first go in bootloader and then connect to computer and you will not receive this error then charge the phone with bat file in bootloader then flash custom recovery philz 5.15.9 then charge the phone in recovery then install the rom and flash boot.img. And yes you must change your battery but first install rom and see how is there with the battery.

No matter how long the phone is on charger. DOWNLOAD this and paste the Charge one x.bat in your fastboot folder go in fastboot with your phone and start the bat file. The phone will start to restart non stop but you will see slowly will charge when reach 3800 you can flash recovery

First of all I'm new to this forum so Hello! second of all I'm also new to rooting and custom ROM's.
So today after 3 days of trying to unlock my HTC One X by htcdev.com i finally submitted my identifier token and i got the Unlock_code.bin
I downloaded Android Revolution HD 18.1, I also downloaded the CWM v5.8.4.0 and installed it on my phone.
After that i followed the instructions on how to install the Revolution HD 18.1, after doing all the steps on my phone it told me it was succesfully installed and i had to reboot the system. So i did it, then the part comes where i'm getting stuck. It was rebooting my htc , and it wouldn't go further then the opening screen HTC quietly brilliant it was stuck there. trying to put my phone on and off and on and off, same problem. Now i can only go in the boot-loader menu and in recovery menu and that's it. I re-lock my phone again to update firmware. NOW I HAVE ONLY ACESS TO BOOT MENU AND BATTERY IS ALSO NOT CHARGING I PUT IT ON CHARGING FOR 5, 6 HOURS. WHEN EVER I TRY TOO UNLOCK BOOT LOADER IT SAYS BATTER LOW
I did a lot of research on how to fix my problem, unfortunately nothing helped. (Maybe cuz I'm a noob and new to this)
I tried almost every thing but nothing help
Can someone please help me with this, i've been trying it all day now and i'm giving up the hope.

leave it on the bootloader to charge
Leaving it in the bootloader will drain the phone, it does not charge there.
Use the bat script in the right way ? Place this
http://db.tt/aLqeTpPO
In the fastboot folder on the pc, put the phone in the bootloader/fastboot usb mode
Right click the .bat file and select it to run as administrator ! That's the only way to charge the batt up. Leave it for an hour and you should be able to unlock it and flash a custom recovery from where you can charge the up to more power
Thanks and whta next dear

1. Wipe/factory reset

How to charge in recovery and secondly how to fast boot after flashing with ARHD confuse
You flashed cwm recovery 5.4.8.0 ? If you are in the recovery and you see the led burning is okey, of not leave the cable on the phone and on the pc and reboot the recovery
Like fastboot command but instead fastboot you type
Adb reboot recovery
It reboots the recovery and the led should go on !
And if you want to go to the bootloader from the recovery you type
Adb reboot bootloader

CWM is outdated. Download this one: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img
And flash like this:
"fastboot flash recovery filename.img"
Phone in fastboot mode of course.
And as far the fastboot usb connection, try to re-install HTC drivers and check that the device is recognized by the pc. Then put the phone in the bootloader again and try the command
Fastboot devices
Hopefully it brings back the serial
Or you may need to update the java sdk platform tools

Thank you for all the help you are giving me.
If the serial comes up you are good to go and flash ....did you try the idea i gave in my previous post ?
That Worked phone is up and running again.
Thanks for all your help you may have saved my life. The other half would have killed me if I suddenly went and got a new phone.
Nice ! Glad it worked
I have read lots of threads with the same error, but, after trying various methods, none of it worked for me...
Yesterday I upgrade my hboot from 1.12 to 1.39 (CID BSTAR301).
The firmware is for my CID, but not the same carrier.
So I relock the bootloader, flash firmware.zip on fastboot, unlock the bootloader again....
Until this, everithing was ok, but when I tried to install a rom, I can't access the sdcard via CWM....
Reboot again to fastboot, and I get the error Failed to open usb master mode.
With adb I push Sky Dragon Rom, but I can't access my sdcard from the rom, neither the pc...
I've tried:
- reflashing the firmware
- fastboot oem format (invalid command)
- reflashing everithing
- Use go-mtpfs
And nothing, I just can't access my sdcard, and I don't have a RUU tu reflash it...
Does anyone have any other suggestion???
Thanks in advance...
BTW, the hboot update was succesful, my HOX is now on hboot 1.39
The failed usb master mode error when you enter the bootloader is because the cable is connected. Remove the cable and try all things again.
Now for the sdcard acces, what happens when you mount the sdcard as a diskdrive inside the recovery ?
Try this :
Flash a new custom recovery
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot erase cache
http://db.tt/z07vyksQ
Try this one (rename it to recovery.img)

First, thanks for the answer..
I can mount the 2gb internal memory, but I can't access my 32gb sdcard...
It happens with the old recovery (CWM), and with the new one....
Also, when the phone boots up completely have the same issue...
Yesterday I was trying to send some files via airdroid, but It says that I can't.
Even if I try to format the sdcard, get an error...
Also, adb pus file sdcard pushes the file to the internal memory, not the external one
Strange ! So you select in the recovery the mounts & storage menu - mount as usb storage (last option in the list) nothing comes up in windows ?
Try it with another pc ! Original usb cable, no usb hub ?

