Hi Forumers,
I've just bought the t800.
After a couple of days I've tried to use the bluetooth and oddly it cant find anything.
I've made sure I've got a few bluetooth items on in the room, and my phone and laptop can find them but my Tablet cant.
But, my phone was able to find the tablet and the two paired that way.
But since my tablet cant find my bluetooth speaker, its a tad rubbish..
Any ideas on how to fix?
Thanks in advance
I have a Bluetooth speaker and sometimes I have to restart the speaker or forget the speaker in order to connect to it.I would suggest (on your tab s) going into the bluetooth setting and check, make device visable to other devices. Hope this helps.

okey dokey,
So Ive restarted my speaker, laptop phone and stereo bluetooth receiver, and nothing is showing to the tablet, so it seems not to be that.
the tablet is visible to my phone, so that part works.
but my tablet cant see anything.
Plan B?

Might try a factory reset. Right after I bought my T800 the wifi greyed out and refused to work. Did a reset and all was fine again.
Argh, I had just spent hours installing stuff.. but seems it may be the only answer!
Bu99er! :-/
Should I do anything special before a hard reset?

I wouldn't, but I never keep anything on my tablet of importance.
I brought the tablet to work so I could sort it out in work hours.
I was in the process of hitting the reset button and paused, and decided to try once more..
and now it works.
not sure what happened over night to make it work.. odd!?

Hey Guys, love the roms so far... But I've run into some problems. I loaded Josh's Hex Rom, and now currently the hardware buttons on the phone, (pickup/end/Softkeys) and the Audio is gone. I reloaded to the At&T Default ROM, and reloaded for another rom... However the AUDIO is still gone on BOTH AT&T and Josh's Winter ROM.
Any Ideas?
try installing s2p (slide2play) and see if its in headset mode...
I have also heard of the connector for the internal speaker getting disconnected after getting dropped.
Thanks for the input, I verified and could used the earphone so I took them out tapped the phone on the desk, and low and behold it works!
Thanks Guys
Hopefully that fixed it! But, if it does it again, it might be time to look into disassembling it to see if a connector came loose. I haven't had mine apart yet.
Well I fixed it, when I opened the phone up and the internal speaker was disconnected. However now is there a reason why my call buttons down't work (hardware ones)? or do I need to open the phone again?
it's possible you disconnected something else? I service copiers and have done that to myself before!
happened 3 times to me now: internal flat connecting to speaker disconnected.
Annoying. you have to open the hermes, luckily connector is not "far away". Easy to see and fix

I don't think so, this time I went all the way down to the keypad (LCD) and nothing was disconnected. However, some of the buttons periodically work. Which is strange. Anyways We'll see

Good luck! I'll be curious to know what happens.
I dread the day that I feel the need to open my hermes. I'll probably shed a tear, man I love this phone!
This is what I know as of now.... The buttons still do not work however the back light does. Which is strange... :S. Later today I will open my Hermes for the 4th time and see whats wrong with it. I will this time record a video and post it up so I can get more insight on whats wrong with the device...
Anyways
I'll post again soon!
Trying to help my sister fix her phone and would appreciate any help. Very familiar with the Vibrant but can't seem to find an answer to her problem. What the problem is is that one day a couple of weeks ago she plugged in her headphones to listen to music and now her phone is constantly showing that her headphones are plugged in still. She cannot hear who is calling her and they can't even hear her without the headphones plugged in. I've searched XDA and google and have not been able to even find someone who has had this problem before. I'm 99% sure she has tried a reboot and a battery pull to no avail. Thanks in advance for your help guys!
Really? Not one person has ever had this happen? Think maybe a factory reset? I mean, I'd hate to do it bur if Tmo is gonna do it anyway I guess it makes no difference to try, right?
if you can something probably got stuck you can use a q-tip to clean out, as well plug in headsphones, then turn the phone off and unplug the headset and turn phone on, last thing is do a factory reset, if root can do a nandroid and do wipe
When I try to turn on bluetooth, the icon and text indicates that the system is trying to turn it on. However, it never actually turns on and after a few minutes reverts to indicating that BT is shut off. This problem used to occur sporadically and sometimes seemed to be cured by rebooting. However it is now at the point that it just won't turn on no matter what. I did the requisite googling and found nothing very definitive. It looks like I may have to do an exchange on the unit but I would rather not go to the effort of unrooting this unit and rooting the replacement.
Any suggestions of things to try beyond what I have indicated above?

