probably a dumb question, but is it safe for me to install CM11 nightly on my rooted 4.1.2? I already have TWRP recovery installed. Any info would be greatly appreciated
Yes it's safe

Hello, I recently flashed TWRP onto my V with the toolkit in the sticky thread, however I can no longer install system updates, it just boots into TWRP. Can anybody advise me on what to do next?
Kind Regards.

system updated only work woth stock recovery. i think you can flash the stock recovery, take the update, then go back with twrp
Thanks for your help, but I decided to flash over a custom ROM anyway, which is already updated to 4.0.4 and sense 4.1
You realize there are much better versions of Android beyond 4.0.4 available for the one V don't you? Cm 10.1 is currently at 4.2.2 and the latest fully working PACman rom (v19.3) is at 4.1.2, just to name a couple.

Hi all,
I have 747M that is rooted with CWM recovery, factory ROM 4.1.1.
Will I lose root/cwm if I allow the update to go through?
Thanks
Heeter
UPDATE: I just gave up on using the factory rom, and install CM10.1 nightly
I have installed 4.1.2 and rooted it, but for the life of me I cant find a recovery to install, and without it I cannot go to CM11
Somebody help?

I have installed the latest nightly of cyanogenmod 11 now. Before i have the stock AT&T 4.4.2 rom.
To install the custom rom i have to flash the stock AT&T 4.1.2 rom, after that root that one, install freegee, install CWMR. And after that install the cyanogenmod rom from the recovery mode.}
To make the 4.1.2 rollback i used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302660
The method above is exactly what you need to do for a good deep sleep on custom kk ROM... If you don't like the custom kk ROM and want to try another one ...do process all over again with new ROM. Good luck

Hey guys ive gitten up to the point now where im rooted running cwms latest touch recovery. I need to upgrade my bootloader in order to flash any 4.3+ roms. Can someone help me with this process. Can I just flash the latest bootloader or can I flash a rooted 4.3 rom and flash the new bootloader after? Kinda stuck at the moment with the stock rooted 4.1.2 rom running latest cwm touch recovery.

I posted a link to help you in your other post
The link you posted leads to a rom thread. Is there something specific in there I should be looking for. The one you lead me to talks of downgrading not upgrading
