My Friend has a Samsung Note 2 and rooted it after Warranty period.
Now due to 4.4.2 NE1 bootloader I have the following issues
a) Knox Warranty Void : 1 SWREV A2
b) Unable to load any custom - ROM (Loops at Samsung Logo)
c) Unable to Load Patched bootloader MJ5.tar because Magic String Fails.
I donot have bandwidth to download the STOCK ROM.
Is there any way to come out of bootlop without help of Stock ROM ?
Tried most of the tricks ! But couldnot recover without STOCK ROM

You can't have issues due to the bootloader. Your KNOX tripped due to root procedure.
1. Now your Knox warranty is void forever.
2. I wonder how you flashed custom ROM. If you follow the procedure to the letter, you should be able to flash most custom ROMs without a single issue.
3. KITKAT bootloaders FND1, FND3, FNE1, etc can't be downgraded no matter what. Whoever gave you the advice to flash MJ5 on NE1 is an idiot (sorry).
4. I hope this bootloader procedure has not messed up with your internal partitions.
5. Your best chance is with Kies. Try out the following procedure and you might get lucky.
6. Install latest Kies. Under tools looks for the option that says, "Emergency Firmware Recovery". It should do the job, but if it fails, go to the option “Firmware Upgrade and Initialization” (images attached for reference)
7. A prompt should pop up indicating that it will reinitialize to the original factory settings. The process would also reinstall the official Stock ROM into your device. Choose “Ok”.
8. Of course you need Internet connection and bandwidth. Without that your phone is a brick.

Root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771687
thank me if I helped
There's a couple of how to root threads in the development section. Flashing is the same process as your gs2.
As far as the imei issue goes , it seems random. The best advice I can give you is to make sure you flash a stock based ROM first that includes busy box , and backup your imei with one of the tutorials as well.
Good luck !

hmm.. so first i should do
1) SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 QCOM TOOLKIT V2.3 to get rooted and flash cmw recovery, do full nandroid backup or just download stock restore rom
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746682,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1727120
2) then use the IMEI backup & restore by geeks to backup IMEI, - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804123
3) then flash CM10 Rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778217
4) then use triangle away to reset flash counter ?
OR
1) use odin stock rom w/ injected root + cmw rocvery
2) use tookit to nandroid backup
3) backup imei with tool
alright nvm. got it rooted and flashed cmw. just need to know how to flash a kernal like trinity's. idk if its the same for this phone, but do i just name the kernal file pcimg10.zip and put it in the root of sd and go into cwm recovery ?

Any advice?
Thank you :good::cyclops:
Use Kingo root app. Far easiest method.
I'm assuming you do not have a KNOX firmware installed so that's great for you - do NOT perform any software updates from Samsung!
The best method is still using the original method. Remember to flash the kernel if you are staying with the Samsung rom after the root.

Or if you do not feel up to the slightly more technical challenge then you can use the app as mentioned above

How do I check if KNOX firmware is installed?
Boot into download mode.
If there is a line that shows KNOX in it while in download mode then you have a KNOX firmware.

Great, there is no KNOX! :cyclops::good:
Is there a way to flash newer official firmware without including KNOX any other precautions I should take before rooting and flashing a custom recovery?
Kind Regards

Read this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2549357
Thank you all for the help!
If I ever flashed firmware with KNOX, does it mean I can never remove KNOX?
For now - yes

Hi everybody, i have one GT-N5110 with issue. The issue is: ROM is damage, EFS is damage (i think) and cache partition can't be read by recovery, and when device is switch on the screen (backlight) is blinking with freq 10 - 15 Hz
So, some history:
Three days a go, one client give this tablet to me, with the issue of firmware. He told me that in past, he updated the firmware (ODIN) to N5110XXDNF1_N5110XEODNF1_HOME.tar.md5 and the firmware was damage. He does not have root and custom recovery.
When i first turn on a device, it was a note, that device is corrupted (or some thing like that) please use Kies to recovery. Kies doe's not wanna recover the device without recovery key, he even тще see him.
Well i trued to make a custom recovery (CWM) and device booted to recovery with issue of "can't mount cache/ recovery/ log. True install the firmware from recovery, wont start, going to reset.
What should i do? Only switch the motherboard?

Wow. There could be a bunch going on here. Can you get into download mode and if so, have you tried to Odin a stock package onto the tablet? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2773712
If you already tried this, what does it do?

Try Odin 3.0.9
I received the OTA for Lollipop, but I can't install it because I have a custom recovery. I need to install stock recovery, but my USB port is messed up and I can't use ODIN to flash the image. Is there a way to flash stock recovery without using ODIN or the USB port at all? Thanks!

Unfortunately it's not Lollipop, only a security update (still 4.4.2), I don't believe there is any other way.

Couldnt you use Chainfire's mobile odin to flash stock kernel and recovery, triangle away device status to Official, unroot via supersu app, and accept update, along after the update, follow CNexus's guide to re-root without a PC?
Or does the Knox 0x1 bit still prevent you from updating O_O?

Mobile Odin is a bad idea in this instance, high potential to brick you device trying to flash stock that way. I would honestly say spend the $45 and have one of those repair places replace the port
Ah okay, i know it is bad flashing full firmwares through mobile odin. Didnt know itd be bad doing recovery and kernel only.

Hello, I will use the Google translator because I am Brazilian
Today I ended up trying to install a custom rom on my moto g8, but it ended up giving some errors and I ended up blocking my bootloader manually, but now it doesn't start the phone and I can't install any stock rom with the bootloader blocked, all end up showing an error.

A week ago I bricked my Moto g fast by attempting to flash RetUS firmware without unlocking the bootloader first. Even though most of the fastboot commands failed a handful succeeded and that was enough to prevent my phone from booting to anything but bootloader mode.
I downloaded and flashed the official Boost firmware from lolinet and while the flash succeeded my phone was still bricked.
I installed the Lenovo Motorola Rescue and Smart Assistant tool from https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds101291 and used it to download official firmware for my phone but the rescue tool failed at 14%.
I tried a few other things that also didn't help before I ran the LMSA rescue tool again. This time it took several minutes to complete and my phone worked again. I am not sure why it failed at first but happy to have a working phone again.
hello, i'm also brazilian and i have a problem similar to yours, after leaving a custom rom the other day, and reinstalling the stock and blocking the bootloader, my phone called with the message that it was corrupted and it wouldn't start and now i can only access his bootloader and I can't flash anything, not even the stock rom, I don't know how to solve it, but I'm in a situation similar to yours
Hello, I have a problem with my Moto G8 (XT 2045-1). I tried to install a stock rom to fix a bug, however the phone no longer connects in bootloader mode, nor does it unlock the same and I can't even install any stock rom. Can someone help me?
