[Q] Greenify not auto hibernating - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Was wondering if anyone could give me some info on why i cannot get greenify to auto hibernate, I tried rooted & not rooted with the same issue,
I have no problems hibernating them manually,

Have you tried searching, or asking in, this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155737
I'm afraid I have no idea. I've never had that problem.

was looking in it last post says has moved cant find the sub forum...it refers to

Go to greenify and click on the three dots on the bottom right corner. Select "Enable auto-hibernation".

Of course i have tried that....also there are no warnings or errors

If the app isn't telling you its not auto-hibernating then there is not a problem with the app.
That means the only other reason is because the service is being stopped or killed by something else.

In your settings > accessibility is greenify ticked within services?

@robalm that is not my problem had that at first but fixed it, everything is checked off , accessibility device admin, and the one to keep notification, got fed up so flashed back to stock this morning lol.my most recent thought was maybe the way i rooted it as i used stump root brute force

I had the same issue, going into settings>security>phone administrators then enabling greenify then rebooting fixed it for me. If you didn't already remove mcafee i would try removing it then trying again.
Also make sure you're using greenify 2.4 or earlier, some people have issues with auto hibernate on some devices with the newer versions of greenify.

@Amb669 it was enabled in admin i uninstalled mcafee, but as you mention it now i was using the newest from the play store 2.4.3 i believe, i will reroot debloat, and try a older version of greenify, any version you recommend ?

Problems solved rerooted, installed greenify 2.4 app auto updated, seems to be working fine now,,,, Thank you for the help

2.4.2 i had hibernate issues
2.4.1 i had hibernate issues
2.4 works perfect

Google drive won't get out of my blinkfeed.

Ever since I used an RUU to be able to take the latest update, drive won't stop asking me to take the 100 gbs. I've already redeemed the offer.

Go into settings app's and disable DriveActivator
There a solution to this that doesn't require root? I'm stock at the moment and disable is grayed out.

The disable button is greyed out for me too, but instead of renaming the APK or freezing with TB,
I found that just force closing the drive activator system app and clearing the data also got rid of the problem. This may be a solution for those that are not rooted.

I ended up just making another google account, setting it up on my phone, and then redeeming the drive offer with that. Problem solved!

Xposed Framework (LolliPop)

As I am well aware most of the regulars on these threads know xposed framework has fnally been implanted with ART. Unfortunely, as of right now it's not a simple install an APK, set SU access, go for gold. There have been a **** load of problems going on for a lot of people. Has anyone got xposed to work properly on their devices and how did you go about to doing it ? I already have SELinux set to permissive, but the log from xposed is reading something about modules.list.....

Working fine for me. I just followed the instructions they posted online. Flash the .zip, install the apk, and then install modules. I'm using a bootmanager, youtube adaway, and Pandora Patcher. I'm running BadBoyz latest Sprint Lollipop ROM.

Wat boot manager u using wen I install it loads then says I don't have closed installed and vloses but I do have installed, I'm using Pandora patcher and YouTube adaway fine
Just bootmanager. Click outside the not installed dialog. I read somewhere it works otherwise. I think it's working but really haven't messed with besides stopping a handful of apps.

snapchat login issue, rooted [m8ql]

hello mates,
yesterday i uninstalled snapchat. cause i got beta tester and i downloaded the beta. tried to login again but yeah.. see the picture
i rooted with unlocking bootloader, flashed twrp and rooted with supersu
i searched up the issue, some say you have to uninstall the xposed framework.. did not installed it first.
also tried it with installing xposed, installed the snappref module (what sometimes did work) but this also did not work.
installed it again but no positive progress.
the snapchat webside says that rooted phones may have issues.. i have rooted my phone now almost have an year and had never issues like that.
i just don't want to fully unroot and root again.
has anyone of you a idea? or is it possible to unroot the phone for some time? like in cyanogen mod, where you can unroot your phone in the dev options.
here the webside on the pic if u want to re-read it: https://support.snapchat.com/en-GB/a/failed-login

Well Snapchat detects if you have xposed installed or not at login. It works on rooted phones otherwise.
I would suggest, install your custom ROM again , login into snapchat and then install Xposed framework. that's what I do and snapchat works.
Maybe a sync issue ?
How to fix 'Snapchat login temporarily failed' error on Android

To manually sync your account
On your mobile device, open Settings Settings > Accounts > Google.
Touch the account whose data you want to sync.
In the top-right corner, touch menu More > Sync now.
After your Google Account is successfully synced, make sure that you have the latest version of Google Play Store and Snapchat app. To ensure this, update all your installed app under “My apps and game” on your Play Store account, then reinstall Snapchat to get the latest version of this app.

[REQ] Stable method of Snapchat installation with 7.1.1+ root.

Hello everyone, (yes I used the search bar)
I cannot seem to find an efficient method of installing Snapchat on a 7.1.1 OS that allows Snapchat to verified.
I would be thankful beyond measure if someone could point me in the right direction.
I am only asking because Viper4Android is so necessary that I cannot choose between the trade off of using Snapchat or V4A.
Regards,
ab
Iam using my Titanium Backup just fine
I am finding it difficult to find a proper tutorial as well. It seems though if I mess up the app installation, that I would have to go through the entire rooting process again....
Hello, you can simply unroot from SuperSu (or your root app), install Snapchat, and re-root.
I tried something, Titanium backup, app to hide the root status, but in the end I found that this is the simpliest thing... IMHO

Really? I've rooted like two months ago, unrooted, installed Snapchat and rooted again.
If it can help, I'm registered to Snapchat beta.

Did something change in 7.1.1.?
I went into SuperSU on a clean root install and clicked and disabled the 'Enable superuser", then installed Snapchat, logged in, and re-enabled the option.

App Installation Stuck on 9.0 System

Hi guys.
Searched the forum and google but did not find related discussions.
I and some of my friends updated our S9/S9+ to the 9.0 system and had this serious problem. App installation will be stuck during the process for individual apk file or from Samsung Store. Google store doesn't have this problem but many apps I use do not have the Google Store version.

}
Updating the app or installing a new app from apk or Samsung Store will be stuck forever on the 9.0 system.
I can't do factory reset now because too many important data and can't do backup for a long while.
Any thoughts? Thanks
Did you disable any app using eg. Package Disabler Pro?

I was asking, because I had exactly the same symptoms. Turned out that re-enabling the McAfee anti-virus solved all my issues with installing apps getting stuck.

Thanks! I should try this. I currently reset my phone the second time and it is just fine again. I may check that option the next time.

I checked the McAfee anti-virus thing, most of the stuck problem solved. But some apps like the Samsung Pay, Samsung Calculator, and some others will still be stuck during the installation, both from Samsung App Store and Google Play and individual apk files.
Disabling McAfee
I have tried everything. Turns out it was as simple as unfreezing McAfee. Thank you!
