May I ask why you suspect a drain, like how long does it last and also what's wrong with the built-in bat-stat?
My biggest recommendation is to avoid DL'n every single app and keep it to a minimum.
Mine last roughly 2days with a screen time of 3-4h without charging (was away a weekend recently and took my chances and left the charger at home, used the camera alot incl. 4k shooting and alot of music videos playing and made all the way home with 1 percent )
Best phone in terms of battery I've come across yet.
on the stock rom and kernel?
Hello, what's your android version and firmware build number? I would like to use it because i'm on 4.4.4 build 14.4.A.0.108 and I'm experiencing fast battery drain.

Changing ROM will not help in most cases if you won't discover what is eating battery.
I am on the same above ROM and kernel and I don't complain.
Term 'fast' is not much precise, either.
BTW:
1.3%/h is pretty reasonable if phone was in use from time to time.
Base rule with BBS is to check batery over night, when it is not used at all.
Under those circumstances you should see 0.1-03%/h and that is completely fine.

As always - check that all automatic synchronizations are off.
google, pictures, facebook, whatsapp.
Hope you don't use WiFi all the time, nor you scan for available networks.
BetterBatteryStats is really helpful, read corresponging thread.

i dont think using wifi and auto sync will drain my battery from 60% to 6% in just a second. Anyway, i ordered a replacement battery from witrigs. Hope this fixes my problem. Ive tried factory resets and repair through pc companion. still no improvement. Turning stamina mode improves my battery. It no longer drops 50% in a second, just 10%. Still way too low compared to my excellent battery life with kitkat. Before lollipop, i charge my phone every 2 days with heavy use. Now, i need to charge it twice a day with moderate use.

If so - I'd come back to KK before replacing battery, if for no other reason then to prove LP is guilty.
BTW:
Long ago I decided not to upgrade to LP.
Looks like evey step ahead is in real life step back.
Everything is more complicated, wants more maintenance, yet works worse than old simple tools.

Worst fears realised.
The Kit Kat update has delivered drastically worse battery life.
Could often work with 10% per 45 min - 1 hr screen time before on WIFI, that has now gone out of the window.
1 hr 44 min screen time with 68% left now.
That is quite a bit worse I would say.
Anyone else feel the same?
I would rollback, but the camera improvements are just so much better.

I had about 5 hr screen time and almost 2 days of usage. I am using stamina and greenify though since I don't need emails and notifications pushed, I just manually refresh it.
Nope, I just managed 7.5 hours OST on my last charge on WiFi without Stamina Mode, so quite a bit better for me than JB where 5/6 was more usual. Standby power is also noticeably better, averaging ~0.4%/h.
Sadly the KitKat changes make most battery stat apps useless without root now, or I'd suggest you run one to see what's up on your end.

Cant find anything that stands out. Going to drain and do a charge from fresh.
Did anyone try to calibrate the battery after flashing?
Calibrating battery gives exact battery reading.
There is no real calibration in android and for everybody pls alow 3-4 full charges before reporting your battery life on kitkat(same when flashing new kernel)

This is obviously a sign of some rogue process running intensively (compare performance after booting in safe mode to confirm). You should be able to figure out pretty easily which it is from the basic battery stats page, sadly no partial wakeleock listings anymore on non-rooted phones though.

I have done factory reset>>installed 4.4.2 via PC companion>>full factory reset incl internal storage.. heating problem is somewhat solved.
But it gets heated up when connected to charger..which on JB doesn't happened!! strange..
Draining seems to be normal but takes too much time to charge..
I got a great battery life on kitkat.

First day? You might try a couple of charges before hiding it. It's not terrible. About 4 hours of screen on in 21 hours is not that bad for first charge.
I notice from the screenshot that your 4G reception is pretty poor (only 1 bar). The radio is by far, the biggest drainer of battery life. So that being considered, your battery life isn't bad.

It's going to be more efficient on Wifi. Low signal won't do much, but when it has to constantly search it drains fast.
Here's mine, had it since April 1st and the battery has been consistent.
Doesn't my held awake time seem high? It's higher then my screen on time all I did on the phone today was text, go on Facebook on and off and browse the Web a bit

I have the same problem with my New M8 which I just bought 2 weeks ago.
My situation is the fully charged battery will drain out 20% of power after 6hours sleep. I am pretty sure I turned off all apps before going to bed.

