Well, I have a carbon fiber skinomi skin and its awesome. I've been using it for about 2 months now and I definately recomend skinomi. Not exactly easy to put on, but it does last, considering It's in my pocket all day with keys and what not. The screen protector that comes with the skin is fantastic! No scratches yet, and I know it would have definately been scratched by now if the screen protector wasn't there.
------------
Pros
------------
- Durable skins
- Won't peel
-Looks awesome!
------------
Cons
------------
- It was a little hard for me to put on, especially if you never did this before
- The skin doesn't cover every single inch of the phone, some pieces are a bit small
I found the fit was not what I expected it to be. The back is a nice material and it looks good, but the holes for the screw covers didn't line up all that well and I had to trim it down a smidge.
If I had it all to do over again, I'd buy the skin here:
http://www.gotshadeonline.com/products-page/tablets/viewsonic-g-tablet/
I've also ordered a MATTE screen protector since I couldn't stand the reflection!
I still didn't decided about the case, not even the screen protector, and I find it more difficult because most of you have the black phone and I can't tell how the case would look like on a white one. Should I go only for white? Was going for a ultra protective case but on second thought a solution would be a normal case not so thin like barely there and not so thick, medium for indoor use and for going out the flip style because it protects the screen better. But then again, you have more combinations available because black goes well with any other colour. Please gs2 white users post some pics and recommendations.

I bought this case for my GS2. It fits very nice, but the downside is that id adds a bit of thickness everywhere.. but i like it that way because the phone is much more comfortable to handle. Also I've ordered this screen protector from ebay. A friend of mine uses it on his iPhone 4 and it looks very nice (the protector, not the phone )
Thanks, that case looks OK, is a noname from hk? Gel or tpu? It offers some protection, link please. The screen protector is really cheap, so you didn't received it yet?

The case is from gel, but it's some kind of a hard gel and it offers a very good protection and gives you a good grip when holding the phone. It is a noname. I bought from a local store here in Bulgaria, so I'm sure that you'll be able to find similar in your country. The screen protectors haven't arrived yet because the shipping time to Bulgaria from anywhere is between 15-25 business days, and I ordered it a week ago.

can you give me the link for this case?
the case is good looking~
I have a black sgs2, BUT I can tell you one thing:
I really reccomend you buy a TPU case as it's very good (at least the one that I got) and protects the phone great.
I've bought this Case Mate 3 months ago. It was very nice, totally clear. It protects the chrome edge all around. You could put the phone screen face down on a flat surface. The screen would not been harmed in any way.
But after a few weeks the case was getting discolored. It's blue on the corners because of my jeans pocket. And the whole case is a little yellowish.

I'm using a black rubber case from Momax on a white GS2. I think the contrast adds a nice touch. The fit is slightly tight because I am using the official 2000 mah Samsung battery, but it looks very natural. Will post pics when I get home tonight!
what case did you end up with?
I currently have the Diztronic matte clear case on my white GSIII. As it is starting to yellow a bit I have began the hunt for a nice fitting white case. I really like the fit of the Diztronic case because it does not add much bulk, it covers all the edges of the screen (unlike the barely there cases) and it has the cutouts for the volume rocker and power buttons.
Ideally, if I can find a case exactly like this in white I'd be happy but it seems that cases these days are usually a mix of colors and you can't just find a good quality all white TPU case that fit the criteria above.
So I'm turning to you guys to post pics of the white case you have as well as your impressions of it and a link to where the case can be purchased.
Thanks for the help.
I don't have one to show you but I'm getting the PureGear Dualtek Extreme Shock case in white.

Great Case for the Galaxy s3. The case fits perfectly to the phone and is snug. It's very protective of the phone. The best thing is that I can now lay my phone face down and the glass doesn't touch.
Hey guys I'm looking if there's a screen protector that covers just the screen. I'm looking to order a matte black decal to cover the front of the phone around the screen to match my black UAG case (favorite case so far btw, its amazing!!! If you havent tried it your really should. 8th case is the charm? Lol). But right now I have the spigen curved screen protector on and I still want one when I put the from decal on just wondering what you guys would recommend. I'm a little hesitant to put a screen protector over the skin or vice versa. Or is there any skins that include a screen protector??
PS the curved screen protector works awesome with this case. You can't even tell there's one on there and there is no bubbling or edges being pushed up. I will post more about this in the UAG case forum when I get a chance to get some pics and stuff.

