Do y know how can i download .kdz file from fastboot menu?
You gloriously earned a hard brick.
Yeah sorry for your loss.
I still cant understand why people just cant see the difference.
G2 = G3. NO
G3 = G3. YES
G2 = G2. YES
MAYBE ITS JUST ME BUT IM PRETTY G2 UNLOCK IS FOR G2 ONLY. NOT G3.
THATS WHY THERE IS G2 FORUM AND A G3 FORUM.
Edit: you dont have to hit thanks button
please hit thanks if i helped in any way. send from my g3 d852 beast

Hello guys , I just have a problems with my xperia arc s .
my phone doesn't work any 3g network and i know my area cover it and my sim card too i tried my sim card on other phone and it worked probably after searching i found the issue in my arc s rom so i tried to change to any other stock roms but nothing happened , tried to dial this code *#*#4636#*#* and make the network type automatic and 3g preferred but nothing happened as well .
so i decided to change my rom to any custom rom i tired the "xperia ultimate HD" & " Viper " but same problem so i tried to install miui and cyamond rom but i failed cuz i have locked bootloader, and i couldn't unlocked it.
i dialed this code *#*#service#*#* and bootloader unlocked allowed = yes .
so i tried the official method from unlocked sony website but every time its saying oem failed " I did put my phone in fast mode and the blue light appeared the cable was good cuz it said getvar = 0.3 "
note: i used only the first digits from my emei number and all drivers were installed"
i tried the s1tool method but it's not supporting my arc s it support just arc .
i tried to setool2 but every time it says "smart card not found"
i know the problem in my kernel so i couldn't change it cuz i have locked bootloader .
i just want either 3g network work or unlock my bootloder

Have you tried pc companion ? If you don't have unlock your bootloader i think you can restore the phone with it. After that, you could loose the root, but maybe 3g functionality could return to be ok.

Then you have only to try to unlock the bootloaader through Flashtools, deserves at least one more try . To do this, follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/issues/guide-beginners-how-to-unlock-t1971363
I recommend you read carefully!
If the procedure proves successful, you can flash a stok rom sony and try to see if everything is back to normal.

happened same 2 times with friend. (tried unlock bl) his fault was that he entered wrong imei. (i did it it worked) if u get the 0.3 outoput phone is connected fine:good: also you say that your that service menu says ''bootloader unlock allowed: YES'' so im pretty sure you just have entered a worng code. request a new one from sony & make sure you neter the right code.

sure no problem. but please request a 2nd key (no big deal) with the imei (check it to make sure its correct) like said all you say says theres no problem like for my friend just the unlock code seems wrong. thats why OEM failed... yes only 1st 14 didigits needed. anyway sony site will point you if you enter more tha 14 digites (or less)

So Sorry pal i did as you told me but it keeps saying same oem failed.
i'm on windows 7 should i change to Ubuntu or any Linux operating system .
can i ask for something else can anyone tell me how to fix the 3g problem instead of unlocking the bootloader and that was the major problem
Working on a G4 H815 5.0.1 un-rooted how can I pull its imei using adb or fastboot getvar ?
tried:
Code:
getprop gsm.baseband.imei
dumpsys iphonesubinfo
gsm.imei
ril.imei
ro.gsm.imei
but I get no output
using
Code:
adb shell services call iphonesubinfo 1
I get a long HEX and the imei but I dont know how to parse it using Batch commands
also on htc devices I know there is
Code:
fastboot getvar imei
but its not working on lg maybe there is an alternative ?
Hi,
I know you are asking the question about through ADB or Fastboot but you are aware you can get the IMEI number through the Settings, General, About phone, Status section?
Regards,
Ravi
Yes I know that, I just want to know how to do it programmaticly
Actually this is important to know because my locked bootloader LG G4 H815 is bricked. I need to unlock its bootloader (to flash TWRP custom recovery) but the unlocking procedure requires to enter the IMEI number.
My phone goes in to Download mode. So any one who can answer the question asked in the OP.
Update: I guess IMEI would also be written under the battery as well. I don't have the phone right now. Will check it out first.

Hold vol up+vol down+power, all three buttons, until display turns on and shows IMEI. Since you have non-removable battery, I guess you don't have LG G4, but you can try this method, it works on G4...

Maybe a stupid question..... but have you tried to refurbish with LGUP ? As long as it detects the phone LGUP should do the rest itself, or doesnt it? Have not bricked my LG before, but have bricked my sony device and as long as it got detected by the pc it always was fixable

I'm running an lg k10 from AT&T so far i have every tool from every thread about rooting this device. fast-boot does not recognize the the device but ADB does. when i use the command "adb reboot bootloader" the phone proceeds to do a normal boot. ive installed the latest drivers ive updated adb and sdk tools i have everything but the phone will not boot into fastboot mode so i can flash twrp
I'm in the same boat. Even worse, it seems nobody on this planet has an AT&T LG K425. Or if they do, none want it rooted.... So figuring out the process has been slow going for the AT&T variant.
Anybody else having this issue??
If not, do tell your solutions.
I bought this phone for my wife, since it had been rooted and there was at least a rom for it, little did I realise that the ATT flavor of this phone wasnt released untill 6 months after the rest of them, So we don't have the older flashes to root it. would really love for someone to chime in with some help here. What happened to dirty cow taking care of all this for us?
thanks

You can easily unlock your bootloader. Follow my bootloader unlock guide. There is a mistake in your adb reboot booloader command.

I think the problem is that the phone shipped with 6.0.1 and I'm unable to find any firmware for it other then that firmware.. I would be thrilled to be wrong though.

P.S.
Also patiently waiting for your Qualcomm K10 (and also common variant) root.
Been waiting for somebody to take the charge in the rooting process for this phone.
Thank you in advance ?