Battery savings can be had by making sure the display brightness is set to auto. Tbh your battery drain looks normal. There's loads of stuff going on the background when WiFi is on. You can cut some of it down by turning WiFi off when you don't need it and going to your account settings and unchecking some of the sync items you don't need.
I find the battery life suprisingly good considering how long I have the screen on sometimes. I've had full days out of it with constant use . Normal use I'll get 2 days easy.
Also I find this the best battery monitor app. The easy to read timeline graph shows exactly when and where the drain is. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...edium=organic&utm_term=battery+monitor+widget

I loaded the 5.0 factory image last week and my battery usage has been awful since. I am 100% stock. No root or mods at all.
Yesterday I took my fully charged N7 off the charger about noon. I hardly used it. Sent 3 emails and checked football scores a few times. 10 minutes use max. 95% of the time it was sitting with the screen off. By midnight it was almost dead. I have wifi off during sleep. This morning it's been off the charger for 2 hours and is down 20%. I have not used it at all other than to check the battery. Previously it would last 2-3 days between charges with light use. Not seeing anything standing out as using excessive amount of battery. Android System uses the most at 17%

I know there was a wifi bug but I thought that was fixed prior to the release of the factory images. Strange thing is I have run all the L previews and currently a pre image release of a 5.0 AOSP rom on my N5 and I've had no issues at all.
Anyone else seeing this or have any suggestions?
I been looking for a thread like this. Coming from 4.4.4 all stock battery was great, I don't have any statistics but moving from 4.4.4 to 5.0 still stock no-root, the device gets really warm and battery drop isn't very comforting.
I hear the nexus 9 also gets very warm, must be a 5.0 bug.
5.0 with NRT Sideload update and no issue with battery nor wifi. I loose max 1% by hour in the night ! As I have a little use I can keep it during 3 days without charge !

I was on XDABBED's rooted stock-image, the battery usage was as bad as the OP's situation.
Since then, I moved to XDABBED's latest AOSP release ... the battery usage has been GREAT.
Also on stock and I can confirm that the battery is worse.
Previously on stock 4.4.4 I had calculated that 10% battery can get me through one day or one hour SOT.
After flashing factory image I can confirm that the most I can manage is 4-5 hours SOT in two days.
That's 30-40% higher battery consumption.
why don't you download an App Ops tool from google play store
and deactivate any location service.
Currently, there are not that many app ops tool that can support lollipop.
One from Lars Team works on Lollipop, so I am using that.
For me, google play service was using extensive amount of power for location search,
and after I turned down location search capability of google play service, the power drainage stopped.
Same Issue
Yes I am also facing the same problem. Terrible battery time. I charged my Tablet yesterday and pulled it out at 100% at 10pm. I put it on Airplane mode and went to sleep. When I woke up today at 6am the battery was showing 70%. It ate 30% at night doing what? I am very disappointed. On Kitkat 4.4.4 I never had such terrible battery performance. I am going to try it out today again and ensure that all apps are closed. Lets see what the performance will be like. Will update tomorrow.
I loaded Battery Batter Stats last night and left unplugged overnight so that I could check for partial wake-locks this morning. Unfortunately the battery was completely dead when I woke up. I put it on the charger when I left for work so I can check tonight.

This was a good advice I must admit [emoji4]
I installed App Ops and noticed huge Location usage from Android System. After I disabled this the battery drain is a lot smaller. Not as good ad KK but very tolerable.
Also noticed that my video player, Archos, is using more power on Lollipop that before. I use it same or less than on KK but it drains the battery a lot more and is always at the top in battery usage.
Hello,
I want to get this smartwatch but is the drain as bad as everyone suggests? Is it fixed?

I get 2.5 days battery life on average. Had sudden drain twice since I have it. That's OK with me considering a recharge is done in under an hour and the watch is far less important than my phone.
In my experience with smartwatches like smartphones or any other computer it is helpful to reboot it once in a while. I do that after every two or three charge cycles.
There are so many factors that play into battery life or that might even drain the battery. As far as I can see there doesn't seem to be a specific thing that can be held responsible for the bad experience some people have with the sw3. I don't think there is anything wrong with the watch just bad luck and an unfortunate combination of circumstances for some users.

