hi
i have just started using android on my Desire, but i cant find out how to copy contacts onto my sim card in case i want to use a different phone,
i intially had my contacts on my sim so i copied them on to the phone but i had a few problems where it would show duplicates even though it was set to show only on phone/sim (cant remeber which one it was)/ some places it would only show phone ones.
i copied them onto the phone then deleted them from sim, no i want them back lol.
anyone know a way ?
Grab Contact2Sim from the market.

Grab = Download & Install
Contact2Sim = App
from the market = from the Android App market
you could also just export all contacts and then import them on your Sim via the menu in the phone I guess (correct me if I am wrong, not using Sim Card contacts, only GMAIL sync)
i remembered when i was using the original froyo i was able to save contacts into my sim, but ever since i used cyanogenmod 7, there's no such function anymore.
contact2sim does not allow single contact management. any other help?
thnx , it worked
Guys,
I've installed the CM7 ROM, everything works fine, all great.
Just have one problem: I am using a DualSIM adapter and with this adapter, the SIM is changed by a SIM Menu. The SIM Menu opens correctly but whenever I try to choose one option in this Menu, nothing happens... Did anyone experience the same problem? Or can you try to use anything in your SIM Menu just to check if it is working?
Thanks in advance
DualSIM - STK Toolkit

I have exactly the same behaviour (Beta 6). SIMTookit support has been added in Beta 5 and as far as I remember it worked with that version, but I am not sure.
I also tried a nightly (110601-2348), same result.
It definitly worked with previous installed pays rom (4.0).
Currently i use it with the 007 option :
In this mode, you have to save a contact with number 001 (or 002) to your SIM card to switch to SIM 1 (or 2).
I had to place the adapter in a different phone to enable this mode.
I have a "MAGICSIM 3G", but as far as I have read in different forums, the SimToolkit application has the same functionality accross all suppliers.
Currently i use the "Copy To Sim Card.apk" for switching. It is not ideal, but it works. A second problem is, that the phone always reboots after switching.
With pays rom it only rebootet while switching from SIM2 to SIM1.
In general, the STK Toolkit support seems to work, because one of my SIM has a SIMToolkit application stored on the SIM to access some provider specific services. This application runs as intended.
The issue is in the title. I needed my sim card to display this info for various messaging apps , especially when. Doing group messages . Does anyone know how I can set my number to my sim? I am on French bouygues network. It worked just fine in T-Mobile in the USA.
Uodate- I got it fixed by going back to mm, installing xposed, using sim editor module, inputting number, went back to custom ROM on nougat without formatting data and storage(flashed proper vendor, radio, bootloader) and my number stuck !!!
Hi all, I just got it for 3 weeks now. So far I got some finding :
1. Mobile banking never send me sms verification, if I install both Sim card and set them on. It work if I only install one single Sim card in Sim card slot 1.
2. This make me look for double Sim setting, but I only find call default setting option. I don't find sms default setting or data default setting.
3. If I make a call, it always asking me which Sim card should I use. But I have set in the call default setting option for sim card 1.
4. In gaming experience (note: I use swipe as iPhone for navigation), jetpack joyride and zombie smasher cannot exit. Mortal combat (full screen mode) the screen turn all black but I still hear the sound and the app running.
Is there someone can help me, solve this.
51 persons read, but it seem no one have this experience.
If you have the Chinese AL00 version the posted [ROM][AL00] Mate 20 X GlobAL00ized beta [Debloated][Mostly Deodexed] rom will allow you to use Google Pay when you also have root. You'd have to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP (also has been posted), format phone (including internal storage), install rom and install Magisk for root. You need to hide Google Pay from Magisk (also may have to hide Google Services Framework) and mobile payment will work. As for selecting a sim to always make calls and not always ask, I have Settings->Wireless & networks->Dual SIM settings->Default calling SIM set to SIM 1 and my calls use that sim without asking. Then there's Settings->Wireless & networks->Dual SIM settings->Default mobile data with radio buttons to choose between SIM 1 & SIM 2 for mobile data. Hope this helps.
To get gestures working fully ie. Exiting out during full screen, enable the on screen navigation ball that lets you long press to toggle recent apps or short press + left or right to back out of an app. This works great for apps not fully compatible with full screen + gesture mode.

Thanks for your response, FYI mine is EVR-L29.
yes I did find the location of "Settings->Wireless & networks->Dual SIM settings->Default calling SIM set to SIM 1 and Settings->Wireless & networks->Dual SIM settings->Default mobile data with radio buttons to choose between SIM 1 & SIM 2 for mobile data" .
But still even I set the default calling is to Sim 1, when I make a call it always ask (chose to use Sim 1 or 2).
The default mobile data is working well.
For comparison in my cat s61 (android 6.0.1), I can find setting for preferred Sim. Options for cellular data, calls, and sms messages (this option I can't find in mate 20x & vital for m banking setting) .
And m banking is working well with this cat s61 even I install 2 Sim cards.
Have you tried factory reset? In some earlier threads (soon after the release of this phone) I vaugely remember ppl stating the first thing to do is a factory reset to fix some issues they were having. And that would be a good time to unlock the bootloader in order to gain root since a factory reset is required to unlock tge bootloader. Just a suggestion if you haven't done it already.

You don't have to root, it just allows for more control over your phone and only suggested to do it if you wanted cause a factory reset is required when unlocking the bootloader. At the very least I would performe the factory reset to see if that solves your issue and to get any available updates via Software update app.
Latest report, why mate 20x always asking which Sim to make a call even I set sim1 or 2 for calling? This is becos the third party app I installed error, I don't know why. But after I uninstall it. Mate 20x call a number never asking again.
But still my m banking only working if I plug only one Sim card (registered one) into sim card #1 tray.
SMS verification still can't be received if both sim card plugged in.
Is there anyone can help me solved this??
same problem with me , because i can only use mobile bangking if i choose default mobile data with the sim card that i registered from the bank , so i have to often to switch default mobile data everytime i want to use mobile banking , any suggestion so i can choose default sim card for message because it's seems that the phone are use default mobile data setting for default sim card for sending message.

you can use 2 sim card but you have to choose default mobile data with the sim card that you registered with m bangking , because the sms verification are sending message based on the sim card that you choose for the default mobile data.
I would like to delete my work phone and manage everything with my MiA2 but I realized I had always used it with my personal SIM inserted as SIM2 .. now .. if I wanted to use it in dual sim change something between using slot 1 and slot 2 for what I would like to be the main SIM? if I move the ever SIM from slot 1 to 2 Whatsapp I would be in crisis (I would lose the chat)?
you don't lose data when changing sim slots. but you have to change your mobile number in WhatsApp.
goto WhatsApp - settings - account - change number to do that
also: if your WhatsApp chat is really important to you, do a backup regularly. either with whatsapps google drive backup or manually backing up chatlog files from WhatsApp folder. check google for guide