Are you using an experimental ROM or stock rooted?
Jedi Mind Trick XI (although the problem has been growing worse and has happened across the last several JMT versions). I will give a stock rooted ICS a try.
I just tried a stock rom and the problem persisted.
I have the same problem
I have scoured the net looking for an answer, any answer, to this problem. It seems that a few people are having the same issue. But before it is ever answered, some dip$#!t always jumps in and says "I have the same problem, my phone won't connect to my car." Then the conversation goes off into other people that can't connect their bluetooth to their car or their headset- or their cat... That is not the same problem!!!
I cannot turn my bluetooth on unless I soft reset the phone. Even after I've gotten the bluetooth working, if I restart my phone the bluetooth turns off and when you try to turn it on, it says "Turning on Bluetooth..." It cycles for about a minute and a half and then goes back to "To see devices, turn on Bluetooth."
I bought this phone on Amazon for what appeared (at the time) to be a reasonable price. Since then, I believe that I have read at least one of the seller's post about bluetooth not coming on (no proof, just an educated guess). The seller probably got rid of the phone because noone could or would give an answer to this problem. Heck, it's possible that every post that I've read so far is by someone who owned this phone at one point or another. :silly:
I am sending this post to XDA because even the adminstrators on android forums say that you guys are the smartest and most responsive forum available. (Okay, they didn't say smartest- it was implied). Please help me resolve this issue.
I rooted this phone the moment that I pulled it out of the box. In other words, I don't know if the bluetooth issue is caused by the root, or if the previous owner didn't root the phone and also couldn't get the bluetooth to work. I believe that, because the phone is rooted, I should be able to remove and reinstall the app that bluetooth is based upon.
I am not a techie, the only reason I know anything about root is because I was complaining to someone about my old phone and how all of the bloatware that seems to constantly run eventually kills my battery. He told me about rooting, and it was easy enough - the rest is history. In other words, if you ask me for more information- I promise that I can give it to you. Yet, have patience with me if I ask you a question that you believe that any person that has rooted their phone should know.
I really hope that you guys can help me without bricking my phone. I truly appreciate any suggestions or thoughts on this matter.

I may have figured out what is going on, although I can't understand why it is (maybe someone more versed with processes can help me figure this out).
Using Titanium Backup, I first froze the two bluetooth items (Bluetooth Share and Bluetooth Test). Of course, that didn't remove anything, but I wanted to make sure that I could. Then I wanted to see how Bluetooth Share would react without Bluetooth Test. I unfroze Bluetooth Share.
I was then able to turn on and off Bluetooth fine. I restarted the phone and Bluetooth came in just like it did on my old phone. I guess I want to know:
1) Is the Bluetooth Test the cause of my problem?
2) Why is it there?
3) If I uninstalled it, would I experience a major hiccup?
There is still the possibility that this was simply a fluke, and very soon I will go back to the old bluetooth soft reset problem.
There is, however, one distinct difference between this phone and the last and may be the "drop out" that everyone else seems to be having. I have a Chevy Malibu with bluetooth in the stereo. On my old phone, when I started the car and got going, the word "Bluetooth" would appear on the digital display for about 10 seconds, which means that the vehicle detected and connected the bluetooth pairing. Yesterday, as I was driving in the car, every 5 minutes or so, "Bluetooth" would appear on the digital display.
This leads me to the conclusion that Bluetooth is dropping out and being picked up continuously by my vehicle. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm okay with that as long as when I am talking to someone for more than 5 minutes I don't have to keep calling them back. I simply want to know what you guys think about this issue.

I am beginning to think that the problems I have had are related to the condition of the battery contacts.I have several third party batteries with contacts that are somewhat damaged from the pins on an external charger that came with them. I seem to experience a variety of problems when I try to use them.my original factory battery seems to work most of the time. I have several new Samsung batteries on order and will post again if they seem to solve the problem.

i had the same problem and it started with JMT so I switched roms countless times and the problem kept coming back. It would work for a little bit but when i turned it off it would not turn back on. I decided to go back to stock to see if the problem was still there and it was gone. Since then I have rerooted and once again flashing diff. rom every other day and bluetooth works just fine.
Well it seems no answer was found. I'm having the same issue as stated above. In my case, my bluetooth (custom ROM) keeps trying to turn on with the message "Turning On Bluetooth" until I soft reset the phone, after that it works fine.

Was having bluetooth crashes for months using CM 10.1 on a T989 (no custom kernels)
Would crash anytime I tried to connect to car BT audio, or would simply not start up.
Flashed this yesterday.... and no crashes!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174100
For flash: Wiped dalvik/cache, flashed, fix permissions, reboot, start BT, deleted all devices, re-add.
No BT crashing of any sort for 36 hours now.

