I was hoping someone can help me figure out how to disable these or disable and install the ones I downloaded that are the android l boot animations?
Mime is an Australian version and the boot and shutdown animations are located in /data/.op/opt_au/

the files are under system/media. you can download and put new files there, as long as they are names the same then new animations will work fine

The Sprint Boot Animations are in carrier/cust/poweroff and /poweron. If you messed with /system/media you deleted stock LG animations not Sprint.

To get rid of the Sprint animations delete them from /poweron and /poweroff. Dont overwrite them with something else, just delete them and use /system/media for any custom or stock LG animations. Hope this helped.

yes you helped greatly just disabled the stock sprint animations now when i shutdown it doesnt do the lg animation which is fine because i want to get rid of them as well but the start up lg plays anyway to disable that one
rwrr are the permissions and any animations that are still playing are in system/media unless you're talking about the splash screen(the lg screen before the boot animation) in which case thats part of the kernel and not able to change.

How do you change the "Sprint" carrier name on the lock screen and pull down menu? Search and read various threads but none seems to work with JB 4.1.1. The instructions/codes does not match any of the .xml files in SystemUI. As stated above, I am a noobie so any help would be greatly appreicated or even pointing me to the right post/thread.
Searched and found nothing? ...ya you're right, it doesn't work on 4.1.1 There is ABSOLUTELY no way that it can be done. Ever. In all eternity.

have you tried just inserting/pasting yours, or any custom eri yet? Just to see if it works?
If you are running a stock based rom, the eri feature may not be in it...yet...
save time and effort and use The Peoples Rom or FreeGS3, both have the feature and are good stock based custom roms

fiy eri.xml isn't on stock roms. You can download it and put it in /data. There is also another instance under /system/build.prop you should change.

Can somebody please me where I can get the JB boot animation which will work on PA2.99. I like it very much, after searching I found one in myONE RC8 section but not sure whether it would work or not in PA. I just downloaded the update zip from there and found framework-res.apk instead of boot animation.zip, and so bit scared to try. Can anybody please confirm me this or help e to find the Jb boot animation for PA.
Sent from my One V
U need to download full rom and extract it from there.... update.zip has nothing to do with bootanimation i suppose.... and it will work on PA.... jst rename it to bootanimation.zip and set permissions...!!!!
Even I was expecting something like bootanimation.zip but instead found the framework-res.apk
Not sure if android 4+ version integrated the boot animation with framework-res.apk file
Can anybody please post the working Jb boot animation on PA please.

Just a note the LG power off sound doesn't seam to work on stock AT&T Rom.
You will have to delete the AT&T or LG off the front of the name before you place them in there correct folders. And set permissions to -rw-r-r-.
The boot & shut down animations go in the system/media folder
And the start up and shut down sounds go in the system/media/audio/ui folder.
Feel free to add any files you may have that others might need or want...

not working... on my phone either no shutdown with any poweroff.ogg file i try i went as far as flashing the original tot file for att and even the panama e980h kdz and still not playing... it has to do with how the internal sd card erases the file you replaced it is still there but not readable and when you paste a new one it won't read them because both of them exist there.

when I play poweroff.ogg, it plays fine from the BSplayer. it just does not work when u use it as sound for shutdown. I think Emannuel2000 was on to something in what he said previously. Because I am using the rooted stock ATT e980 without the ota update and I never had any shutdown sounds since I bought my phone I think. there was a old poweroff.ogg in the ui directory but it obviously never worked. I think maybe the only reason that you have Sound on shutdown is because u are using a non-stock rom. what u think?

This mod enables the earspeaker to act as the second speaker in combination with the main bottom firing speaker.
This mod is tested on the B379 firmware on the VTR-L09. The difference is not night and day in my opinion but try it yourself.
It's not completely tweaked yet but it works.
Module is made for magisk 17 and higher.
Download is in the attachment.

That's weird, I don't face those issues. Try to check its permissions if it's rw r r(644) in /odm/etc/audio/hi6403/mixer_volumes_VICTORIA_ce.xml
You can use the terminal to chmod 644 /odm/etc/audio/hi6403/mixer_volumes_VICTORIA_ce.xml
Or use root browser. If those things don't work try to replace the file with a copy of /odm/etc/audio/hi6403/mixer_volumes_VICTORIA_normal.xml. Can't make a flashable zip right now, still odd behavior.