Sorry, didn't try to mount...
After checking it works now, thanks a lot...
I'm thinking in post the firmware to update and this solution, if you agree
Yeah why not ....but mounting the sdcard as an usb diskdrive is standard for at least a year already
All good now ? Good

The HOX is not S-OFF you need to flash boot.img from fastboot with the command fastboot flash boot bootname.img where bootname is your name of boot.img. Just download fastboot and extract the zip file to c:\fastboot then open cmd go in fastboot with your phone, take the boot.img from your rom.zip paste it in c:\fastboot and then run the command

If adb gives you a permission error type into BASH terminal (Ubuntu/Debian) or command prompt (win) "adb root". If that recovery works there should be an option somewhere to Mount the SD card. Make sure the recovery you flash is built for your device.

it is
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
but i don't think that this will solve his problem, i think that something messed up his partitions, probably he will need to run a RUU and see if that works

Here's the ruu for your device : http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...-r-radio-5120416229-release-302015-signedexe/
Download it. Lock your Bootloader : fastboot oem lock
Then run the ruu with admin privileges. It will take your phone back to full stock!
If your problem doesn't solve even now, it might be a hardware failure of some sort...

first flash the recovery in ur mobile if its bootloader is unlocked
Then you can do it with a nandroid backup !
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1975140
Go there and download the matching nandroid of your cid and main !
You need to flash the boot.img from the nandroid and unpack the nandroid to the phones sdcard then perform a full wipe and restore the nandroid.
It might need a JTAG.

i am also thinking the same
Guys, last night I try to install custom rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2555186 and I suppose so that i made a mistake. Ok that is not an issue, my problem is that after failed installation of that rom, I couldn't use my phone any more.
First of all I don't understand how I bypass to see that my battery percentage is 17%, second thing is that before I went to bed I put my phone to recharge and I see red light (blink). I woke up this morning and I couldn't see green light, i couldn't see any light. I try to turn on my phone but I cant do that..DEAD. I connect my phone with recharge and after 5 minutes I see red light blinking. That continues for about 35 minutes, red light blink all the time. After one hour I try to turn on my phone and that was successful. I put my phone in bootloader (fastboot) and try to go to recovery, but its stock to the welcome screen. I wait 5 min. and nothing change, I hold power and volume button and again I go to bootloader, then I go to TURN OFF PHONE (or something like that), then my phone restart, I do this 2 times and after that I turn it off definitely. I put recharger again and 5 minutes I couldn't see any light(red or green), after that period I can see red light blinking. And its blinking right now, 40 minutes after I start recharging my phone. I try just now to turn if on - nothing, to go into bootloader - nothing , just wait for red light(blinking) for about 30 sec. after turn recharger again.
Can any one help?
p.s.
If Mr Hofs see this I think that hes gonna kill me....
Yes i would gladly harm you ! I told you by PM to read and be carefull and now i see you are flashing roms that are NOT even ment for your phone !!!!
STAY IN THIS PART OF THE FORUM FOR ROMS
some tips :
Look for the battery script to charge the phone, when enough power is reached :
Fastboot erase cache
Then try to enter the recovery and keep the phone on charge. NEVER start flashing without a full battery !
Cheers.

Harm me but pls help me.....hahahah
I won't help you further than this. It's bedtime for me now.
for charging in bootloader there is a script....but why the hell you don't read at first for what device the roms are....omg .....
Okey..Here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738274
And try to enter in recovery,i think the phone must be charging in recovery?!
with that script it can be charged in fastboot ...but in custom recovery it can be charged too ...then if it is charged and above 50% flash a rom for the INTERNATIONAL HOX ...not the HOXL which isn't that what we have
I'm really not aware what am i doing...
Ok I download that Fastboot-battery-recharge.rar but don't understand where to put it and how to make my phone to restart because I can't do anything. I can go to fastboot but there its say that my battery is empty for flashing....Its say that I must put it at same folder where is my ADB files, is it mean fastboot folder or?
aaaaargh I'm so sry guys....
Take a look in your recovery thread does it support charging (while in recovery) or use link that I post before
@Opus Dei we already wrote and said what you have to do...so just do it and you will see it will be charged!!...man whats so difficult to take the script or at first read the thread which @big noob posted and then charging it with that script? ...or if you have a custom recovery installed charge it there...but it's better to use the fastboot script etc...
