Incoming Calls Are Silent When Phone on Vibrate - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This one has been bothering me for a while. When my phone is on vibrate, and I get an incoming call, the phone doesn't vibrate and while the call is ringing, the vibrate icon in the notification bar turns to the speaker with the line through it (silent mode). Once the call is answered or missed, it goes back to vibrate mode. This doesn't happen when the ringer is turned on. Anyone have any ideas? Texts, emails, Facebook, etc all vibrate fine. This just happens with calls. Rooted Verizon G3 with Tweaksbox

Have you got 'ring with vibrate' ticked in settings/sound?

It's grayed out for some reason?

Anyone have any ideas on this? Still cannot figure this one out

What are the settings under Vibrate strength?
Edit: The only way I can get that checkbox to be grayed out is to turn on quiet mode. Maybe the software is confused and thinks quiet mode is turned on. I'd try turning it on, changing a couple of settings, and then turn it back off. See if that gets the Ringtone with vibration checkbox active again.

Your setting says your ringtone is on "beep" try other ringtone... It might do thr trick

I know I am bumping an old post but has anyone figured this one out? 4 months later and still having the same issue

[Q] Vibrating Notifications

Ever since the 4.3 update, my phone vibrates for almost all notifications that are sent to my phone. This is annoying, especially because in the actual apps (such as twitter and facebook), i have the option set to not vibrate (yet it happens anyway). Anyone else having this issue?
Check System Volume settings.

My entire phone is set to vibrate.
Depending on how you are set up , those do override the application Settings. So turn that to sound for Notifications but put Ringer on vibrate.
You may have to separate Ringer and Notification volumes before you can do that.

I'm a little confused, can you give me some detailed instructions? I appreciate your help.
Go to Settings > Sound > Volume.
Post a screenshot of what you see.

Under Sound Settings, is there an option to convert Ringer or notification to Vibrate ?

[Q] No Earpiece Sounds on Calls, Ideas?

Hi all, as of a couple of days ago I'm getting no sound in my earpiece when I make or receive calls. There is also what seems to be a crossed-out waveform icon on the dialer screen as shown in the screenshot below. I never use headphones, and I've cleaned out the headphone socket. My music player plays through the speaker fine, and when I fished out some headphones the music plays through them fine, and back to the speaker when the headphones are unplugged. I've powered down the phone, removed the battery and rebooted.
Any ideas what else I can try, or does someone recognise the circled icon on the screenshot and know how to remove it?
Many thanks in advance, Warren

Hello, i think the icon is not the problem, if i recall right its a noise reduction or volume boost for calls not a bug or anything like that.. try to clean reflash your ROM and see if the problem is still there.. Make a backup first so in case nothing change you can revert easely
Its a Hardware Problem Buddy And that Sign is For turning the Noise reduction On and Off...

Pixel XL & Smartwatch Vibration

Guys, i have been using my smartwatch with Samsung S7Edge before getting Pixel XL. S7Edge was set on Vibration mode and whenever i would receive a notification, my smart watch would vibrate.
Now i have paired my smart watch with Pixel XL and it is set to Vibration (did it using the volume down key), but whenever i get a notification, it vibrates my smartwatch and Phone as well, and i don't want my phone to vibrate.....
I am sure it has something to do with the phone settings but don't know what. Any help here?
try turning your notificatin volume all the way down, then long hold the volume down button.
this will enable do not disturb mode, which will completely silent any notification, but your watch will still vibrate.
had to do this on my 5x running 7.0 and pebble time for the same reason
Is your smartwatch an Android wear one? If so there is an option in the Google Android wear app to mute notifications on the phone (including vibration), it basically totally mutes all notifications while you got an Android wear connected. There is no need to put the phone in vibrate or silent, it automatically does if you have that option enabled.

Does the notification come in eventually? What I've found with gv and email (aquamail imap for 2 accounts) is that depending on phone use, notifications will come through immediately or up to 2 minutes late on wifi. On mobile data, they come through right away. I think this delay is part of the power management profile on the 7t.

I did these. But when notification does not come
Same situation here.
Whenever I open whatsapp, it receives lots of messages, as if they were "stuck".
It seems as a power management issue, but I can't figure out how to fix it.

Question Muting sound of notifications to zero?

In Oneplus 5T running Android 10 with stock oxygen OS, I had the option of using volume slider popup to mute notification volume when I wanted to. But in OnePlus 9RT, I cannot do so. It forces me to use a minimum volume which is not zero. In order to tackle this, I have to go to app settings for every app specifically to temporarily change the sound to 'none' so that the notifications popup without making any sound. This is a very tedious process.
How can I enable the old style of using 'no sound' by moving down the volume slider?

Didn't you see the popup msg that tells you to use the slider to mute it?

I did not get any pop up message about it.
The plastic mute slider on the right side of the phone will turn the ringing of the phone calls to silent too which I don't want.