Best I can think of would be getting a universal screen protector. Downfall is they aren't going to be as good as the name brand protectors, but pretty much like the cheap generic china made protectors you get off of ebay.
Upside is they usually come with multiple (3-5) sheets that you can cut out your self. Otherwise I was unable to find exactly what your looking for (nor heard of any). Maybe someone else has though, wait and see.

Just though I'd share a pic of this beautiful skin. It has the most precise cuts of any skin I've owned. It's also very high quality. A lot of people have thought it was real wood! @Zephyr!

Edit: they now also offer custom logo inserts !
Amazing...! Gonna buy this..

It's worth every penny. Just don't forget to heat up the edges when applying.
What material is that , any link maybe ? Thanks!
The material is 3M vinyl and I'll add the link to OP.
I regret taking my one off, the bright red one I swapped it with it nice, but the wood is much better
I have that one, and the "Tiger Stripe" also..all "wood like" skins that dbrand offers, BUT..I prefer "Sticker Boy" skins, MANY more "wood like" skins, 15 total, I own eight of the Sticker Boy wood like skins and will add more to my collection soon..
Here is a link to a few of my cases with Sticker Boy skins..and the shipping is 2x faster the dbrand..
Here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60545497
Also see OP in the same thread..I have all my skins on a clear and gray slip on case, the skin will NOT stick well to the grippy, textured back shell, I use slip on (hard) gray and clear cases, apply the skin to the case, and can change phone theme daily..

Do the skins work well on the Sandstone back?
I have seen warnings from some skin vendors advising against use on the sandstone black cover.

I haven't personally had any trouble with mine sticking. But apparently other's have.
Yeah..Seems where alot are having trouble is when the devices is inserted in the pocket, and the skin collects dust, pocket lint and so on..I personally have never tried any skin placed on the factory back SandStone shell (the textured), I did install a skin onto the factory shell, but it seemed to me, not to be something longterm without a clear case over it, would peel off very easily, but I have not tested extensively the stickability of any skin, longterm on the SandStone textured shell..

I could see how that would be a problem over time. I have a gold aluminum bumper case on the way and once that gets here it'll cover the edges of the device and skin. Hopefully that'll help keep it on.

Yeh..great idea..I have a gold, and a black billet aluminum as you mentioned..One could also use a clear/transparent case, I have a few different models and works well, and protects, holds in place the skin..
Enjoy your 1+1 and skin..

I've had D-Brand Skin directly on the factory sandstone since December. Have slipped on and off various cases over the skin. For the last month, I've been using it without any case and carry it around in my front pocket and the edges are fine. No lift or dust. I suspect that it will last until I ever decide to peel it off. In fact I did have the small part around the camera lens covered with the skin as well and when I decided to remove it, it was quite difficult to get under the edge to remove that piece.
Thanks for the heads up, very intriguing indeed. Now I feel like picking up a carbon fiber white back with carbon fiber red logo for my silk white OPO. The prices are pretty reasonable too!

As far as the price/quality ratio goes dbrand is as good as it gets.

For the most part, your statement is true, but as an owner of many dbrand (8 or more) skins, and particularly the "wood like" skins, dbrand offers two options for the 1+1, and as an owner of (6 or more) StickerBoy skins, which offer 15 "wood like" skins, many more options and the quality/fit is just as good (or better) than dbrand, ALSO..shipping here in the U.S. is MUCH faster with StickerBoy..I also have a few Slick Wraps, but with my past Moto devices, particularly the 2014 Moto X, Second Edition, Slick Wrap skins where 99% of the time, to large overall, overlapping the frame of the device..
My point of view and opinion is, Sticker Boy has my overall vote, because I own many of each manufacturer..and can give an honest viewpoint..

I've got the carbon fibre one, with the camera and logo. What happened to my OPO is that the sandstone back started to wear off over time, so before I stuck my carbon skin on (also from Dbrand) I really wiped it and rubbed it so that it would come off as much as possible. After applying it, I heated the edges and did everything as shown on the official video and have fallen in love with it. It looks and feels fantastic! I've had it for over two months, no issues at all. It's literally become part of the phone, it doesn't feel cheap or feel like it's ever going to come off on its own.
Looks much better in real life, compared to the pictures.
