Just need a quick simple answer before i complete this. Is adhesive needed on the new screen needed when replacing a cracked one? If so what is suggested?

Recently, I'm been having problems with my phone in that the screen wasn't turning on. All I had to do was press the power b utton and re-awaken the screen, but now I can't. The odd part is that I can press on the screen and hear/feel the icons and apps being pressed. Any ideas?
more than likely the lcd has gone bad or the main flex cable

Well whatever it was, a good hard smack on the screen fixed it. (It pissed me off.)

How much would it cost to replace either of those parts?
Sent from my Desire Z using xda app-developers app
google it, ebay seems to have lcds ~20$ and flex ~35$
if wacking it fixes it then it could just be a loose connection and no parts needed, maybe open it up and check

Seeing as how my screen working is sporadic, could you be the best person ever and link me to a guide for tearing my phone apart?

I have apparently a dust particle inside the camera lens. Any ideas how to remove it without taking the phone to the repair centre?

You can atremp to disamble it to clean it. Note lenses and outer frame around the screen is terrible for getting dust in it. I normally disamble my phones every 6 months and give it a clean throughout.

I'm afraid the only way is to dissemble it.

Hi guys! Its my first time posting but I've been a member for a while. Anyway, to make a long story short, half of my S-Pen is stuck inside the phone. (The nib part) The other half is out. Any ideas on how to get it out? Thanks in advance!

I read it requires a piece of paper. Look it up online and you'll find it...I went and found it...http://www.sammobile.com/2015/08/29...-5s-s-pen-backwards-heres-how-you-can-fix-it/

Look up the drinking straw method too. I used that when I accidently put mine in the wrong way. Paper was too flimsy for me to get that to work. All functionality retained. Just don't pull too hard or fast.

Oh ok thanks! The S-Pen isn't in backwards. Its in the proper way but its just broken in half with half still inside. But i will try the paper and straw methods. I tried tweeezers but they were too big lol.

I was listening to music and my headphone wire got caught on a door handle. And it dragged the phone out of my pocket and the phone fell. Its crazy becuase the pen was tucked away. Btw the paper or straw method didnt work so im gonna get it repaired.

I had this same issue with mine. Back of the pen (the end with the clicking mechanism) randomly fell off the rest of the pen while it was still tucked away in the phone. Sent it to Samsung for repair and they fixed it for free and also replaced my screen for some reason. I should be getting it back today.

Really? They fix it for free? I was just about to go get it fixed at a local shop.

Yup they took out the broken pen and sent it back with a brand new pen and screen. All free including 2nd day air shipping both ways.
