the battery that came with the phone (which I bought exactly a year ago) started dying on me, (percentage jumping, weird freezing and hanging, crashing and other stuff.) Where do I get an ORIGINAL OEM battery and not some cheap crappy counterfeit that will actually produce about 70% of the original capacity which is around 2180~mAh instead of a full 3100. (Samsung.com doesnt seem to have it - I checked ..(IL)
Ideas? (Im desparate and its pretty urgent due to the fact I have everything on my phone, I use it 24 hours a day , all of my projects are on it, and I need to fix this problem ASAP)
just email samsung and they will provide address or sell you one. phone will work on charger, so no worries. you can buy extended battery i.e. zerolemon
I'm not sure if we're allowed to mention sites but, I've gotten some before on eBay for this exact model, just make sure you check the user's feedback.
I have a dual SIM Note II bought on eBay in 2013. It came with 2 batteries (EB595675LU) and the first one gave up on me about 2 months ago (it became "fat"). I replaced it with the second battery and ordered a replacement battery of higher capacity (and very cheap - from China). When that came, I saw it wouldn't fit the phone and I thought "at this price ... what can one expect?". Then I ordered an "original" EB595675LU replacement battery from a trustworthy North-American seller. By the time this one arrived, the second battery gave up on me as well (also became "fat"). Unfortunately, the new battery didn't fit either. I have done a lot of digging on the subject, and here is a summary of what I found:
The normal EB595675LU battery has the dimensions of about 74.5 X 55.0 X 5.5 mm; the one in my phone (also clearly labeled EB595675LU) is about 78.5 X 51.5 X 4.5 mm (longer, narrower and thinner). I tried to contact eBay and web sellers, Samsung Hong Kong, and "battery manufacturers" from China (Alibaba). A few Chinese manufacturers have acknowledged the "two sizes", but I have yet to see one to believe (and they usually want orders of 100+ pieces).
It seems that dual SIM Note II's were released for the Chinese market as N7102 and as SCH-N719 ... I googled for images, and none of the pictures showing the inside of either phone looked exactly as mine. In my phone's battery compartment there is a label stating Model N7102 and listing 2 IMEI's, and on top of its "Model" area there is another label, listing 2 different IMEI's. According to one battery seller, what I've got is a "high-copied phone" ... whatever that means. Finally, the only Samsung battery with a similar "form factor" seems to be the Note 3 battery, but haven't yet tried one to see how it fits.
I have seen on this forum and web site that there are people physically modifying their phones in amazing manners. I am an electrical engineer, so I would be OK with some physical tweaking as well. So ... anybody has any suggestions, ideas or pointers (other than "buy a new phone") that could help me put this phone back in a working state?
ok, after nearly 5 years of using, i had have problems with the USB port of my N7000.
It was impossible to get a good power contact during recharging my battery.
So i ordered a replacement part for it. So far, so good.
But after replacing, i have only Edge (G2) and no G3/Umts any longer!
Have compared the new one against the old one twice but with the same result.
So i looked into the WWW and found different replacements with the same problem!!!
It looks like, that it is impossible to get the old original quality.
Ok, ~7$ is not expensive, but anyhow! Now i can charge but not surf in the net.
~34KB/s is 10 times less than with H+:silly:
I think, it seems to be a plagiarism with really bad quality.
So be careful if you will buy some (declared as a "original"!) replacement part.
I'm guessing Samsung (or the distributor) does not make the parts anymore so to keep with the demand there are attempts to create more of it by other opportunistic companies.
When replacing the connector you may have bent the connectors for the antenna or forgot to connect them. Check you motherboard brass connectors's health and the celular antenna's cable if it is connected right.
I think this phone being forgotten as so many dev leave and for the part replacement might be non ori at all. Within 5 years I got 4 times replacement for USB port & 3 times internal spraker, normally I let the phone repairman do at phone shop nearest my home. Lately they give discount for regular customer. Speaking about regular customer it also means this phone has nearly R.I.P as I always change the same part of replacement. Last week the 4th times USB replacement. What to do as I am unaffordable to buy new phone.
What are you doing with your phone bro. For all this time I have replaced the usb connector once and the display and this is my only repairs for this phone.
I ran into the same issue.
To my knowledge, there are at least 4 different revisions of the USB charging PCB. Some are incompatible with the device you own, because of regional differences between devices.
I had to buy two, one from china, one locally from a smartphone repair shop owner (cool guy!), as the china one didn't work. Only 1 or 2 bars GPRS when standing right next to the cell tower.
With the one bought locally, I have worse reception than with the original part, but it is very much acceptable and works in at least 90% of all areas I'm in.
Both replacement parts have different model numbers than the original one that was built into my note originally. Some sellers have pictures of another model number, so it suggests, that there at least 4 versions out there.
To further elaborate on my findings:
Two times so far, I experienced one very weird and almost esoterical bug.
This happened both times after reasonably long uptimes on bauners NightOwl 7.1.2 ROM (some version released early 2018).
I have the reception indicator once in the status bar at the top of the screen and one time in the notification area. For some weird mysterical reason, it can happen, that both of these indicators develop their own interpretations of the signal. It might happen, that the status bar will say e.g. H and the notification area will report something like E. The other way around it might happen as well. Telephony is not possible in such situations.
It is very weird and some online searches suggest, that this might be the note itself, not the software. It seems like several of samsungs devices are prone to this problem, not only the n7000. A reboot solves the problem, but I wanted to point this out as I thought the notification area signal reception indicator would merely mirror the status bar reception indicator, that is definitely not the case, so you might want to check for both signal indicators to be more certain about your issues. I'm sure nobody expects this, so a quick heads up.

