Hi all,
I have a samsung tab 3 device and this is the second time in 6 months that it really struggles to swipe to unlock.
After getting it repaired under warranty last time it was fine but has started doing it again. It is very frustrating, especially because I'm a low user.
I've tried turning off device and this does not seem to solve the issue.
Occasionally it plays nice and works for 10 mins but then plays up again. Is there something I can do to easily repair this issue or
Should I take it back to samsung and get it fixed under warranty.
Or thirdly try and get a refund and buy another branded device ie ipad
Cheers for listening or reading
Sanga
When does this issue occur, only while screen is locked? What exactly do you mean by "struggles to swipe...?"

Hi,
For two days I have had a serious problem with my HTC P3300 Artemis:
There are actually 3 different things that happen:
1. The phone freezes while working. No idea what causes it. Happened at different occasions.
2. The phone doesn't wake up when I hit the wake-up-button.
3. Often while rebooting the screens whites out or whites out and gets green or purple vertical lines.
In each case only removing the battery helps.
I use Mossisrom as my OS.
Can anybody tell me how to fix the problem? Is it a hardware or software problem? Please help me!!!

I get the problem about waking up too. Sometimes it won't for a while. I leave it a couple of seconds and then try again which usually works.
Have you checked how much free internal memory you have. WM seems to still be very sensitive to low memory.
Hi,
I am rather sure that it's not a memory issue. The system freezes completely, not just for some seconds. I can't call the phone either. I think its either a SW or a HW problem and hoped, someone could tell me what to do.