I also get 2.5 days on average, anyway sw3 is about to get Android wear 1.4(Android 6.0) and possibly all battery problems will be gone.
I have : SW3, LG-G, LG-R and a Gear2 with Wear Mode. SW3 is the only wich can drain battery from 50% to 4% in 2H. Exactly same app and same use case for the 4 watch.
drain issue hasn't been fixed, but a workaround I do that seems to stabilize it is to restart after charging. Haven't had a bad drain since.

I got mine on Friday, and was ready to send it back to Amazon by Sunday because of the battery drain,
However, after reading the posts on here about restarting after a full charge, it does seem better. It's still a problem that need fixing, but this workaround certainly helps.
i have no sudden drain problem at all, i get about 2,5 days with average use. I'm running latest stock unmodified LCA43 firmware
No drain here. Easy 2 days of battery per charge
I don't think it is an issue anymore.
Mine hasn't drained for a while but it did today. Went from about 50% to 10% in about an hour or two. ?
Had also the battery drain in the beginning (bought it maybe 10 month ago). Restarting after fully recharged helped...till yesterday. I've the same behaviour like user dersie & Sparksltd, suddenly it drops from 50% to 0 within 2h again.

It's definitely still a problem for me - seems that unless I do a restart after charging I get the drain issue after every third charge and the watch goes from 100% to dead in about 7 hours whereas on a 'normal' day I would expect to use around 40% in an entire day which equates to the 2.5 days use some users are reporting.

I did get a big drain back in December of 2015 along with everyone else, but looking back I think that drain was (or may have been) caused by the OTA update of the Android Wear OS - not the old drain issue. And except for that I haven't had one in months. I am very sorry to see that you and so many other SWR50 owners are still having problems with this.
Bought this watch two weeks ago and it's rock solid. No drain at all, it easily lasts for 2 days of usage.
I tend to switch mine off over night, I have noticed that from time to time despite being switched off it drains the battery. Has anyone got same issue ?

I can agree with draining but not with the heat honestly. Since I just do social media often.
I have seen a few reports that Android Auto started working for some users with the Feb update.
Can't say that I've noticed poor battery performance, but that's not to say that it isn't legit.
Overall, feels like the same device I had running the January image, nothing says WOW...
Actually for me, the battery has been better.
I think so Battery its better with the update on My pixel..
The biggest thing for me was the bluetooth connection in may car. I have an LG Watch sport connected to my phone all the time. Before the update, it was like the watch didn't want to let go of the phone, and it would not automatically connect to the car when I got in. I would have to go into the phone, and manually select the car to connect. Then I would have to wait a minute or more before I could play music or make a phone call or the car would tell me it was searching for a phone to connect to, even though the BT light was on indicating a device was connected. The first time I got in my car, after flashing the February update, after I started the car, my phone immediately connected to the car, and Android Auto fired up just like it is supposed to. I was able to listen to music, and make phone calls right away. It has happened like that ever since. I'm so very happy that it works like it's supposed to now. As for battery, it's still great. My 2 XL has always had killer battery life. I can go about a day and a half on one charge. A couple weeks ago, I took a Friday off from work, and was busy moving, so I didn't use my phone a whole lot. I took it off the charge on Friday morning about 8:00 am, and I didn't have to charge it until Sunday around lunch time.
Okay, I'll keep watching my battery... Maybe it was a random temporary decline... Your experiences sound good
When I do these updates, I usually clear the cache for Play services and Google services framework. Maybe it's the flashaholic side of me that always wants to clean flash everything...
Hmmm, I will try now from 100-20%~
Have you guys tried recalibrating the battery? Since a lot of these battery issues people complain about are right after updates. Haven't updated to Feb patch yet tho so I can't comment on battery life.
Just tried 100 to 3% and I would say its been better, Usually I barley came up to 6h and now its 6h and 44 min!
Here below is my apps:
I think battery is excellent, if it wasn't for Maps I know I can get more out of it:
