[Q] Boot Loop when trying to restore to stock! - G Pad 8.3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HELPPPPPP!!!!!
I flashed a kernel that wasn't compatible with my ROM (Mahdi rom) and it f'ed up my G pad. I tried both suggested methods of restoring to stock but they don't seem to work. The G pad keeps boot-looping.
I can put the tablet in "download mode", but that's about it.
Any suggestions for getting this thing working again?

Use lg recovery tool if you can get into download mode.

I'm not sure what went wrong during a rom flash but acted as if no OS was installed. I tried flashing a backup and it failed..
Using LGNPST and the same files i used to root the phone.. Now it just sits at the LG screen, even after putting in download mode and using LGNPST.
Any ideas guys?

This happened with my galaxy s3 and I was able to fix it after hours of googling and messing with LGNSPT. I didn't save the link but what fixed mine was using LGNSPT to flash it back to stock and it worked. It was pretty simple and I was kicking myself in the ass afterwards

Can you wipe data in recovery at all? As long as you can get into Download mode, there's always a way to save the device by flashing back to stock and starting again, so don't lose hope.
Let me try why is the twrp recovery touch not working

Honestly, I have never, ever had any luck with TWRP, and I've tried it many times on many devices. It looks great, but it's just not as reliable as the good old CWM recovery. This isn't to start a flame war with TWRP fans. I'm just stating my observations over the last few years of trying it.
I am with you I have been flashing for years this is the first time this has happened. Now I am in the process of going back to stock with a slow ass computer. Thanks

If you can get into download mode by pressing both volume keys while plugging in the usb cable connected to your PC, then you are not bricked, just do a factory image flash and start over, it happens even to the more experienced.
I btw use CWM but I don't flash ROM's that much.

You also posted the same issue in at least 3 different posts. Limit it to one post and you might get more response.
I had that happen with one of the TWRP files floating around here. If you wanna use TWRP, you need the hacked e986 one which works splendidly on my e980. Hardcore CWM fan, myself, but I love the ease of just using the touch screen.

If you have an SD card you can download the CWM .zip from here, put it on your card and flash that from within TWRP. Then you just have to reboot the recovery, wipe and restore. This is the CWM included in FreeGee. I personally tested this version for @Shelnutt2 a while back and have used the .zip a few times, since.
I did it and it worked thanks

Just a question..... Freegee installs 2.6.1.0 TWRP, what is the difference btw this and hacked madmack TWRP?
