebooted, it knows that the cellular data should be off/on. I would like to know if this is possible to make.

automatically turn on wifi?

hi all,
is it possible to automatically turn on wifi when an app that needs n/w access starts, then turn it off after x minutes of activity? i'd don't want to leave wifi turned on permanently as it kills the battery, but it'd be nice to be able to surf just by opening up PIE and have it handle the connection, just as it currently does with a dialup connection...
ric
It is possible - but you probably need a scripting app like MortScript or SK Schema (I can never remember the name).

[Q] Preventing BT Openzone

Hi there.
I tend to leave Wi-Fi on all the time. Is there any way of blocking my phone from trying to connect to BT Openzone?
I find myself out and about trying to load a webpage (through GPRS/3G) when suddenly the http://www.btopenzone.com/ site attempts to load instead, and tries to get me to buy credit - obviously because I happen to be walking past a hot-spot.
I'd rather not turn off wi-fi - I don't want to miss any free hot-spots I can take advantage of, nor forget to turn it back on when I'm at home/in work.
Go to Settings>Wireless & Networks>WiFi Settings select BT Openzone then 'Forget'.

Stand Alone Wi-Fi Problems

I have had this watch just about a week, after multiple resets, checking settings, I still cannot get the watch to connect to the internet via wi-fi without my phone. It will say it's connected to the network within the settings screen, but be unable to perform any tasks such as ok google commands, etc.
I just spoke to Huawei, and they said you cannot connect to the internet without your phone being paired via bluetooth. Is that correct?
yes, the wifi connection is only used to connect to your phone via the internet/wlan (cloudsync), but it can't do anything without it.

How to send accelerometer data from moto360 to the laptop via bluetooth?

I am trying to send the accelerometer data from my moto360 to laptop (or PC).
I know that it is OK to send data to smartphone via SDK, however, I have no idea how to send data to PC or laptop.
Anyone can help?
Thanks much
Seeing as the watch's bluetooth connection is tethered, so to speak, to the phone, I believe you would have develop an app that relays the data from the phone to the laptop. This can be achieved either via bluetooth connection from the phone or WiFi. In other words, you'd have to use the phone as a "middle man" for the data.
Just to clarify even further:
Watch ----Via BT ----> Phone ------Via BT or Wifi---------> laptop
The "easiest" way would be to send the data to the app and have the app send it further to a server. If you want it display it in "realtime" I'd recommend pushing the data in to a realtime database like Firebase or something similar, and then have a webapp on the laptop to display the data. It won't be in perfect "1 to 1" sync with the data from the watch, but as far I know, it's the only viable one. This would enable you to track the data even when your not in bluetooth range of the laptop.

What is the purpose of Wifi on the watch??

Can someone please tell me what is the role of the Wifi on the Galaxy Watch?
I read that it is supposed to give me my notifications if i walk out of blue tooth range but it does no such thing. In fact it disconnects.
It says I am connected and then it goes off. I have it on AUTO. I assume when I am not in blue tooth range it should connect. It does nothing like that. What is the difference between auto and always on? I can't find this documentation anywhere!
Second...what does it even do?
Also, will this work with a big hospital wifi? I have it on on my phone, I turn on the wifi ON ALWAYS and it comes on ,but auto it does not. What is the difference?
So I guess my questions are:
1. Why does my WIFI connect and then go off after a brief amount of time??. This happens while I am on a hospital wifi that is connected to my phone, allows me to connect for maybe 10 - 60 seconds then the wifi icon goes away. Is this because it is a public wifi? I know that I am connected but it is lost.
2. Whenever I connect to this wifi, I have to turn on the wifi ALWAYS ON to see the options. That's stupid! What is the function of the AUTO then??
Any help would be needed because I want to be able to fully use the functions of my watch.
I work in a hospital and sometimes leave my phone in my office. The WiFi on my watch kicks in and I do receive all of my notifications. The only thing is that I cannot respond to them and I am guessing it's because I use a pixel 3xl and not a Samsung phone...
