KK Italy vs Other KK FW - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Did anyone here tried flashing the KK FW other than the Italy one? And are there any differences of bugs between the KK Italy and the new KK firmwares? I'm curious.

I am from India. Indian firmware has not been released yet.I am waiting for that.
also I flashed the Malaysian version.
might be some kind of placebo effect but I think it is free of lags(especially UI seems to be pretty smooth).
antutu and quadrant benchmark scores are lower in case of CPU, but higher in GPU.
and there are some other minor differences in the preinstalled apps.

I want to know the same, or even if the old JB rom is faster.

[Q] Best stable firmware (or what do the version codes mean?)

The latest 2.1 rom is the JM2 which ive found to be the most stable one so far. However, none of the roms are official yet :/
Theres some info about the release dates at this page: http://samsung-firmware.webs.com/samsungi9000.htm
Bought S a few days ago, updated directly to JM2 (latest 2.1 in the wild at the moment). I, almost, had no issues. Fast, perfect GPS, no crashes, almost no slowdowns, good battery life. I'll wait a little bit before trying any JP (2.2 PDA). From reviews, they seem quite unstable.

JM2 is the way to go for now. Couple it with Samset 1.6 + Memocan EXT4 LagFix with a Class 6 SDHC card + AutoKiller on Extreme Preset =>> Great performance. Blindingly fast!
The JM2 rom says it's european? Will that be safe to flash on my At&t USA Captivate?
Sorry for the noob question, this is my first At&t/android/samsung phone >.>

Galaxy S has other buttons than the Captivate, so maybe there will be problems. dont know.
Another question: is flashing with odin (without repartition) like wiping+fresh install?
I believe the roms are slightly diffrent because the capative uses a slightly diffrent kernel!
But JM2 is the most stable firmware right now!
I'd go for the JM2 firmware. I've been running it for like 2 weeks now and it's the most optimized and stable firmware I tested.
noob question,
Which area Australia come under for galaxy s? Europe or Asia?
No one had the batery issue with JM2?

what is the Asian equivalent of the JM2? I need Thai language on my phone. Thanks!
Give I9000JPJG8 (AFRICA) a try. It feels much more polished than JM2!

I am running JM2 firmware and rom on my captivate. It runs a lot better with I9000 rom. You need to install captivate kernel after install.
I just install JM2..i would like to know does JM2 supports adobe flash? I am able to install flash when i was on JP3 but i faced a quite a bit of force close so I decided to use JM2 but I am unable to install the flash player. Thanks.
I'm on the JG8 African firmware..
It's snappy and the GPS is good so far..

Only froyo supports flash!
There are 3 roms which I can confirm work better than the stock JF3: JG5, JM2, and JG8. JM2 has problems connecting to Samsung Kies, so if you use Kies, that'll be a deal breaker; JG5 if very stable but is missing some features from JM2 and JG8; JG8 has an issue with the market not being initially installed, but it is fixable, so far it doesn't seem to have any noticeable flaws. (haven't used for too long though...)
Definitely stay away from the Froyo firmwares, at least for now... they are no-where near ready for everyday use.
Confirmed JG8 so far so good for me.
JM2 with samset1.8 -> lag and unstable for me.

Could anyone answer this one for me? Does it matter when I flash the firmware?

Australia has it's own versions...
I9000DTJG4 ( Character code DT )
However lots of Australians imported the UK model, then you use Europe versions.

US T-mobile with Central EU ROM

I today installed the Central EU ROM on my US T-mobile and then updated with the US 3G fix. Also changed the system font with 'Planera'.
It seems motoblur services definitely slows down the phone. Even without overclocking/undervolting the phone's quadrant scores have improved and there is no lag at all, (i used to hate the lockscreen lag).
Before flashing the Central EU SBF, the quadrant scores were 951 approx and post flashing it is now 1070.
So for all US T-mobile Defy owners, i think central EU ROM is a good alternative if you dont want to experiment too much and want to have an official Motorola Deblurred ROM.

AnTuTu Benchmark Scores. M919 4.2 - 4.3

Hello All
I been running Antutu benchmark, on 2 phones both are the m919 the 1st is running stock 4.2 and the other is running stock 4.3
After running the test at least 10 times on each phone here are the scores that i'm getting .
M919 with stock 4.2- between 22,000 and 26,000
M919 with stock 4.3- between 26,000 and 29,000
I also tried running different rom's on the m919 4.2 while I had it rooted, none of the rom's listed below scored higher than stock 4.3.
Danvdh-GE-4.4.2-01162014
V-10.2
Wicked_v9.1
Any thoughts on this? I'm guessing they clocked the CPU a little bit higher on 4.3?
Does this really affect performance? if so how much?
On a side note I also noticed on the 4.3 version of the phone, the colors on screen and brightness, are tiny touch different?
Thanks

[Q] 10j firmware....is it worth it?

So I have the D855 running 10g with root(thanks to purple drake)
I heard everyone talking about the leaked 10j firmware
But I'm kinda overwhelmed by some folks who are saying that there phones are bricked in the installation of the firmware
....
Should I install this 10j or wait for the OTA?
Is it worth it?
Also please feel free to share what are the differences between the 10j and 10g
And I would really appreciate if any one shares tutorial on how to flash the firmware
I'm new to LG :/
Phones :
LG G3 D855 = I'm loving it
hTC Evo 3D = Broken to pieces
Galaxy Note 2 N7100 = Sold it
Cant say ive noticed any difference apart from the ability to lock the 60hz frame rate. I didnt really have any lag or heat issues on 10g.
Wait for ota
Going from 10F to 10J I saw a huge improvement. I'm not sure when it'll be properly released, so if you don't mind flashing and reinstalling everything constantly, it's worth it I reckon.
For me the temperature warning hasn't come up yet.
Everything is so much more fluid and responsive.
Also battery life, well it hardly drains compared to before.

Best Lollipop Version?

Guys when I bought g4(H815P It can run H815 Roms) MM was already released and I used lollipop version for 2 minutes. A lot of people say LP is better. So which one is the best version for LP? Which one you recommend? Thanks..
i think the original 10b is by far best for battery life but other versions like 10d would be snappier, i have tried most lollypop versions an marshmallow ones an i always find myself going back to 10b within a week or to!marshmallow is awful in my eyes every version is mad with overheating an battery drain

These are the european versions, you can find all the firmwares for lollypop here on XDA with a simple search, but for battery the 10b version defiantly wins