I'm not sure where to post this but here we go.
I've been replacing phone batteries for a while now, more of a side project for extra income. I also do board level repairs thought 90% of that is computer related.
So the oddity I have stumbled upon is that after replacing the battery on a HTC One M8, of which I have done quite a few of, the digitizer became unresponsive.
First thought was of course that the ribbon cable wasn't seated properly however it was. In fact everything checked out fine.
I removed the new battery and re-installed the original one and the digitizer returned to normal.
I repeated this three additional times, twice with two older batteries left over from previous jobs plus the phones original battery and the new battery. Each time the digitizer would become unresponsive with the new battery installed and then return to normal when the older batteries where installed.
The battery is the last one of my "New" stock that I purchased just a couple of months ago and none of them have given me any trouble.
This is the first time I have encountered any sort of trouble with a simple battery replacement.
How could a battery be the rout of the problem?
I have placed an order for a new stock of M8 batteries, though I expect the number of replacements to drop significantly, from the same supplier and will be returning this one. They are OEM and as I stated this is the first one that has any sort of problem.
Any idea's? I won't be sending the new one back for a couple of weeks so I have it at my disposal to test. My next step is to try it out on my own phone as it has been close to two years since I replaced it's battery.
Just to add on to the mystery, I installed the new battery into my own phone last night, same thing happened. I left the battery in place and plugged in my old one without any change, digitizer was still not responsive.
I re-installed my old battery and it functioned fine and then connected the new battery while the old one was still installed and the phone functioned fine.
So something is missing with the new battery that is causing the problem. I also noted last night the the physical size of the new battery is slightly smaller.
In any case the company is sending a replacement and it is the only one out of the 12 that I had purchased that has given me any trouble.
Now I really want to know what else is tucked in with the battery that could cause this.
The battery may not be giving enough voltage to power the device hence the problem arises. It's an obviously defective battery. Get it replaced

I would concur with that if it wasn't for the fact that if I leave the original battery in place and connect the new one to the motherboard the phone operates properly.
I'm 100% sure it is the fault of the new battery, just wondering why it would cause the problem when it is physically installed.
The other point is if anyone else comes across this problem I'm just making them aware that it is something to look at instead of thinking it is the connection or damaged digitizer.
Since the battery situation has reached a point of no return (under 1.5 hours of SOT, random restarts and bootloops under 50%) and since I won't have the opportunity to get a new device for the next year, I would really appreciate it if someone could share his/her experience with battery replacement via the official HTC service.
I can send my device to either UK or DE service points, so any specific experience with those would be ideal. Furthermore, I would really love to know if someone had any issues with sending their devices with an unlocked bootloader, or received them damaged or scratched, as this is the reason why I am still reluctant of sending my device (I have read some horror stories of devices returning scratched or with damaged screens).
Any help would be highly appreciated.

I would much appreciate the same info except that I'm in the US. Same exact battery difficulties. I've already bought a new device but I would love to keep this one operational as a backup if the battery can be replaced without ruining the device. All the DIY videos I've watched look like a nightmare.
Not in EU/US, so my experience might be different from yours (YMMV disclaimer)
Got my 10 in for battery replacement (last week of warranty left), and just got it back.
Don't try to replace the battery yourself, to be honest.
I send my phone in for only a battery exchange, and it came back with a new battery, and a new screen.
It's very likely to damage the ribbon cable while putting the phone back.
What I see from some other forums is, basically if you've had software mod, they won't warrant mainboard damage.
Haven't heard anyone had a damaged phone back from official repair though.
It costs around $40-50 for a battery exchange out of warranty IIRC.

Who did the battery replacement? In the US HTC won't replace the battery anymore. I contacted them last week and was told they no longer do it. I'm looking into third party solutions now.

