No clue. But if you haven't touched anything in the /system partition (I.e. removing the bloatware, installing 3rd party drivers from apps like viper4android, using xposed, etc etc) then the install should go just fine.

someone said if you aren't rooted already and take this update then you won't be able to root and if you take this update while you have a custom recovery installed you will soft brick your phone.

I tried the update. On my GPro was rooted on stock Rom. Got stuck in horrible CWM boot loop had to restore with LG R&D test tool... was kinda scared for a minute.

So how do we do this update? Go back to stock & root it but dont flash a custom recovery? This is so much work for that lil update.
Seeing as this is question #3648596925385925486526595 about the matter, just don't update. Its not that big of a deal. Its still 4.1.2 nuff said

Yesh once you do the update without any custom recovery installed, use freegee from the market to get it back

Have you tried it and it worked? I tried it once before after I restored my phone from a soft brick caused by the update, then I ran freegee and it would show the screen where it says the bootloader was unlocked with the LG logo then jump to another screen with just the LG logo and just kept looping in that boot forcing me to do another restore. I don't know if something went wrong and that's why I didn't work

I actually made this thread because of all i was hearing bout it soft bricking the phones. I didn't wanna update it if it wasn't worth it. Well I did it anyways yes I did do it once with a soft bricked then restored it like i said in a thread earlier & was successful
HELPPPPPP!!!!!
I flashed a kernel that wasn't compatible with my ROM (Mahdi rom) and it f'ed up my G pad. I tried both suggested methods of restoring to stock but they don't seem to work. The G pad keeps boot-looping.
I can put the tablet in "download mode", but that's about it.
Any suggestions for getting this thing working again?
Use lg recovery tool if you can get into download mode.

Sounds like you found the problem. Also happens if you removed or froze any system apps.
The download was 100% and the intallating get started but when the phone reboot I was on zva still... Do i have to rewrite those things again? The build.pro?

Do i have to replace apn-conf with the original, and write back the values in build.pro

Bakeo bro you have to revert all changes that you have made in your phone for the OTA to work.

Okay so I have a question about Lollipop rolling out for LG G2 owners. I have the 32 gb LG g2 rooted and flashed to page plus. I just want to know would it be safe to update to lollipop OTA. would I lose my root or the flash at all?

Typically, you must be back on stock in order to update to a newer stock version. Otherwise, it will lead to problems (brick, bootloop, etc.) I'm not sure any of the original methods will be able to re-root you on lollipop, or for that matter the page plus flash.
Can't I just flash the lollipop update or would that get rid of the page plus settings and prl? I don't mind the root going away.
