I am trying to use the RUU to get my T-Mobile HTC One M8 back to stock.
I run the exe on my computer and it gets to the license agreement page and when I hit next nothing happens!
All that happens is the program exits.....bye bye....no more........
PLEASE HELP!!!

ok I am trying to upgrade my Wing with the Touch it 2.3 rom. I follow the instructions and install the ASerg_Policies.CAB and restart my device. then i connect it to activesync 4.5 as a guest and proceed to running the UPGRADE_ROM.bat file. now when that runs i get the timestamp of when it starts, then in initializes then the next line says
" the system cannot execute the specified program"
in about 6-7 lines then it says "
Writing the new AKU OS ROM the system cannot execute the specified program."
Then in proceeds to copying the file the it stays there after that for like a half hour till in just cancel it. then the phone is a brick and i have to unbrick it. What am i doing wrong? Can anyone help me?
I think the wing is a herald maybe you should ask you question in the herald forum might get an answer quicker sorry i could not be of help

Hi, Need some help here....tired of the same whole mix-mash from htc (recycled phones) so going back to basics - htc s620 (wm6) + my just acquired used 4700. Intend to upgrade it to WM6.1, I've been using htc phones so I am used to rom flashing... or so i thought. I downloaded some of the wm6 and 6.1 roms only to find that dont come with an ruu built in. Not a problem I thought,just get a carrier and replace the nbf file. Unfortunately despite an extensive search on brighthand and here and yahoo searches galore i havent been able to find a suitable guide with the necessary utilities to carry out the flash. The "universal bootLoader" no longer seems to be around (404 errors) samething with other Ruu's (from ru websites etc) yet I can still see thru the long 220 - 251 pg threads that people are flashing with something. In the interest of new 4700 owners would it be possible to have a particular "How-to-flash" thread possibly as a sticky? If not at least can someone help me with a how-to guide and any link to the relevant ruu or bootLoader utility for the rom flash.

Thanks a lot ridolfo. that has helped a great deal. Slight problem that you hopefully know a way around. After downloading the BootLoader.exe rar file, I tried to open it to proceed but it kept on coming up with an error... "windows cannot open the selected path file...you may not have the appropriate permissions to open them" I just cant get past that altough it has apparently opened and expanded showing a whole lot of other files but i cannot basically get past that stage to run the rom nbf file... Any ideas please?

Very simple but unexpected solution especially since i hadn't seen the issue mentioned elsewhere.
Simply disconnected all connections to the internet especially wifi (for safety/protection etc) and then disabled zone alarm!
Everything went thru as normal,updated and now just waiting for boot-up.

Hi everyone i am new here and i recently upgraded to the tp2 from a g1 and iwant to install a rom but it wont let me...ive added the hardspl and newest radio but it wont let me install new rom and ive tried both ways thru sync and thru sdcard but nuthn when i sync it says my ruu cannot open file i want opened it says check custom ruu, and when i try thru sd it goes to bootloader screen starts to load then stops sum numbers appear across the top of screen and it aborts and says no file found i believe and i rename it to RHODIMG.nbh but nuthn...i would greatly appreciate any help with this problem thank you..

um okay so this is my first post have learnt a lot from this site bt this time iuts pretty serious :"( so i downloaded the windows insider app to install win10 preview on my phone it somehow downloaded the demo rom later i read that its a bug so i googles and researched about RUUs to fix the problem i tried a method which extracting the ruu then placing some ".nbh" files and then flashing it but it came out as a disaster....
Now so i let the battery drain out hoping it would start normal but its not the case now when i charge it up it shows that charging blink then the blinking goes off and the phone vibrates showing its powered up now when i connect the phone to pc it detects the phone an opens up file explorer showing all the system files as some local drive in my pc and during all this time the screen doesn't show a bit of its alive its all black o n the screen i don't know what the hell happened please help and sorry if i re-posted or something its my first post really don't know about asking queries or help here... IF IT HELPS I LIVE IN INDIA THERE ARE NO CARRIER LOCKED PHONES HERE.... PLEASE HELP......!! and also i've been using the windows developer preview for log time before all this happening..
