I am S-off, rooted, unlocked bootloader...But just went through some resets & other headaches yesterday trying to install the last OTA... Whatever I did, the phone seems to be having a few problems.
First, when I boot up, as expected, it seems to connect to the network pretty quickly. Then it finds my Wi-Fi and authenticates with it.
Then it switches to Wi-Fi calling... But it also then says there is "no SIM card". Really weird.
I downloaded a generic SIM card info app from the play store and looked at the information on my SIM card. From what it looks like, two fields are blank: (i) the SIM operator field, and (ii) the network operator field.
I am have not changed my CID so that's not a factor.
Can someone else here (who is on stock but rooted) check their SIM card to see if there are any values in these two fields?
Thanks!

If I put a sim card from another operator into my desire, will it prompt for the network and setup the data/apn/etc etc automatically, or do I need to either do it manually or hard reset the phone to get it to work?
Mine worked fine. Just put the sim in. Phone/sim had a think for about 2 secs, then no problem
I have a brand new issue that, for the first time, I haven't been able to resolve from existing posts on the forum.
When Cyanogen nightly build 92 first came out I loaded it on my phone and everything had been working flawless. Yesterday I swapped my SD card for a another one, something I do with regularity and have never had trouble. Afterward, the phone wouldn't boot.(black screen) I swapped back and still nothing. I removed the SD card entirely and installed another SIM from my G1. Although, it would not boot into the phone I was finally able to boot into CW, so I reset all caches, reformatted boot, system and data. Reinstalled build 92. About halfway through the reinstall the phone suddenly rebooted. I started over again, wiping cache, reformatting and reinstalling to build 92. (I double checked md5sum just in case the file was corrupt) This time it installed perfectly and I was able to reboot the phone back to what appeared to be normal.
Now everything appears to work fine except for one very serious flaw. I can no longer connect to an APN. I can search networks and see them but when I select one it says cannot register on network. If I connect to WiFi the "WiFi calling feature works fine and all seems normal. I did a little research and was told to check my IMEI. Sure enough it is 111111111111111 which is obviously invalid. I have no idea if the Invalid IMEI is a symptom of another problem or the cause.
Just for grins, I borrowed a friends AT&T Sim to see what would happen.( I recently updated to the gfree .05 for full unlock) There was no difference except of course, AT&T doesn't support T-mobile's WiFi Calling.
So here is where I stand so far:
Original SIM is fried so have a new one
Invalid IMEI but I have my original logged
WiFi Calling allows me to operate the phone normally but I can't go anywhere this way.
I have all of my CW backups and have tried them to no avail.
The swap of my SD Card is normal for me. When I travel I use an encrypted card for all of my data. (A slightly paranoid industry, {Corporate Intelligence} but hey, I get to use calling encryption)
I never store apps on my SD card and always select Internal as my installation location, not that it should cause a problem anyway.
I have been actively using and updating my phones since Jesus Freke started on 1.5 on the G1, so I am not afraid to get creative.
Any suggestion or direction at this point would be greatly appreciated.
know how many minutes I had I dialed the USSD code it displayed 'Connection problem or invalid MMI code' I signed in to my provider homepage to see if something was wrong and it said that my account was active? I'm on carbon ROM and my phone is rooted. I even took out my sim card and put in a different phone that phone sim card on my phone and it worked, but my sim card didn't work on the other phone when I dialed the USSD code it said 'Unable to process Request'? I have T-Mobile prepaid service. What should I do?

The issue is in the title. I needed my sim card to display this info for various messaging apps , especially when. Doing group messages . Does anyone know how I can set my number to my sim? I am on French bouygues network. It worked just fine in T-Mobile in the USA.
Uodate- I got it fixed by going back to mm, installing xposed, using sim editor module, inputting number, went back to custom ROM on nougat without formatting data and storage(flashed proper vendor, radio, bootloader) and my number stuck !!!