Official HTC repairment center in Taiwan. However in my case my phone is still barely in warranty (a week or less). They covered all cost within warranty. Heard an out of warranty battery exchange is around $40-50.
Also, it seems that they also repair foreign htc phones, although at a additional cost of $35, plus whatever the replacement part costs.
If you're really desperate about your battery and don't want to risk it, maybe pay extra? Just sayin' , and not endorsing anything.
Maybe there's some 3rd party that will exchange 10's battery? Just make sure that they'll also change the screen if they damaged it.
Hey folks,
I live in Europe (France). I bought an OEM battery at a fair price from Ebay (I can find the link if anyone is interested) and had the repair done by a store nearby for ~40 euros (which is not so much considering the time it took them to remove the screen without any damage !).
Since the guys agreed to make the change for the same price, I also took the opportunity to replace the rear case, to a beautiful brand new red housing. Now my 10 seems like it just came out of the box, for less than 100 euros in total. I'm happy !
Exact same battery issues over here, but located in AUS. 3rd party repairer is having major issues locating a battery, so I'm going to try going through HTC. Wish me luck!
I just did replacement by myself with the battery that i bought from aliexpress.so far is the winner when i compare with My brother s 2 Yo Phone.i did HTCbattery test. Mine ended with 92% and his 80%
It's a very hard device to repair honestly. I sent my phone for a battery replacement and they accidentally messed up part of the screen(Im guessing they bent a part in the ribbon cable for the screen). I recommend you send it to HTC themselves or a very experienced shop with good reputation and don't try to do it yourself. I must say it does make a huge difference to have the battery replaced.
When i sent my phone in, it was completely stock afaik (it was unlocked and with a custom rom before); howerever, they installed a different version and relocked the bootloader as stated in the papers you sign. It just came back like it was out of the box except that the bootloader said *Tampered* and *RELOCKED* so they didnt restore the bootloader status.
I've got my HTC U12+ two days ago and when I got my 10 out of the case to swap sim cards I noticed a small bulge on the display (see photo). I guess my battery is a bit bulged or something, so I'd like to get it replaced. How should I go about it? I've already written the HTC support, since there doesn't seem to be a repair address or anything like that on the homepage. I am from Germany, so I could just return the phone to my provider, but they take 2-3 weeks longer to get it repaired...
Had battery issues with my HTC 10, it didn't last much, drained quickly and had random shutdowns above 30%.
Orderer a new battery from aliexpress, carefully removed the screen and replaced the battery.
It made a real difference!

Hi, I have the same issue with the battery. You say you removed the screen and replaced the battery. Do you have any tutorial or step-by-step description for this?
Thanks

You could find tutorials on youtube, it's easy to replace, just do it step by step be pacient and careful

To give a conclusion to this:
- I wrote the support and got a return label for a local repair shop (3rd party, but authorized by HTC)
- After I sent the device off, I got NO email confirmation that the device arrived, got repaired or got sent back
- Since Hermes is a piece of **** where I live, they never bothered to try to deliver the package.
- By pure luck I was at the Hermes packet pickup store for a different package from Amazon when I learned that I hat not only one, but two packages waiting for me.
- I assume total repair and delivery time was less than a week, but I have no idea how long the package was at the pickup store.
- The battery was replaced, but the glue around the screen was applied quite poorly, but since the device works again I don't really care.
- They didn't touch the OS. Bootloader was unlocked and a custom ROM was installed - no changes after the repair.

I watched a few of those tutorials. Just nope. I'm a bit clumsy by nature, and precision works like that are just a no-no for me. I'd end up having to replace nearly everything, because of accidentally damaged electronic parts.
My HTC 10 is about 1 year old, bought it brand new from aliexpress, so no warranty. Well ... They claim that they give 2 years warranty, but the hurdles that I'd have to go through to send it to them (took 2 months to arrive to me), with no guarantee that I'd get the same phone back when/if they repair it ... Let's just say that it has no warranty.
Luckily, it still has no major issues, apart from an echo problem. Whenever I call someone or someone calls me, whoever is on the other side hears a feedback of his/her own voice for about 30 seconds, then the echo disappears. I hear no echoes, only whoever is on the other side hears it, and only during the first 30 seconds or so of the call. There are no echoes/feedbacks if I turn on the loud speaker or use the earphones. I've been researching about this strange echo issue, and found no solutions. But I digress.
Long story short: I'm too clumsy to attempt a disassembly myself.
Also, it seems that the HTC support here is linked to a company called Regenersis, which I've read very bad reviews about. Since my phone has no warranty, I could search for a third party shop and supply them with the new parts. Although, if it becomes too much of a hassle or if they ask for too much money, I could always buy a new phone.

Sorry for the late reply, i used the tutorial in : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmL0mMmNBUM&t=566s&list=PLqrAW732T3e_8qLGBDX8YoCI2XWTDCQKW&index=2
Bare in mind that you have great chances of damaging your LCD during the operation, so do it at your own risk and responsability

Just one more question. I've watched this and several other videos repeatedly but there's one thing that's not clear to me. Did you have to use some kind of glue or adhesive tape when reassembling the screen?
In some videos they don't mention it and in another one they uses industrial mp glue (B7000?). I have read a lot about people using tape.
What worked well for you? Are there any pitfalls?
Thanks in advance.
