So far, impressions are that battery life is much improved in this version. I assume our devs could build a ROM for rooted AT&T devices based on this firmware.
Same changelist as the rest of the newest 4.1.2 releases. Nothing new.

I think the update to the international devices is DME6, but I'm no dev, so I may be getting these numbers confused.

Yes... if it follows the Samsung firmware/csc naming convention, A=regional code ; L=2012 ; K=Nov ; 7=version.
http://www.cpkb.org/wiki/Samsung_firmware_naming_conventions
It's the U.S. version. Btw, I just traded my gn2 for a gs4. Screen feels tiny in comparison. Then I took out my iPhone 3G and it looked enormous. It's about the same size as the l920 but has a much larger screen.

I haven't tried the ROM since it's only out for international variants. As far as it being a placebo, I got that info from the Samsung changelog. Take that however you want.

Lol. Don't worry, I'll probably be getting a note3 when it comes out. The s4 seems a little slower than the n2, even after I rooted it.

I have the n7100 and it has indeed improved battery life for 4.1.2...however 4.1.1 still has the smoothest performance and best better life I have seen yet.
Is anybody working on a custom ROM for the 510 yet? Kind of not necessary given there's no bloat and xposed works well. That being said, part of the reason I wanted to root my tablet is to play with different Roms/kernels.
I will say that mine is lightening fast, was easy to root using Linux, and has NO problems with the screen.
Any Update?

Why are you wanting a custom ROM? I ask because these days you can do many of the same things that were afforded by custom ROMs on the stock ROM using Xposed Framework modules, in particular GravityBox. There are very few options that I've seen in CM, AOKP, etc., that you can't do with those ROMs installed, and you get the benefits of the stock ROM, particularly with GPE.
Anyone who has used both a GPE and a rooted V500 running any AOSP ROM: is there any difference is responsiveness and speed at opening web pages?

Yeah, that's been annoying. Think I have it fixed on latest kernel. At least my test run is working. It used to be forever waiting. Will upload sleekai5.1 soon. I'll check to see if XDA has their uploads fixed yet. Don't really like using github for that.

More responsive? Yeah, probably. Don't know about Roms. I scored 27474 on antutu for whatever that's worth. That's not with init.d set to lower CPU. Another user posted similar with madhi and the dyn kernel.

Because it sounds like fun. I later began tweaking the kernel instead, and adding other things like xposed. This thread is old. I wrote this when I first got the device and was looking for something different to work on. Because I wanted a clean device from which to work.
Other GPE devices can run custom Roms like their non gpe counterparts. This is the only device I'm aware of that actually has issues just loading any ROM you like. It's a shame.

Hi,
The OnePlus One really impresses me with there cm11s and cm12 roms, I like the stock Android feel with customization. The G3 stock feels a bit to slow and laggy to me. So the question is, how does the G3 holds up in the stable roms department against the OnePlus? Is there any stabel CM11 or CM12 roms? And is it as simple to install as on the OnePlus?
[ROM][Lollipop][Unofficial]Cyanogenmod 12 [D855]
Official CM12 is planned.
And there is plenty other AOSP roms.
It is easy to flash custom ROMs on G3. Just click flash in recovery.
Depending on the LG G3 you have, if it's a 2GB or 3GB, the experience is pretty much the same.
I have a one plus one and an LG G3 and i find the LG G3 software to be more colourfull, which is great on the screen.
The customization that the LG G3 offers without being rooted is huge, you can change almost everything.
In terms of speed, i have the 2GB. My LG doesn't seem so slow, I'm using a Custom Rom (AndroidNow) and it feels great.
Overall, i prefer the LG because the phone is more customizable and the quality of the product is a little bit better.

Sounds easy, how will my version of phone hold up with custom roms(see version below)? What you are saying is really that there is not a big diffrence between the scene of custom roms for OnePlus One and the G3?

The version I got is LG-D855 32 GB. The software is Android 4.4.2, Kernel 3.4, Versionnumber : KVT49L.A1412000029, Softwareversion : V10I-EUR-XX, will this be a problem for the custom rom scene?
I havenĀ“t used the G3 much yet but I have heard that the battery life are really bad? like a day or less of "normal" use and there is random restarts that probably depends on the hardware!? If thay only went with a regular 1080p screen
Im on the fenc about the OnePlus One, have a friend that got it with custom Lollipop rom and its REALLY smooth and fast! Much like the Nexus 5. But Im not so sure about the suport and the missing wireless chargin. The LTE are also not adapten to the Swedish LTE from what I read so problem with reception outside big cities will probably be a fact.

Is there any sable rom that do bring something "better" but still dont break for example video recording?
Plenty of the is stable and support video recording. Plenty of stock based and aosp based.
Don't understand what do you mean by "do bring something better". Video recording is the same. Only difference on stock you can shoot slowmotion.

Nice to hear that there is stable alternative roms for the g3!
It sounds like you have tested some of them, will some of the custom roms remove the lag that the stock have? How long do your batteri last?

Lag is not present in stock rom even. Lag was there on first batches of firmware, but it is solved.
Battery, I get 5 hours SOT always. It can only goes up, never got less then 5 hours.

I got lag in my updated stock for sure. Its micro lagg but noticable. For example if I open up the programs list and scrolls I will notice that it laggs, nut much but its there. This did never happen on my old Samsung S3.
What suprises me is that my old Samsung S3 on stock are a bit faster then the G3 on opening apps and switching between them. I supose that the screen takes a lot of power and this is one of the resons I have looked at the OnePlus One.
If I wanted to try a custom rom before deciding if I should return the phone, is this possible? I need to be able to return it to the stock exacly as it was. What custom firmware would you suggest? Is there maybe a stable cm11 rom for the G3 international?

Very nice looking ROM (i like LG's approach to lollipop design), and everything works, including Qremote, and other LG features. Battery drain just a little more than stock 4.4.2. V7i looks even better (exactly like G4), but GPS may not work.

Its original LG stock lollipop whit LG G4 apps. Installation is a bit tricky because you need Philz Touch recovery to install rom, and because this recovery have an error you will end up will phone constantly booting to recovery, so you need to have twrp recovery in zip and install it from Philz Touch recovery in order to boot up you phone.
Rom itself is grate just the thing that all of us (excluding those from Korea) were waiting for original - rom from LG that works and nothing crash or hang

Install Ampere and check the current you're getting from your charger/cable. If it's low (under 400mA) you may want to try with other charger or cable.
Also, if charging on USB, enable Fast charge in Kernel Adiutor.

Your suggestion to use Ampere saved me. I begin looking further since my mA was less than 50 lol..... Your 400 statement made me curious. Turns out the T-Mobile My Account App was killing the battery, causing the phone to get hot and not charge. Once I uninstalled that app, charging has been working for a few days now. Which is weird since I used that app on stock, CM, and Bliss without that charging issue. All good though. Thanks for replying

Hm, that one is a weird reason for low battery charging... Either way, you shouldn't get under 400mA for this phone, it simply won't charge (at least mine doesn't). Good stable 2A charger or usb3 port (max current is 1A for those) should fix the issue. Also, avkid using powerbanks, in my experience they do rechaege your phone, but charge is bad - it drains itself, lol.
Hellow friends....
It's been a long time since i ve been using T-Mobile lg g3 but right now i an facing a problem on my device....
Whatever rom i tried my phone always started random rebooting on GSM MODE. I don't know how to fix this...
Switching to WCSMA ONLY fixed the problem for a while but in my area the WCDMA signals are not pretty good and i normally use WiFi so i need to stay on GAM for better connectivity and calls.....
Any help on how to fix these reboots????
Thanks
