Hello everybody,
Yesterday I replaced my LCD and Digitizer alltogether on my LG Optimus G (E975).
The repair looks like it went succesfully, but when the phone is booted up strange behaviour is noticed by me.
When I enable show key presses in the developers menu, the phone starts to show random key presses.
The strange thing is that these only appear to happen when I have pressed the power button and the "shutdown menu" is shown.
When I'm on the home screen nothing is happening, and also when typing messages everyting seems to be fine.
Do some people with experience in touch screen replacements have some ideas?
Greetings PsychoGame

My LG Nitro will boot up, but the touch screen is not functioning. The power button turns it on, the lock screen appears, and notifications pop up in the upper corner, but it will not react to any touch.
It happened a couple of times before but a few battery removals did the trick...not any more...
It will not unlock...What do I do?
I searched around and it doesn't seem like anyone else is having this problem. Thanks!
Did you try a factory data reset?

You might have a bad digitizer.
Hi I have a weird problem, was wondering if anyone else has experienced or knows how I can fix:
It is as if there is a line in the middle of the of the screen going up, from the home button, and pressing anywhere on this vertical line does not register.
The soft home button won't work at all. No problem with the back and multitasking buttons.
Also, the middle of the keyboard, above the home button also does not work. When trying to type an SMS, I cannot press G or V, instead it thinks by fat fingers want a key on either side of G or V. If I use my pinkie finger and specifically press G or V, it does not register at all.
This also means in the Sense UI it is also very difficult to get into the Apps screen as the button is directly on that vertical line.
I am still running stock ROM. I have tried a complete wipe, with no effect.
"Show Touches" is enabled, and it is definitely registering the touches that are just to the side of the imaginery centre vertical line.

Rooting probably won't help, my guess is that your digitizer is dead. I would recommend taking it back to the store and asking for a new one.
Hi,
I have a weird bug with the touchpad of my phone.
It stops working after unlocking the locked screen.
Ok, here is what happens:
I dropped my galaxy W on the road, then someone drove over it...
After this accident, the LCD screen as well as the glass broke but the phone could still start and was ringing when called.
I decided to take my chance and bought the parts to fix it. I have changed the digitizer and the LCD screen.
The phone boots just fine.
I am able to swipe to unlock the phone and access the home screen.
However, once I access the home screen, the touchpad doesn't respond anymore! Volume buttons, home button and power buttons are still working fine. Options and return button are not working too.
I am even able to access my missed calls from the locked screen if I press on the missed call button directly on the locked screen.
I have tried to access the recovery mode. By pressing volume up+home+power, I can access it, but I then need to press onto the "options" button which is not answering. I am stuck again.
I have also tried to access the downloading mode. I can access the "warming!" menu (with explainations about the dangers related to custom OS), but the phone stops answering after that. I press the volume button up or down nothing happens.
Is it a software issue or a hardware issue (related to the motherboard?)
Thanks for you help.
liquid can be contacted. Odin or try the setup ..:good:
Hello,
I have a problem with a family member's HTC 10. Today their phone somehow got stuck with a black unresponsive screen, as if the LCD and the touch matrix (sp?) were both dead. It wouldn't restart after pressing on/off + volume button (tried with both volume buttons alternately). When pressing home, the back button and the other one would light up as usual, but it didn't turn on the phone, and neither did the on/off button.
The on/off button seemed kinda stuck halfway, and it usually has a smaller press/unpress "distance" than the one on my own HTC 10, so I'm guessing it was due to a stuck button. Said family member loves taking screenshots and complains that the button works poorly.
Is this a stuck button problem? Is this fixable or should we throw away the phone and buy a new one? The phone started working normally on its own after a few hours, but obviously this is something that needs to be fixed.
Thanks for reading, any help will be much appreciated!
Edit: It was all hardware problems, ended up taking it to the shop and getting parts replaced, works fine now.
Hi, I just received an LG G Pad 8.3 V500 but the touch screen isn't responding. I've noticed that if I swipe from the bottom to the menu buttons (home, back, menu) they actually work, but none of the rest of the device is responding. Does anyone knows something about this issue and how to fix it? I don't know the condition of the tablet, but it doesn't have any crack or something noticeable at first sight. Thank you.