I can only suggest resetting the ROM back to a standard one and seeing if you still get the problems. If you do, it is probably a hardware problem and you should get the phone replaced.
I had the exact same problem with my P3300. It's a malfunction in the Motherboard. I've called the dutch helpdesk and because a hard reset didn't do much good the PDA was picked up later that day to be sent to Eurotwice, the repair station in Belgium. I got my phone back 2 weeks later, I started it and it froze again! So I immediatly called HTC Netherlands and again, the P3300 was picked up by UPS that afternoon. The second time I wrote a letter to the repair station and sent it with my phone. In another topic on another website I read that some other phone with the same problem had been fixed by replacing the motherboard. I got my phone back today and it works great! It hasn't crashed today, and I have confidence it won't in the future. So my tip to you and anyone who experiences this problem: Call the HTC helpdesk in your country and ask them to sent your PDA to a repair station. It might take a while but they fix it well! By the way, you have 2 years full garantee so it didn't cost me anything! Great service from HTC!
Wow, you had a great experience from HTC . I didn't. I had the exact same problem as posted. HTC claimed I broke the phone myself and wanted to charge me. They claimed something broke behind the screen and that I must've pressed it too hard, despite the screen still being intact. After three months of phone calls to the UK and a lot of empty promises (promised to get a manager to call me back, never got them. promised to discuss with repair dept and call me back, never got them) I finally got my phone back , fixed. No explanation as to why they changed their mind. I had asked them to take a picture for me of what was broken and to how they came to the conclusion that I was the one who broke it. Maybe they were too lazy to do it.
Hi there,
My note 2 has started playing up since last month. Whenever i go to tunnel it will restart and now it will not even start sometimes. I have upgraded the OS and still the same. Now it has become more worst as the phone will start but the screen will not come on. However if I take out the battery and put it back in sometimes screen will come up and work fine with no issues.
Please tell me what's the issue. I have gone to Samsung and they said there is not water damage but they cant help me as my phone is overseas model and they do not cover international warranty.
Any help would be great..
Sam
Hi I have an unrooted Note 3 and have this weird issue which I am not able to reproduce. I would sincerely appreciate any help as I have to make up my mind soon If i have to go with Note 4 due to this issue.
Issue 1: Sometimes the whole phone freezes there is no way to get it back other than a battery pull, I dont know how or when it happens. It happens sometimes when I use the phone and sometimes when I put it to charging. Again I dont know when the freezing happens. For example I put my phone to charge last nite and i could hear the notifications before going to bed and in the morning i noticed that it is frozen and it did not charge at all. I had to pull the battery out and put it to charging again.
Issue 2: Random restarts was happening up until last month and it got fixed after a recent software update. I am not sure if it is going to happen again.
I would also like to inform that i broke my screen in April and Samsung fixed it. I am not sure if it could be because of this.
Also I am still under warranty and I can ask T-Mobile for a device replacement for $20, can anyone chime in as to the quality of the refurbs T-Mobile is giving. I did my research and I have note 4 with me that is fast approaching the return time. I like the Note 4 but I personally do not feel it is a significant upgrade over the 3 and I want to wait till Note 5 with an 810 chip on it so i can save some money.
Thanks,
Steve.
Keep it simple, go for the Tmobile refurb, these phones are sometimes just new repacked phones in refurb box. Besides you get new warranty.
Pp.
How do i get new warranty? They warranty the refurb only until the end of the original phhone warranty.
Samsung has a specific refurb warranty, I think 90 days.
Pp.
Oh okay I am kind of still doubtful, because I tried researching on the Web and it appears they had really bad qc on those refurbished ones and t-mobile charges 20 every time.
My wife's phone is having the same problems. She has a Verizon note 3. We have warranted the phone 3 times and no luck. It keeps happening. Would rooting the phone possibly fix the problem?
I've had my Note 3 for 6 months, migrated it to Lollipop 5.0.2 last month, and have never had a problem.
10 days ago, I picked up my phone from my nightstand. It had been on all night, and still had 85% power; so, this isn't an issue caused by the phone booting.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
The phone screen was locked in portrait mode...in the launcher and every single app. except for watching videos.
If I launched a video in Flixster, Amazon Prime, Netflix or xfinity streaming apps, it would switch to landscape. In addition, the behavior after I left the video was equally strange:
1) If I had 'Auto-Rotate' checked in Settings, the screen would stay locked in Landscape mode after I left the video. If I went into Settings and unchecked 'Auto-Rotate', the screen would immediately snap back to Portrait mode...but, would remain locked there, unless I launched another video
2) If 'Auto-Rotate' was not checked before I launched the video, then the screen would automatically snap back to Portrait mode after I left the video...but, would stay locked in that mode, unless I launched another video
REMEDIATION ATTEMPTS
1) I tried unchecking 'Auto-Rotate' rebooting the phone, and then checking it in Settings
2) I did the same thing; but, also removed the battery and SIM card before re-starting the phone
3) I did a Factory Reset
None of these things got the phone to work correctly
AFTERMATH WITH T-MOBILE
T-Mobile Support told me that they have never even heard of this kind of problem. They asked if the phone had been submerged, or exposed to extreme, prolonged humidity.
When I verified that neither was the case, they arranged to ship me a replacement Note 3. They made sure to tell me that they would do a physical inspection; and, if they found water damage would charge me full price for the replacement phone. Two days later, my phone started working fine, and hasn't had a problem since.
I told T-Mobile, and they said to wait for the full 7 day 'grace' period before deciding to send in my phone, or simply send back the replacement. I have 4 days left before I have to decide. Any thoughts on what the *#$&! is wrong with my phone?
Thanks, in advance!

I don't know what to say, other than that my rotation went screwy many months ago. I'm still running modded KK. I use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ui.robot.rotate

Hi guys, so I bought my Find 7a from oppostyle pretty much a few days after launch, and while I had several problems along the way due to terrible software and ROM flashing not working (touch screen wouldn't work with any ROM but Color OS), I still loved my phone for it was a beautiful and a powerful device.. Yesterday it started behaving really strange, it basically doesn't let me control anything, it randomly turns the screen off and on, closes apps by itself, starts messing with my home screen, just completely uncontrollable. It got to the point that I need to keep my phone off during lectures just to keep my screen from randomly turning on and I need the battery. I'm using the latest STABLE version of Color OS (which came out a good while ago). This just started suddenly happening yesterday and I can't use the device, simply can't. Every time I want to do something it just turns the screen off mid way and when I turn it on again it's on the home screen again. I'm a little pissed since my warranty ran out (1 year warranty) and the repair prices are way too high for a device that came out as one of the first smartphones made by OPPO.
I really need your help guys. Thank you for your attention.
Here's a video of the behaviour. It acts like this on recovery too so it must not be a software issue.
