Are you rooted? Have you removed any system apps or modified your build.prop or etc..?

I unrooted it, and yes I did modified the build.pro

Sounds like you found the problem. Also happens if you removed or froze any system apps.

The download was 100% and the intallating get started but when the phone reboot I was on zva still... Do i have to rewrite those things again? The build.pro?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app

Do i have to replace apn-conf with the original, and write back the values in build.pro
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app

Bakeo bro you have to revert all changes that you have made in your phone for the OTA to work.

Your best option would be reflash and wipe

I take it you tried to download it from the playstore after uninstalling the sideloaded version and wiping cache
Just updated mine and I'm running cm10

I had the same problem on my girlfriends phone. Clear data on Play Store & uninstall updates. Reboot too if necessary.
Google now seems to be just one part of Google search these days, maybe that was it

Rooting stock 4.1.2

I know I can flash any custom ROM I want now or the rooted/odexed version of the 4.1.2 OTA, but just for a little while I'd like to keep the flash counter at zero.
I'm still on 4.1.1 because I just got my phone 2 days ago, and I flashed the non-tripping stock root odin package before I even turned my phone on. But now I see there's an update for 4.1.2 (that someone said has multiview???) and I was wondering if there's a way to get to 4.1.2 and root it without tripping the flash counter.
Ideas?
Exynos abuse exploit. Google search it after you take the update. Download it and run it.

I'm not questioning you (thanks by the way), but I thought the 4.1.2 update was specifically to fix that issue. Was that not for the Note II?

Get the update.zip file and copy to your cache directory .
Go into recovery mode (vol up +home+power) → flash from cache. and done ...It won't wipe your data... . .and you will get you multiview.
From your previous comment. ..don't worry about custom rom count. .it can be easily rest via triangleaway.

Try recovery mode →clear cache ..Then copy update zip into cache. .som3 people suggest full unroot before runing the update..try that. I ran the update.zip in my wifes phone today with this method.

Use the exynos abuse apk to quickly root. Quick question, are you using stock recovery?

Exynox can root easily.. just copy the .apk to your phone and install app and root..takes 30 seconds..once rooted follow above.

Did. Still gave me the error when flashing in recovery. Also the root is like not working completely. Some apps don't ask for permission and so I can't give it to them.
Edit: bought supersu pro and it worked nicely. (the root acess, flashing still doesn't work)

ROM incapable to OTA

I am in 4.2.2 and tried many times to OTA update to 4.3 but it always failed.
Looking in the ROM Manager first screen says that my ROM is not set up to receive OTA.
There are no other options as these are for premium users of the app.
What can I do?

Well I tried to do so using the nexus root toolkit by Wugfresh but it doesn't seem to work for 4.3 yet.
My other option is to download the file from Google and flash it with the Gal.Nex. toolkit.
As you see I am not very good with commands etc and I am trying to do it the easy way..

OK you are right and I am going to do my homework tonight BUT...
Why the h... is it unable to OTA?
It's a completely stock jakju 4.2.2

something isnt stock. it could be the radio, kernel, some system file you modified.
When it errors out it should tell you where the problem is.

There are some system apps that I have deleted or freezed. It might be it?
In another thread here in xda I read that the device should be in stock recovery in order to accept the OTA update. Now mine is in clockwork mode.
Is this right?

Sigh. CWM doesn't stop otas, modifying /system does that.
If you removed system apps then that's your problem. You will never be able top install the OTA in any way

4.3 Root apps don't work

Tried both cm10.3 and liquid smooth, and apps like titanium backup and scary won't work. TBP just stalls when trying to restore and adaway just stops at parsing.

For back up location go into titanium's preferences and then back up folder location click it then detect whole device then change it to legacy agreeing to move them to there, I never had to do the su update all I've had to do was storage but several have had to update their su ... so I'd your needing to then download su from market, goo into us settings and chose to update binary but do it through recovery... Hope that helps ya Bud
