Guyz my g pro is behaving very weird when i just push my power button to shut off the screen it shows power menu and restarts the phone i flash the phone via kdz then it works good again but after 2 to 3 hours same problem appears again please help me
I think it's a hardware issue you have to claim the warranty.

Hi Guys I have been using my arc for about 5 months and currently on FW4.0.1.A.283 rooted. My phone freeze occasionally when I want to answer a call, I cant slide to unlock the screen it totally not responding and I have to press the power button to turn off the screen and on.... then, it starts to respond again. It also happened when I unlock my phone and the screen freeze.... have to press power button to off screen and on to make it respond again Any one have to same problem? any solution?

Ok , so my phone's is acting up. It turns off on its own then starts to vibrate in a pulsing rhythm. And when I am able to turn it on I try to make phone calls and I can't hear anything and same goes to the other end of the phone call. I read that the random reboots could be caused by a faulty power button but I don't know about the no sound phone calls. I wanted to remap the power button to + volume rocker but couldn't find an app to do it. How would I remap the button? Or better yet is my phone a lost cause? BTW I'm back to stock.

I don't think it is a faulty Power button. If it was then it would just hard reboot (holding power button for longer than 10 seconds will force reboot it). It sounds like a software issue. You could root and flash a rom and see what happens. Message me if you need any other help
Ok I rooted and flashed cm9.1 and it was running good for an hour and then bam. It shut down and started vibrating. I tried turning back on and at the phone turned off and started vibrating again.

Have an DInc2 with a broken power button (doesn't work/respond, but phone will turn on when receiving a phone call) and phone is out of warranty. Are there any alternatives to powering on the device such as a USB wake command (this phone is non-rooted) or any other suggestions?
You can get a new button on Ebay. I have not done it but have read about others successfully repairing the power button.

You can root it and get button replacement like saviour
You might be able to set volume wake up though I'm assuming you're stock and I haven't used that since I got the phone
Easy wake is what you'd want to enable widget locker has an option for it and so do some roms
Also you can set widget locker to lock on search long preas
Theoretically there are other options like external hardware
Button replacement is a good idea if it won't respond at all otherwise once you turn it off it becomes a paperweight

Hello there , plz help me. I am using this great phone for over a year now and didn't face any issue till now. But suddenly my power key is not working also when I pulled out battery and again inserted the phone starts without pressing power key. Now every time to wake up screen I need to plug the charger in or need to ask someone to call me on my phone. This is very annoying. Please let me know anyone has the same issue. Hi! I'm having troubles with my power button it just doesn't work sometimes mostly when the screen is on I press it and it doesn't work, and I don't know how to reboot since I need that button for that too.. I think is software problem and not hardware since it on, y has one week and it appears just sometimes, I can't find the cause yet, could it be the case with magnet?

I always install elixir widgets from the app store and create a reboot widget. It offers reboot,recovery,boot loader, and shutdown.
But if you shutdown, and the power button is not functioning, you'll need to wake the device via adb.
There probably is a dedicated app also.
