Not sure if this is the right place for this or if its been discussed already. If so then mods can move or delete. Just wondering if its possible to link google now and smart notice together so that you get niw updates on the smart notice widget.

The short answer is no. The smart notice widget is a standalone process developed by LG. It sort of mimics Google now but is much less feature rich. You have to use both apps/widgets independently to get the content from each.
I found that if you install zooper widget and use the LG G3 theme it opens Google now.

Ah I see, I read his two questions as separate requests but it was a continuation. I apologize for my misunderstanding.
I believe there is a live wallpaper that has google maps as the background and does live updating on your location. Not really what you were looking for but the closest thing I think.
how about this one:

Since i could not find a good vehicle friendly one i wanted to improvise using a home screen something like the attached.
"Where I'm at" widget has been upgraded to enable zoom and direction works great as far as I can see for this. A gesture music player widget (at this time i believe is impossible from what I've read) and maybe some other small details and android could become vehicle friendly.
Hey folks,
I've been wondering what was the purpose behind the hidden dock bar really? I haven't been able to find a use for such a feature. In most case I'd something like FileCrypt...
Wanted to know what you guys thought?...
It's an extra dock bar where you can add more app shortcuts and not clutter up your home screen

Yeah I get that part also... But I have way to many apps I access on a regular basis so... no real usefulness.
Different strokes for different folks.

That doesn't mean it's not useful to someone else.
Hidden doc
I used it to keep my desktop clean looking. No apps in the main doc and kept my apps on the hidden doc. That way I could have a really niche desktop pic with maybe a clock on it and one or two other information widgets and no other icons. I could just swipe and there's my doc.
I'm looking to download the previous version any ideas?
Does anyone know if there is a way or an app that allows regular widgets to be pinned in place, like the google search bar at the top of the screen? I want to create a custom background with certain spots designated for certain widgets, but I want them to be present on every page, without having any transition effects when I swipe from page to page. Does anyone know if there is a way to make this happen?

I brilliant app.
Hi,
Does anyone know why the G4 weather widget is only available using the default G4 launcher? I REALLY like it, but can't seem to export it :/
Cheers
Darren
It's just part of the LG launcher and relies on the launcher to work. There are many other great weather apps with included widgets that you can choose from though
I really hate how the LG widgets are tied to the launcher. OEM launchers are terrible.
Fortunately, there is a Zooper widget for it.
I've never found an OEM widget that is NOT tied to it's launcher. Having used HTC, Samsung, and LG phones, it's always the case. Once you switch to an alternative launcher, you lose any OEM-specific widgets. Just the way it is unless someone ports them to be used outside of the OEM launcher.

Yep, absolutely correct.
XWidget has one that looks exactly like it. It doesn't change color to match your background though.

Transparent clock & weather has a nice looking weather widget. Very configurable, and worth a look imo.
how about forget the widget and just swipe up...or over to google now?
I would love a launcher where google now was the first page, the home page. So whenever I turned on my phone, it was right there front and center.

Cheers guys, Just found the Zooper Widget. It is pretty amazing...
Do you think exporting it would work on the G3/G2?

You didn't read my post carefully. With Google Now Launcher, you have to scroll to the right to get the left-most screen which is google now. I would like one where the HOME PAGE, the page that appears when you first turn on the phone to be Google Now, no scrolling necessary. So that Google Now is front and foremost and you'd have to scroll to get the other pages. If Google Now Launcher would allow you to make Google Now the default page, then it would be good (along with being able to resize icons--they're too big, and change the overall layout grid).
Those who want G4 weather widget with Smart notice, just search XDA, there is a guide available to make the two work on any lanucher.
Using the app called Popup Widget, I'm able to quickly place any kinds of widget directly on the second screen, since we can easily move back and forth app shortcuts from the second screen and home screen, but that mainly applies to the stock launcher only, tried with Nova, but didn't work. Anyways, here's a video showing an example of creating widget and placing it into second screen and works fine.
https://youtu.be/mX-diQEANw8
The app is called Popup Widget, and can be found on the Play Store.
Credits @klark1kent for the idea of implementing custom widgets on the second screen using Zooper and Tasker apps. If you want, you can head over to his thread in the link below for an in-depth guide using Zooper Widgets
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/themes-apps/screen-custom-app-icons-widget-t3269726
Update: So, I've created a new video that actually allows you to add more icons/shortcuts to the second screen. So take a look over at the link below.
https://youtu.be/nuo0IAhwUR0
The app is called SiMi Folder Widget, and can be found on the Play Store.
You've been busy. How did you ever come up with this? Nice video though
Shame it doesn't work with Nova.

Usually what I'd do since you can easily toggle between different launchers via settings, just switch to the stock launcher, place it in then change back.

The idea was actually from your thread, so got to thank you for that idea that you actually came up, and I was looking around for other alternatives instead of using Zooper and Tasker, and Popup Widget sort of solves the issue for me. And also having to place any kind of widgets on your second screen really helps in situations where you wouldn't want to get kicked out of other apps, let's say if you are messaging and you want to quickly see some new tweets to freshen up.

That's exactly what I said in thr original thread. I used popup widget also but hey I'm happy you liked the idea and clearly I didn't create a guide initially because I wanted to get it out to the community as soon as possible anyway I agree the options are endless... The only thing about just using popup which I alluded to in the other post is that it wasn't working with other launchers and zooper allows you to create your own widgets and add them to popup instead of relying on system default widgets. Let's keep the innovations coming though but yeah I was surprised you essentially jacked the idea with zero credit. Thanks for making it right

Oh damn, I guess I didn't read it clearly! Really sorry about that... I guess I did miss the part about Popup Widget and was sort of lost in the guide of yours so I was looking around for alternatives. My bad if I really missed out on my part but I hope you enjoyed the mini guide that I created, and shall give proper credits for you
Best app for v10 so far
Bumping for suggestions
Is Popup Widget the same as Popup Widget 2? Because I couldn't find any Popup Widget without a 2 next to it.

Is there a way to make popup widgets using the stock apps like favorite contacts and LG Health?
I haven't tried, but would think you could make a widget from Zooper, then use Popup widgets utilizing your custom zooper widget

As those are LG-based Widgets, which is lockdown only to stock launcher, Popup Widget can't recognize it as a proper widget, only universal ones work.
Hence sadly it's not possible to actually get those into the second screen.