Hey thanks! I switched to JMT JB4 and it's not happening (much) now, I'll try to flash it and see if it fixes something :good:
Just got a P600 4 days ago. Worked great till this morning. Turned it on and wifi was turned off. Tried to turn it on and it keeps sliding back to off position. The same for blue tooth. Tried a regular reset and factory reset. Neither helped. Couldn't find anything in the forums about this specific issue. Don't know what else to do.
Did you install anything? Root? What have you done to the device since you got it?

Installed TWRP from bigbiff's thread in the original development. Everything went well. Had not decided on a rom yet so I was waiting to flash. Wifi was working a couple of days after I installed the recovery.

Hi,
Did you find what the problem was in the end?
I am experiencing the same problem since one month now (12 June). The wifi doesn't switch on neither the bluetooth. The "led" remains light green forever...
I addressed the problem to the local customer support service (Italy) and got the response that they cannot do anything because my device was bought in US, neither if I paid them.
Since then I have rooted the device,
I did factory reset
Rooted the device
Erased some files that are suppose to solve the same problem in S4
Tried flashing various mods
removed and repluged the battery
Nothing helped.
I don't believe that it is a hardware problem as it occured all of a sudden without any reason (hitting or damaging the device). Unfortunately I am totally ignorant on android. Right now I am looking for a way to undestand at least if this is a hardware problem in order to give up and go buy a Ipad (at least you can pay them for fixing their own devices).....
In any case thanks in advance for any feedback you may have

I sent my P600 in about 3 weeks ago. According to the reciept that was sent back with it, they replaced the wifi / bluetooth component. It came back with all my data and accounts still set up on it so i do not think its a software issue. They didnt charge me for the repair but im in the US.
Hello guys,
Few weeks ago I started having the same issue. If I turned my wifi off for any reason whatsoever, I wasn't able to turn it on again. I searched a bunch of forums with people trying to figure out how to solve that same problem, but no real solution...well... there is the obvious one, sending the device to guarantee. Unfortunatly, in my case, that wasn't an option, so I decided to start some experiments of my own.
I was able to find a workaround, it's not a solution since the problem will appear again given the same circunstances.
Keep in mind that this worked for me, but I cannot tell for sure if it will work for you. Anyway, if you have this problem and guarantee it's not a option I would give it a try before starting to think about opening the device or even replace the rom.
The workaround is really simple:
1 - Go to the Connections menu in Settings (where you turn on/off the wifi, bluetooth, etc);
2 - Turn on Flight mode;
3 - Turn on Wifi/Bluetooth (depending on your problem, apparently they both seem to happen);
4 - Turn off Flight mode.
And it's done. As I said before, this works for me and I can't guarantee that it WILL work for you.

Hi,
yesterday while using the watch I got the message "shutting down". The battery was flat and after charging the watch got stuck on the four moving boot symbols. To cure this I have tried both software repair and update using the Experia companion. I have as well tried resetting to factory settings using the watch own recovery but all to no avail. Can anyone please help me how to proceed from here?

Did you ever get yours to fully boot to MM? I have since tried other methods and am still stuck on the 4 dots / symbols. LP still runs fine, but would like to get it to MM.
I did not unfortunately. Mine works fine on LL except for gestures. It does not update automaticly which is good, since MM gives four dots. Why it doesn't work beats me.
All the best

Same here. Thanks for the response. I was wondering if you somehow got it to work. I have tried a couple other ROMs to no avail. I'm quite sure if the experts had the watch, they could figure it out, but when theirs do not act like mine (ours), it may be hard for them to reproduce a fix. Anyway, LP works fine and does quite well with the battery also...so, it is fine.

Hmmm right now I believe my watch is fatally damaged. It rapidly loses power (100% to 0% in a couple of minutes) when connecting to the smartphone. I think my (perhaps your) problems arise from a physically damaged watch. I think the battery is damaged and perhaps also the HDD probably due to moist having entered the watch. My problem started after a swim.
Best of luck with your watch, I think mine goes to scrap

Oh, sorry to hear that. Right now, I can get a solid 2 days of battery life with just having bt and reviewing notifications. I hope it does not go your route, but thanks for the heads up. Several times I had to wait until mine fully discharged before I could get it going again when I was playing around with flashing files. Anyway, I figured I was sort of lucky not bricking in since I had no clue what I was doing. So, I have just decided to let it be for now and concede to running it on LP.
