Hi, I've been wondering, does Xperia M/MD have a diag mode? And if yes, how to activate it? Thank you. What I really mean is Diagnostic mode, not *#*#SERVICE#*#*. Thanks. :crying:
Nope. It doesn't have one.

I'm trying to access and change the diagnostic info for this phone, but none of the Samsung codes from other phones and versions of Nexus seem to work. Does anyone have this? Or does a diag mode even exist for this phone?
I'm still trying to access the phoneutil/diag mode on this. Anyone have any ideas? I have one with me if anyone would like me to try anything.

HEY guys I have the note n900t. I am trying to get the Diag mode to work. I tried ##3424# and *#7284#. I have stock rooted 4.3. Does anyone know what rom, and a link please, I need for Diag mode?
Also does anyone have the script to get the msl as well. Yes I know it's gsm but Im pretty sure it's going to prompt me for that as well. I bought a note 3 with imei issues and would like to fix it.
Thank You

because you lost your imei, and your baseband.
check and see.
have you tried to unlock or change the imei?
No, I've never messed with it. Even my wife's note 3 does the same.

I see the same screen just says diag config and nothing. I'm on the CNB4 firmware still though. I upgraded to the DNE6 but realized too late that I wouldn't be rooted and couldn't find a root solution quick enough so I just restored a backup via TWRP. Yes it does work, I have seen skepticism in the forums about TWRP Restores.
OP As for wanting help reaching the DIAG Menu, what Diagnostic are you trying to get to? You may want to visit this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2754957 About the hidden service menu. They list alot of dial codes that you may could use to accomplish your task.

What specifically are you trying to get a diagnostic of? Do you want the screen that allows you to do all the hardware tests? Do you want the menus that allow you to change internal settings? Which diag menu / mode are you trying to reach?
in older firmwares i used prolauncher or shortcutmaker and create an activity with FACTORY MODE ...but now with the 4.4.2 update when i create the FACTORY MODE shortcut and press it ....it says "application not installed"...so anyone know how to put in diag mode??...thanks a lot

OK. Done with the programming end. How can one disable the Hands Free Activation? I thought after programming new network parameters the activation will disappear. I know a way of deleting/renaming the activation apk but I don't want to root this device; it's for resale.
So i have gone into the about section and tapped the build number many times, had the message saying im a developer etc
There is no menu, or at least i cant see one, I assume it should appear in the general tab under the heading system?
If i press build number again it just tells me No need, developer mode has been enabled.
I have rebooted the tablet
Any suggestions?
Android version 4.4.2
Baseband T705XXU1ANF7
kERNAL 3.4.39-2293707
Build number KOT49H.T705XXU1ANG2
Anyone?

I have no idea then. What country is this tablet from? I dont even think a factory reset will do it.
UK, it's a 4G+wifi model. Got me pickled to, did a factory reset and nothing.

Hey mate. It worked without usb debugging.
I always thought usb debugging was needed as every guide mentions it.

Thanks for quick response, Where did you find a guide to root. Cheers..
Just put root and Odin into a search term. Something should come up.
USB debugging is only needed in the operating system. It has zero effect and not needed in recovery or Odin mode.

The drivers should work, other people said they do. What probably you are not able to do is put the phone in Diagnostic mode.
Maybe with with, but it is not sure
Is this the way to put the phone in Diagnostic mode ?
call *#36446337# and it then opens a "EngineerMode" In
Or this?
Direct access *#268#

Thank you.
I'm sorry I'm poor in English.
I set my phone cm13 and type this one " setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb"
If cm13 is the problem, I'll try with oxygen rom.

NO is not,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67470602&postcount=2
If you switch a device into a hybrid mode like "diag, adb" it will dish out a new custom product id over the usb interface, one that combines both devices into one new one.
There are however no fitting diag drivers that match that product id.
If you want diag to work properly, switch your phone into single-diag mode by executing setprop sys.usb.config diag via a rooted terminal emulator from the phone itself, rather than doing it via an adb shell from a computer.
This will result in the proper diag product id being reported to your computer, allowing you to install the right driver.
As for the driver download, a simple google search will yield you the results.
Just search for "Qualcomm Diag Driver x64".
Edit: Oh one more thing... last time I checked I couldn't find a properly signed Diag driver for 64bit systems...
You will probably have to boot your computer smashing the F8 key repeatedly, and picking "disable driver signature enforcement" from the boot menu to temporarily disable the driver signature check, allowing you to install and use the Diag driver.
